Spicy Vodka Rigate
Gordon S.

Wow. The food was amazing. We sat outdoors and it was warm, but they only had outdoor available, so we took it. My daughter had been before and told us it was a must try. We started with 3 apps. The spicy shrimp was delicious and the bread to drop? Just YUM! Calamari with shrimp was also great m, but the sausage bread was my favorite. Dense and full of flavor. We were full but ordered dinner anyways. My daughter had spicy vodka pasta and crispy chicken and loved it. Jess had chicken limone and also loved it. I had chicken parm (of course) and it was good. The stand out was the texture of the house made pasta in all three meals. Just that would be worth the trip. Our server was sweet and attentive, will be back, but will sit inside to be cooler.

Perfect happy hour! We sat on the patio and watched some of the World Cup game and it was the perfect place to do so. The carpaccio and vodka rigate were to die for! Our server was super sweet and helpful. It started getting packed after we sat and seemed like a go to spot for people to get a drink and bite and watch the games. The patio was a great vibe and overall was a great experience and will be adding it to my go to list for hh!

Came here with a friend on a whim and had a BLAST. The bread could have fed like 4-6 people but my friend and I devoured it. Pro tip: Get the ricotta!! I got the spicy sausage and vodka sauce pizza and I would highly recommend it! Everything was fresh. Our server made great recommendations. The noise level was manageable and I liked that they had indoor and outdoor seating! Parking was a little bit of a hot mess.

Last night I had the opportunity to try this establishment for the first time. It was a good experience. The food was delish! I ordered their Strawberry Basil Smash and their Crispy Chicken Limone as my main dish. The food was the perfect portion for me and was seasoned evenly. The service was good, it was a bit crowded so there was a delay in the server coming over to our table. The atmosphere was very calm and chic. There was a balance of modern and rustic features and vibe of the restaurant. Overall it was a great time and I will be returning. That's all!

Bar Italia has one of the best happy hours in Orlando. With great pizza, apps, and drinks you can't get better than this. Their happy hour at the bar and the bar tables only. If you're sitting at the bar you can walk up but if you want one of the bar top tables you need to see the hostess.

One of my favs in the Winter Park area. I love the indoor/outdoor bar seating. Snacks were in order, and we opted for a variety to sample; the Shrimp Scampi which had a light and spicy sauce, the One Big Meatball, and Tomato & Burrata apps. All very good. My GF was on a jag after the first visit, so we returned the next night for a rerun of the scampi, and I had a Caesar w chicken. The bar team has always been professional (and fun) on my numerous visits. Abundant praise for Whitney, Jason, Day, and Luis for their solid service.

It's been a while since I dined in here at Bar Italia and this experience was 10/10. We started off with the fritti misto. I'm always a sucker for calamari. I LOVED that this was served with shrimp AND calamari. The crisp was perfection. I loved the sauces that it was paired with as well- I believe it was marinara and aoli. For my main, I ordered the chicken limone. I loved that they added a small portion of pasta with the chicken limone. The creamy lemon sauce was the perfect balance. The last time I was here, it was only served with arugula, so this was a lovely touch. The service was quick and the ambiance was very chill, dimly lit, and the bar area had sports playing on the TVs. Perfect for a girls night, date night, or a birthday dinner. I'll happily be returning soon for more!

Rustic bread and whipped ricotta cheese

We came in for dinner and had a decent experience. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great vibe for dinner. Our waitress was very nice. To drink, I got a martini. It was basic, but good. For our entree, we got the rustic bread with whipped ricotta. The bead was fresh and I loved the olive oil and cheese. I do wish the olive oil was served in a more shallow dish to make it easier to dip the bread and get the herbs without drowning in oil. For my entree, I got the mushroom bianco pizza. It was crisp, cheesy, and savory with a good balance of toppings. My boyfriend got the spaghetti bolognese and loved it. While the food was nice, service was very slow. This has been a pattern in my experiences at Bar Italia. I wonder if they are chronically understaffed. Our wait was so long, the manager offered us a free desert. While we appreciated the gesture and the apologies, it was a downside of our experience. I'll definitely be back, but with the expectation that there may be a wait.

Fantastic and delicious meal here with a work group tonight. Servings were large and shareable for our group. Everyone in the group enjoyed the meal and each others company in a beautiful atmosphere with friendly staff. My favorite part of the meal was the rigatoni and chicken Parmesan. They brought us their cheesecake but it was so big I just brought it home. If you want some delicious Italian food that is not in Park Ave then come here.

