Not a vegan or a vegetarian but found myself here after my cousins and I left Whiskey on the Waterfront at Sagamore. We came during happy hour so I got a margarita and chicken Rest my "Ques"adilla. We also ordered other things for the table: cheesesteak egg rolls, fries, and Brussel sprouts. Everything was so good I forgot it was vegan. I will say that the chicken quesadilla was just ok. I traded a piece of mine for a piece of my cousin's steak quesadilla and I enjoyed the steak more than the chicken. Also, my margarita tasted like straight tequila. It wasn't mixed well. Service was also great! Our server was a vibe and she was so attentive and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience and made me look at vegan food differently. Definitely will to go back.

Came for happy hour on a Wednesday. We were there for over an hour and the tvs were on, no sound until the music started playing. There's not alot of options compared to the regular menu. I did appreciate the mocktail options since I don't drink. Our waitress Amber was attentive. Everything I had was good, however I didn't understand the old bay all over chik'n quesadillas. Also, a vegan/tofu sour cream would be a nice addition. They did make a quick yogurt and lemon "sauce" but it didn't pair well. Do expect to get triple taxed though. You get charged service fee 4%, gratuity 16% which all are totaled before they charge you an additional 10% tax!

Gorge decor, great vibes, lovely staff, great customer service. I visited this evening (Friday) and it was so chill. I was elated to see they had TV screens so I could catch the Knicks vs Pacers. I ordered the following. Maple Glazed Brussels - Very tasty. Not too sweet. Mocktail (What-a-Melon) - Very smooth. Fresh fruit. The only issue was how the loud the DJ was. I was a party of 1, a party of 2 was have been stressful. You can't hear over the music. I'll def return, more than likely I'll return during the day when it's a little more quiet. I'm glad to have this business near !!

If I could give Bar Vegan more than five stars, I absolutely would. An acquaintance and I drove all the way from Brooklyn, NY specifically to visit Bar Vegan, and they treated us like royalty from the moment we walked in. That first night after the drive was an entire vibe. Their espresso martini--made with almond milk, I believe--was different in the best way and so, so good. The food? Don't even get me started. The Bang Bang Shrimp, Cheezesteak Eggrolls, Elote Street Corn, and Maple Brussels Sprouts were all hits. Every single one. We loved it so much that we decided not to rush back to NYC and make a full weekend out of it. One of the owners personally recommended ROOST Baltimore Pennisula, a nearby apartment-style hotel, and wow--beyond awesome. Truly the perfect suggestion. We came back to Bar Vegan for brunch, and somehow the experience was even better than the night before. Our server, Shavone, was phenomenal--attentive, kind, warm, and just an absolute joy. We also got to meet some of the kitchen staff preparing our food, and I made sure to give them their flowers because listen... I am not vegan, and I loved everything. The omelette, sausage, shrimp and grits, chopped salad, French toast, and fresh-squeezed juices were all superb. Before heading back to NYC, we stopped in one final time that evening--and once again, they did not miss. The oxtails and jollof rice, Brussels sprouts, corn, and potstickers were straight fire. I truly wish nothing but continued success and growth for this place. Bar Vegan deserves all the love, all the recognition, and all the thriving. We came as visitors and left as fans for life. Be well--and we'll definitely be back.

I finally had a chance to try Bar Vegan but only for drinks and desserts. Let's dive into my experience. First, shoutout to Rey, the best bartender in town! This woman knew her mixes and wasn't afraid to push the envelope, or shaker, to serve up some AMAZING drinks! My mango margarita was an example of that but I'll dive into that part a little later. Ambiance: this bar is perfect for date night or a night with your friends-it welcomes either party. They had a live DJ and tv screens playing sports and videos! Drinks: my cousin ordered a green tea with Jameson and babyyyyyy that drink might be added to my summer must haves. It was lite and refreshing and packed a great flavor. I ordered the mango margarita and honey, I'm still floating over the flavor and generous serving of tequila. This drink was EVERYTHING! Dessert: we ordered the deep fried Oreos which came with a side of coconut ice cream and honey, I've yet to try another fried Oreos worth bragging about! These were DELICIOUS! And the ice cream was rich, creamy, and memorable. Would I return? YES, count me in! I'm planning a return as we speak. They do serve food at the bar but again, we were there to have drinks and dessert and I'm so glad that we did!

