Buy and bottle of wine and drink it here. Take home whatever you don't finish
    Leslie V.

Honestly, this place is one of my favorite places to enjoy a drink, eat good food, and meet up with friends and family. I am here about 3-4 times week, and sometimes consecutive Friday and Saturday night. I've heard that not all Whole Foods have a bar like Rincon, but I am glad that ours does. It makes such a different when I just want to have dinner in a casual dining place and be able to drink a nice cold beer straight from the beer aisle. My favorite perks about Rincon are the following: Daily deals from Monday-Friday. The ones I'm familiar with is Wings+Beer Mondays, Burger+Beer Wednesday, Fish & Chips +Beer Fridays, which are usually about $10 or $12, which is honestly a deal when you're getting a meal and a pint of beer of your choice. Another popular deal, is the $5 Wine Wednesday. I recently tried out their Fish & Chips, and it was delicious! And with the side of fries. Bring in your purchased beer or wine, which my family and I do often. And the staff can take the rest of the beers that aren't open and keep them in the fridge to keep them cold. Bring in your food. What we like to do often, is buying a nice juicy piece of meat, preferably a ribeye, they cook to your liking, buying the sides, and enjoying this delicious dinner at Rincon. They food selection is also really good. They have a big selection to chose from. Whether it's form their food menu, their meat market, or their food market made, there is always something for anyone, and you can bring them all into Rincon. Last thing I wanted to mention is service and staff. I see some very negative reviews on here, and yes i understand their frustration, but they are probably the customers that were there just once and never gave them another try. But yes, I've been here where the servers were swamped, tables not cleaned or tended to, and felt completely ignored. But I know they do there best to try and get to everyone. And although it's always perfect, service has always been consistently good. They are kind and friendly. Overall, I recommend this place for some drinks before a movie or a show at Levity, or to just have a nice casual dinner. Avoid coming during the peek hours, which will usually be Friday nights. I wouldn't be surprised if I'll be here tomorrow. I love and enjoy this place!

Great spot if you're looking for a casual place and quick place to grab a bite. Menu offers the standard selection of American lunch/dinner meals which include salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers and appetizers. YOU CAN PURCHASE BEER ON TAP FROM THE BAR OR PURCHASE FROM THE ALCOHOL AISLE AND DRINK AT THE BAR. Make sure to get the PAID STICKER for any purchased beverages you plan to drink at the bar. You will need to also show your ID. Servers immediately give you a glass to enjoy your drink. My brother and I shared the Rincon Mega Nachos and Pacific Rim Shroom Burger with a side of Parmesan Garlic Fries. Each dish was mediocre but somewhat satisfying. Although I would not return to enjoy a burger, I definitely appreciate the laid back atmosphere along with the TV displaying the NBA playoffs.

Love this Place! One of the juiciest Burgers I ever had. The vegetables taste so fresh and delicious. Great customer service fast and friendly.

Buy beer from the fridge and enjoy at the bar.

A great place to grab a fresh pint of craft ale. In addition to the nice selection of about two dozen beers on draught, you can also choose any of the beers on offer in the refrigerator for retail sale to drink at the bar, and being inside a Whole Foods, it is a hell of a selection. Great friendly service. Also, they have $10 daily specials on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Monday they have 10 wings and a beer, Thursdays is a burger and a beer and Fridays is Fish and Chips and a beer, all for $10. See you there! 5 stars as the beer is fresh, the servers knowledgeable and the conversation is spirited.

Located right in the middle of amazing groceries this place definitely knows how to cater to people looking for an affordable quality meal well worth the fight for seating. The menu is kept simple with some all time favorites. How can you go wrong with cheese plates, truffle fries, daily specials, and a great selection of beers on tap? If you can't find a beer you like grab one from the extensive beer selection just across the way and the bar staff will happily provide you with a chilled glass! I just so happened to pop in on Thursday where the burgers are accompanied by a beer of your choice for a mere $10. They had 4 different SD breweries on tap 4 beers each! I went with the coffee cream ale and the grapefruit sculpin and both were great. I also got the burger added avocado and bbq quesadilla which were both great portions and reasonably priced!