Undercooked pasta

Last two out of three visits to Bar Italia in WP has been horrible. We decided to go back again last night to give it another try and we won't be returning ever again. Food quality and service has gone downhill. Service is extremely slow. On top of that we ordered the chicken parm and the pasta that came with it was undercooked. The chicken parm itself was burnt. How do you mess up a chicken parm??? This place use to be really good but its now complete garbage.

I have to say that the slow service and the drinks brought down my rating. Maybe it was a new bar tender but my martinis were pure vodka. Not even shaken. But, the food was delicious, fresh and I would go back for that crusty bread and whipped ricotta. My Halibut was so delicious, my mouth waters thinking about it. I wish we had a Bar Italia in Miami. The beef carpaccio was insane. Food was top tier. Service and drinks not so much.

Seasonal lemon pasta, lasagna, bread service

Made a reservation for 5:30, ended up getting there a little early. We were sat immediately, sadly we didn't realize happy hour did not extend into the restaurant and was only on the patio. We enjoyed an old fashion and dirty martini. The old fashion was a little too sweet for my boyfriend. The food was delish. Bread service ($6), lasagna and the seasonal creamy lemon pasta. Don't know that we needed bread when it already came with the pasta but super yummy from a local bakery. Our server, can't remember his name, a red haired man, seemed a little off. No smile and not super welcoming. Maybe just an off night. The ambiance was nice except for the rambunctious young family behind us. We will be back to enjoy happy hour on the patio.

One of my favorite restaurants here in Winter park. I'm a frequent goer and every time I come here there's never a not good meal. Crispy Chicken Limone- my favorite entree. I also got my parents onto it. So just imagine the waiters face when we ask for 3 of these lol. The country bread with the whipped ricotta was an amazing pairing. I loved how light the ricotta was. The ahi tuna was good! This place is perfect for family dinners, date night or catching up at the bar with friends.

I've been trying to stop into this distillery for years, but my timing was always off. Either they were closed that day i was there or not opening before I left. But today, the starts aligned. If you know, John and I love going to small craft/ small batch distilleries & we have the bar to back that up. Years of learning what we love and what we (I really) don't. I was all interested in the bourbon! And they delivered! Every batch is a one and done, with every new batch trying to be better and more refined than the last. Reminds me of myself, I'm always moving forward & trying to do better! Loved the bourbon. The Winter Park Arts Festival blend was phenomenal! Then... I tried the Gincident and that was an easy yes, let's take that bottle home. Meanwhile, Chase was bragging about their Best Espresso Martini.... hmmm, prove it. Made with bourbon, omg yes please. Proprietary blend of coffee, vodka made in house and yes, it was one of my to three I've ever had! And now I want to start trying various bourbons to make one at home! To be honest, we thought we were coming to a brewery and quickly realized it was a distillery. We walked in and noticed a bunch of outdoor seating. It was the perfect night so we looked forward to sitting outside. The atmosphere was busy, but laid back. We entered into the dimly lit establishment at Harry Potter playing on the TV (win!). It was a speakeasy-esque vibe and I loved it. We ordered an old-fashioned and espresso martini which were quickly brought to our table. They indicated that the espresso martini was the best one in town, so naturally I had to try it. I would definitely say it takes top five. We sat outside and had a great evening at this place. We will definitely be back and look forward to it.

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

However, for the sake of happy hour, I ordered the Cetriolo and my husband ordered a negroni bianco. The cetriolo was light, refreshing, heavy on the cucumber, and overall the perfect summer cocktail. And the negroni was smooth and sophisticated. As a starter, we ordered the meatballs (because you didn't go to prato if you didn't order them) and the Piccante Dolce to balance. The meatballs are always such a classic 10/10 you have to get them. The Piccante Dolce was light and very balanced. As our mains, I ordered the Duck and Foie Gras Mezzaluna (mind you i'm typically a mustard spaghetti girl) and was VERY surprised! It was a great portion, not too heavy, and absolutely delicious! My husband got the Chicken Saltimbocca and demolished the entire thing. It's safe to say he was a fan. Because it was my birthday, I was offered a free dessert from their menu. The Cheesecake with peach compote was incred. She wasn't too sweet and a great sized portion for 2 people. Our server, Alexandra, was the SWEETEST. She was so attentive and had such a great attitude. She offered to take pictures of us, and really made our day. Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list.