I visited Bar Vegan just after having a burger over at Slutty Vegan, so while the menu offerings looked really good, I was already full, unfortunately. My party and I were seated at a table for 6. Bar Vegan is definitely a vibe, it's been well decorated to create a comfortable space. That said, the volume the music is played ruins the tranquility. It makes me feel like an old person to say it, but I couldn't hear a thing the people across from me at the table were saying. We asked them to turn it down, but they said it was loud to cover some shrieking noise. Regardless, the music volume was an issue the whole time we were there. The good news is the music was awesome! Our server was nice but on the slow side. It took a long time for us to order, for drinks to come, to be able to pay, etc. I did like the energy so I will definitely return with an empty stomach. Hopefully the experience will be better with food.

Nice vibe and decor! I visited last Wednesday for a fundraising event for the Urban League. Nearby parking wasn't too bad. I wasn't sure how to pay for parking so I risked it and luckily I didn't get a ticket! I won't recommend that though. This whole area is so nice and I'm excited to see what else is added to Baltimore Penninsula. I'm not a vegan nor will I be but I appreciate the concept. The drinks are good but a bit on the pricey side. Service overall was good. I'm plan to be back soon!

Came to their grand opening this evening and it wasn't just the DJ . . . complete vibe! I'm looking forward to coughing chilling here and trying more of their dishes on the near future. I'll update my review as the night goes on.

I walked into this beautiful restaurant and met Mya and Chardonnay on last Sunday. It is indeed a beautiful place. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken with rice. It was absolutely delicious. The only issue I had was the proportion size was not commensurate to the price. It was so small. Perhaps, if I am in the area again, I will give it another try. Hopefully, they will prove me wrong.

This was a nice lil date night situation. The music was good, a little loud, but if you are close and comfy, you won't mind. The service was soo good! The lady was nice and helped as needed. They were busy, but the service was still great! The food was good. Very tasty . We tried a few dishes. I absolutely love the Brussel sprouts. I think that's my ultimate favorite item, well that and those Oreos. I love that they partnered with local businesses for ice cream and juices. Very good touch. I can't wait to go back to try brunch.

Bar vegan was recommended by their Friday night DJ while in town at another local bar. This place did NOT disappoint! The bar has a very classy, vibrant aesthetic. I loved that the walls flipped up creating an outside space. The weather was nice so the breeze being able to come through was amazing! On Friday they had a DJ with a live drummer, and the music was great. The drinks were a little on the expensive side but definitely made well! Both the hostess and our server were friendly and made sure we were satisfied. We had already eaten before we got there so we didn't try the food hence the reason for 4 stars! Would definitely visit Bar Vegan when back in town.

This is a beautiful establishment! Very colorful and vibrant. The music is entirely too loud ! At 7 pm the volume is so loud that you cannot carry a conversation. This is a party atmosphere and the servers are nice. They are very busy and you may have to flag a waitress down to check on your food. My party of 3 sat at the bar and 2 of the 3 meals came out within 20 min. My friend waited for onion rings , egg rolls, and fries for almost 30 min. Food is OK . I had the fried fish wrap using oyster mushrooms and steak fries. These mushrooms were battered Downnnnnn and the fries taste like frozen grocery store potatoe wedges. I washed it down with a What a Melon Mocktail . The Mocktail was cool but the cucumber pieces kept getting stuck in the straw and all of the sweetness was at the bottom of the glass when the liquid was gone. SIGH The vegan quesadilla was cool and the eggrolls were good but not worth the wait. I'd like to give them another chance ...maybe during the day for lunch ? IDK ‍ It's just not what I expected.