    Oh they have daily specials!

My friends and I just found out about this place by accident while strolling around Whole Foods and it is a good find! This small section inside Whole Foods is great (although not too great for alcoholics). It's a well functioning bar with a good selection of foods and a variety of beers on tap to choose from. What my friends and I really like is the fact that you can eat and drink produce that you bought from the store at the bar. Buy a six pack and pizza, then have a sticker labeled "paid" on them and bam! Have a good time at the bar with your friends. The staff could be better, but you wouldn't care with having your money's worth and getting tipsy. TL;DR: -buy six pack in the store. -get anything you'd like to eat or drink from the store. -tell cashier you're drinking/eating it at the bar.

I've venturered to whole foods many time in the past and to be able to buy a case of beer and drink it inthe bar is amazing, however it was my first time trying the Bar Rincon for food, it tasted very good. My waitress Rae was very attentive and was more than helpful. I really enjoyed my eating experience here and more than likely will return. #HappyCustomer

Mega nachos that are listed as a starter. Wayyyy huge; entree portion.

I expected so much more from this place being that it's inside a Whole Foods. I love Whole Foods' deli, cafe, and salad bar so when I saw that they now had a gastropub I thought h*** yes! I ordered the nachos as a starter but even when shared amongst 2 people it's a lot of food so I ended up having it as entree. My boyfriend ordered the Rincon burger medium rare. The burger was brought well done and it was really your ordinary diner burger. Nothing special. Same with the nachos. Great ingredients, quality food but overall taste wise it just ok. Nothing to really come back for; next time I'll stick to ordering from the deli. They do however carry Nitro Milk Stout which is amazing. I'd come here for the drinks and an app but nothing more.

Just for being a bar in a grocery store, Bar Rincon already gets 3 stars from me! As for the other 2 stars, the fact that I can buy something in the store, (alcoholic or not) and have it at the bar, after I've payed. All the people that work there are amazing, especially Susan and Joshua. Have you ever seen the nachos at Bar Rincon? They are gigantic! This concept is great, though a bit dangerous. I get tipsy then start shopping at Whole Foods, that's when it turns into Whole Paycheck!

We expect a certain standard, a level of care that borders on obsession. So when I catch Evan Williams--respectable, questionable, but barely twelve bucks a bottle--making an appearance behind the bar, it feels like a breach of trust. A quiet betrayal under low lighting. The illusion only works if the details hold up under scrutiny... and that pour? It broke the spell. And then comes the real offense: discovering that your Old Fashioned--the crown jewel of any respectable cocktail program--are built on bottom-shelf, dust-collecting bourbon. That's not just a letdown, it's a slap in the face. A cocktail like that deserves reverence, not shortcuts. And as if to twist the knife, there it was--a massive can of red maraschino cherries sitting shamelessly atop the bar, like some relic from a dive that's given up on finesse. It wasn't just a misstep. It was disrespect. In a place claiming the speakeasy mantle, details like these matter. They're the difference between theater and parody. The cocktails did not warrant the $15 price tag. Moreover, I would have paid more had I know the class of bourbon upfront. What ultimately redeems the space is its ambiance. The low flicker of the fireplace, the soft embrace of worn leather sofas, the curated hum of music floating just above conversation--it's seductive, even soulful. The room itself is small, intimate--the kind of place where you're bound to recognize a face, or at the very least, feel inclined to invite a stranger to share the sofa and maybe a story. And then there's the setting--tucked beneath a historic relic, a basement bar built into the bones of old Americana. The building dates back to the early 1900s, echoing with a past that deserves to be honored, not phoned in. That's exactly why I expected more from the cocktails. A place with this much atmosphere shouldn't fall flat when it comes to what's in the glass. It's a mismatch--a beautiful stage, but a script that doesn't quite rise to meet it.

The cocktails change so it's always fun to come back! I always try to be there when this section opens.
