I've been to Bar Italia a couple of times. The restaurant is very spacious and perfect for a date night. The servers have always had great recommendations. They're patient and don't rush you. This time we went for lunch and ordered the zucchini fritti, so good and perfect for sharing with the table. I had the grilled lemon chicken sandwich, the seasoning on the chicken was perfect. I will say first and foremost, the customer service was amazing but ultimately the dining experience was regrettable. I started of with the short rib arancini and it was bland and almost zero short rib. The server was super attentive and she took it away. I decided to get the Caesar salad with the salmon as an added protein and my companion decided on the tuna tartare. Things took a turn for the worst at this point. The tuna tartare should have never left the kitchen and made it to our table. It was grey in color and visibly unsuitable to be served or consumed. Then for my salad, the salmon was very under cooked. When the server came to check on us she immediately recognized the problem and rushed to get things corrected. The manager came by and was deeply apologetic and very kind. He comped us a round of drinks and we decided to make one more attempt at a meal. We both ordered pepperoni pizza and we also had an order of the zucchini fritti. Those selections were satisfactory but at this point I was just famished and wanted to eat and not send anything back to the kitchen. In conclusion, the manager and the server were fantastic but being served food that could've made us ill is not an experience I would return for. read more

Was here to celebrate my youngest's birthday and she wanted some carpaccio and burrata so this is where we ended up. They acknowledged her birthday when we first arrived and had us seated right away. It was a little dark in the dining room, but just used phone lights as needed. The server was very friendly and the food all came out quickly. I also did the carpaccio and Italian wedding soup for my meal and both were really good. The soup was not what I have typically had previously, but it had good flavor. Loved Bar Italia! Went here for a midweek work lunch and it was such a great spot -- not too crowded and had a nice, elevated vibe without feeling stuffy. The food was excellent! We started with the grilled Roman artichokes, and wow -- they were amazing. You honestly can't come here without trying them. The salsa verde and lemon flavor on top were super fresh and topped with Parmesan it all just melted in your mouth. Incredible flavor! For my main, I had the Italian sandwich, which was so tasty -- the roasted banana peppers gave it the perfect little kick. My coworker got the crispy chicken limone, and it looked incredible. I sat a little further inside the restaurant this time and found it even darker than I remember it from before I noted the large chandelier had most of the bulb burn out, and it was very difficult to see the menu. The food here is incredible. Special occasion? I'm here. Whenever I have friends visit Orlando, THIS is where I take them. I'm Gluten Free and struggle to find good pasta but this GF pasta is incredible. The ambiance is also perfect (in my opinion) because it is semi-casual, with an open kitchen, but also has the bar top with sports on the screens! I truly think it's a place for anyone. Beautiful bar and restaurant the service here was really great. We got half price bottle of wine on Thursday night and the bread service is really good. Highly recommend has a lot of great things on the menu and can't wait to come back to try more things at this location, I also ran into carrot top, which was an amazing surprise. 15 Dec 2025: This being our second visit to this restaurant the staff and flavorful food did not disappoint. The Waiter (Cisco) provided some great menu recommendations. So we ordered two entrees Lemon Chicken and Lasagna. While we waited the Manager (Keith) delivered to us some tasty bread with some seasoned olive oil. Our meal arrived and both dishes were absolutely delish...great flavor and cooked just right. We ended our meal with a special Chocolate Hazelnut Cake with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. I have been to Bar Italia so many times and each time, the food and ambiance are both spot on. Our family loved every item we have ordered each time (always save room for Tiramisu). The only thing that is always inconsistent is service-this is the reason for 4/5 stars. You may wait a while for each stage of your meal. This was our first dining experience at Bar Italia. I must say I very disappointed in the lack of flavor in their food. This is Italian cuisine, it should taste as such! I had the Zucchini Spaghetti, which didn't come with anything, no salad, no bread, no choice of a side! It had too much sauce, and very bland! My husband had the Veal Marsala; again, no flavor. Our server, Sam was wonderful; kind, courteous and attentive. The atmosphere is great, very classy looking. Besides indoor bar seating, they also have plenty of outdoor bar seating with TV's. Plenty of outdoor dining also. Bar Italia is located at the Winter Park Village where as you know, parking is difficult to find, but they do offer FREE valet parking. I told the manager that we would return to try some of their other dishes. We gave them feedback on the food, and reminded them that this is supposed to be an Italian restaurant. We usually hit the Marlin Bar to pre game with cocktails and apps. We were undecided where to eat dinner. We've always seen Bar Italia but never tried it, so we said why not let's give it a go. One of my favorite dishes is carpaccio and the one at Bar Italia hit the spot it was amazing. For dinner I had the short ribs with pasta it was delicious truly felt like comport food. The daughter had the chicken marsala which she loved. The Mrs. Had the tuna app and didn't care for it. Both of them dove into my dish which they both loved. I should have ordered a second. For desert we had the affogato and tiramisu the girls loved the affogato and I had the tiramisu I didn't care for the nuts on to of it but the tiramisu was excellent. Stopped in for lunch for the first time in a few months. When I come for lunch, I always get the lasagna and salad but I noticed the lasagna was different today. Apparently they changed the recipe for a few of their items recently! The new one wasn't bad, but I was slightly disappointed. I was a little disappointed in the small portion of pasta that was served with it, and that the pasta was dry instead of properly incorporated into the sauce.