Located on the top level of Crossbar Biergarten, The Wurst is a true hidden gem. You would never know it was there unless someone told you. The entrance is literally a walk-in freezer door just to the left of the stairs on the second floor, which adds to the fun speakeasy feel. We stopped in for pregame drinks before a nearby Yelp Elite event, and it did not disappoint. We were the only ones in the bar, and our bartender was fantastic, quick, friendly, and clearly knew his craft. I ordered a Paper Plane, a whiskey based cocktail with Aperol, lemon, and Amaro Nonino. It was perfectly balanced and the ideal drink to have after work. My fiancée ordered the Pornstar Martini, which she became very familiar with during a recent trip to Paris. The Wurst's version was a bit unorthodox since they serve the champagne on the side instead of as a floater on top. Not a negative, just different, and more of a deconstructed approach that some might treat like a chaser. Overall, The Wurst is a really cool concept bar that feels unlike anything else in Federal Hill. Between the hidden entrance, relaxed atmosphere, and quality drinks, it is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy creative cocktails and a good story to go with them.

Its…read moreusually hard to get a breakfast buffet wrong but unfortunately this buffet experience was lackluster. They offered a variety of items: deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, chicken and waffles, beef and chorizo quesadillas, sausage, home fries, and French toast. They advertised fruit salad on the menu but they didn't have it out on the day we went. For starters, the food was lukewarm. Everything could have tasted so much better if it was warm. Even when they would refill the pans, everything was still not warm enough. The restaurant was not packed but they were slow to refill for the parties that were there. When we tried to go back for a second plate, most of the items weren't replenished and the line was getting longer. It was so bad that one group asked to pay for their drinks and leave because they weren't able to get any food. My option of each item: Deviled eggs- yolk mixture was on the drier side and bland Scrambled eggs- they were ok. Just needed to be warm Chicken and waffles- it was giving "chicken tender on eggo waffle" chicken was better than the bland waffle. It also didn't help that the syrup they had was cold and thick. It made the waffle (and French toast) colder and hard to swallow. French toast- the first batch was (with the exception of being cold) perfectly cooked and dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. The refill batches were so burnt and hard to chew and they didn't bother putting powdered sugar on them. Again, the cold syrup didn't help. Beef and chorizo quesadillas- they may have been a crowd favorite because getting a second serving was hard because they kept going quickly and took a while to replenish. They just needed to be warmer and served with sour cream. Home fries- great with the peppers and onions. Just need to be warmer. Sausage- my least favorite thing because it didn't taste like Sausage. It was very dry. Sadly, the food was a epic fail. This may be a great place for cocktails because the bartender mixed our margaritas perfectly. They had a Build Your Own Margarita menu with many different flavor options. I opted for the watermelon margarita with a Tajin rim. Delicious! My friend had a pineapple mango margarita with sugar rim and he was impressed also. The drinks earned them an extra star because otherwise, I think the food and the slow refilling of the buffet earned it 2 stars.

In the past we've had a Gimlet here, so we asked and they made us one while we waited, even though it wasn't featured on their online menu. Basically it's a pleasant gin with bright lime juice and probably simple syrup. Very refreshing, and served chilled with a slice of lime in an intricately-etched Nick & Nora coupe. I ordered a freshly-fried $16 Catfish Po' Boy, with lettuce and tomato and a little very lightly-spicy mayo-butter sauce on fresh French Bread. It's a generous enough sandwich that I ate it in two goes, and that bread really crisped-up beautifully flakey! Because we cannot resist, we also got an order of fresh-made deep-fried beignets, little randomly-shaped crispy pastry-dough treats in a sneezeable amount of powdered sugar. It came with chocolate dipping sauce, which was a fun addition. The food and drink were delightful, as were the staff.

First time here with a close friend. Right across from Cross Street Market. Came at 5 on "Fat…read moreTuesday" which is every Tuesday. Happy hour is 4-7 pm. Was great that you didn't have to sit at the bar to order it. We sat inside by the window and it was a great breeze. Chargrilled oysters and crawfish bread was very good. I order the seafood platter. Calamari and shrimp were fried a little hard for my liking. Catfish was more like bites instead of a filet. My friend got the crab cakes but said there was a lot of filler. There was a convenience fee added to my check but have no idea what that was for. Also, they automatically add 19% gratuity to the bill. Overall I would revisit to try some other things on the menu.
