Great place and experience. I stopped in for a late lunch, was greeted and served drinks promptly. The prosciutto and melon was excellent, almost a meal unto itself. I ordered a pasta special without cheese due to a dairy allergy. It was unfortunately served with parmesan. The waitress apologized and had the kitchen remake the dish. It was a very small inconvenience. The replacement was great and to my surprise, the pasta was comped. Kudos to management. read more

Unfortunately I would agree with the albeit short review from JR. Having a big pizza oven in the corner of the bar does imply a pizza ' joint'. 20$ cocktails does imply expensive. The bartender was not friendly at all, forgot her name. Not only that it took her 5 minutes to notice us as she was too busy talking to her friends. I did read the response and did not see why the owner needed this long winded response. You are in the restaurant biz and you will get some bad reviews and people are allowed an opinion. Usually we love sitting at the bar having dinner. Tonight the service was absolutely horrible! Had to flag bartender down to order dinner, had to ask for bread that everyone else got. Never asked if we wanted another drink. However the young girls on both sides of us couldn't get enough attention! So unless your under 30 wearing low cut dresses don't expect any service! Andrew got our first drink, he is a great bartender, the other two are to busy flirting with the young girls. I will never be back unless there is empty seats by Andrew. read more

My husband & I along with three friends went to Bar Tulia last night. Our server was Michelle L who was a delight and very accommodating right from the start. She even went as far as raising two umbrellas because it started to drizzle and then 10 minutes latter put them down because the rain had stopped. Michelle made great suggestions from the menu. We enjoyed Squash Blossoms, Garganelli pasta, and delicious wine. Michelle L was the ultimate server. We are all looking forward to returning soon. read more

Came here with a party of 6 on a Saturday night. Reserved for outdoor seating but it too cold so asked to be moved inside. Our server, Chris, could not be more accommodating. He let us order drinks at our outside table while we waited for one to open up inside. Once inside, he explained the menu choices perfectly and was so knowledgeable of the different foods and flavor combinations. I would give a five as the food was fabulous but the bartender we had could not make a decent cocktail. I am not a wine or beer person and love a good cocktail. First ordered drink Hendrix and tonic they had no fresh cucumber so used cucumber juice. Yuck! Undrinkable. I then asked for an orange cosmo and obviously the formula for a smooth cosmo is unknown to this particular bar. Such a shame! The fifth avenue location hires and trains bartenders where this location must pull them off the street. If the cocktail cost $6 I might understand. But with the cost of a good cocktail one ought to receive a good cocktail! Very disappointing. They need to have a standard. read more

Ordered the charcuterie board a pizza and a couple glasses of wine. The charcuterie board had 1 cheese and 5 meats including olive loaf??? On a board? Ordered a a second board of creamy burrata cheese with tomatoes which was very good. Bartender was very busy prepping for the evening. Way too many fruits and vegetables for the signature cocktails. If there was a negative star it would be fitting. Not only did I basically get severed a glass of ice j stead of my drink, the bridle sprouts were burned to a crisp, the ribs had no flavor, and the ceviche had a bug in it. The manager said "at least it doesn't eat much". Seriously? Downtown is great but this place is horrific. read more

Quick pop in on a rainy summer afternoon. We were seated with hesitance from the hostess staff of three. Arriving at 4:44 they explained that they were expecting a large group on the terrace at 6:30, and if we weren't going to be long, we could be seated. We confirmed our pop in intentions and were seated immediately. The terrace was beautifully lit with amber soft lighting, which was very welcoming on a drizzly day. The vibe was hip and fresh, but warm..almost nostalgic somehow transporting a simple afternoon into a special outing. Server was prompt and knowledgeable. Crafted cocktails were nothing short of amazing,(Stanchez, Last Dragon and a green number with cucumber and elderberry). Some refreshing, some sultry. The show stopper and must try were the oysters. For those that turn their noses to the traditional approach which consist of horseradish, cocktail and crackers.. These were delicate, crispy clean and simply exquisite. I have had them one other time prepared this way, in a little French cafe and was a tad reluctant to sample because I didn't want to tarnish my absolute favorite. Got a recommendation to come here for our first time. Michelle was our server and she was quite impressive with her knowledge of the wines and the food choices. She made our dinner experience quite enjoyable and put us all at ease with knowing what to recommend to us as we chatted with her. Our meals came out very promptly and Michelle checked back with us several times to make sure we were satisfied. Some meals were definitely pricey but with this type of service we were more than pleased. We will be returning. read more

This is such a knock off tulia. Fifth is so much better. This place is biased against customers they think do not have money. This manager has a lot to be determined and is discriminatory . We have been faithful regular customers of Trulia, Bar Trulia and The French downtown for years. Today we were in North Naples so we stopped at the Bar Trulia in Mercato. The place is great, the bartenders were great, the wine was great but I have to say the Charcuterie plate bordered on terrible. It was a plate full of meat covered in oil with about 8-10 very small cubes of one kind of cheese. Maybe this is a traditional plate somewhere but we're used to lots of different cheeses, olives, meats, crackers, honeys, etc. etc. I would highly recommend that your servers let people know that the dish may not be what they are used to. We would have order something else. As it is we picked at it a bit and left hungry. read more

Last night at Bar Tulia Mercato we had a delicious dinner and great service . But the hostesses were very confused, we didn't have a reservation ( hoping to sit at the bar) we asked for a table and we were told we would have a 21/2 hr wait . There were several tables empty inside and out. The bar was full, so we said we would wait but went next door for a drink, we no sooner got a drink when the hostess called she said she had a table, we explained that we had just gotten a drink, she said no problem and we said we would be over in 10 minutes, she said take your time. When we got back to Bar Tulia she told us she had given the table away. We were told we could wait 212/ hours for another one. We said we didn't want to wait. As we were walking out she offered one of the many tables outside which was where we wanted to sit, since we met up with some friends who wanted to join us. The food and service were great but the hostesses need to be trained to try to be more accommodating to their customers. read more
