This place feels very upscale and take good care of your hair or what little you may have left of it, like mine. I forgot the name of my barber, but he was really nice. He was personable and conversed with me as he was cutting my hair. I usually cut my own hair and I'm used to feeling pinches here and there whenever I shave my head. I didn't feel any pain the entire time he cut it and it felt like a massage on my head. I was shocked because of how good the cut felt. I tipped him nicely, I hope, because he deserved it for how good he treated my hair. He even trimmed my beard a bit to make it look fashionable even though I didn't ask for it because I thought it would cost extra. My regular barber wasn't in so Yelp comes through for me yet again in a jam. Met Eli in his 'mobile' salon and right away I was impressed with his friendly and fun demeanor. I was a bit skeptical by the setup but as soon as I got in the chair and we started talking I could tell he knew what he was doing and that I was going to get my money's worth and that he would be earning a returning customer. Bob, Eli and Fidel. All great precision barbers. Bob is thee "guy" I've been seeing him for almost 2 years, for about once a month. I'm always modifying my existing shave fade / razor part. From subtle changes, to not-so-subtle. Sometimes I prefer my hair long, and sometimes I prefer it short. The razor part is always moving as well. Whether it goes all the way to the back, half way, or curved with angles and Bob never complains. He listens, inspects, and initiates the cut. He enters each haircut with patience and never rushes, even when I have my fits of indecisiveness. Easy going dude. The place is clean, and very casual. Welcoming most of the times. If the guys don't greet you, or acknowledge you, it's because they're focused on cutting someone's hair. It happened to me when I first walked in. Nothing personal. Friendly staff. The other two in house barbers are great as well. Friendly dudes. Fidel's English is limited, so there is a language barrier with him. Tho, I've seen his clients haircuts and they've been neat cuts / fades. This place is always stocked with Lay Rite pomade and other products as well. Highly recommended for certain hairstyles. Like in any barbershop, it's best to describe the haircut as best as you can, or bring in an image as to avoid any mishaps. It helps for first timers. read more

The owner Eli has been my barber for over twelve years. Through hard work and perseverance he now has his own shop. He took this space from a real dump to a nice comfortable environment. Their are 3 barbers total and all put out a good results. This shop specializes from normal haircuts to skin fades. You want it, they do it. Came In to get a haircut today , for 30 dollars I was expecting a hot shave and a better haircut than usual but instead I asked for a shaved fade they never used the razor they tried to use a bootleg shaving machine and to top it off they left long hairs by my ear both sides, now I know why he didint show me the mirror to check myself out when I was done I got my cut with the white dude with the tattoos thought they would be more inclined to do better with new guests but no well my hunt for a good barber continues...and I will be demanding a refund ! read more

Sean Martinez has been cutting my hair for about 8 years. I usually had my hair cut every two weeks, and it was perfect every time. When i first moved back to the LA area, I went through probably a dozen or so barbers/stylist, in every type of shop, from small two chair shops, chain salons, fancy pants places, and those "cool" old school places with PBR on tap, etc. I just never found someone that met my standards until I found Sean. He is a true artist and all around great person that works some kind of magic through his clippers and shears. been a couple years since I actually went to a barber as I've just stuck to the same lady cutting my hair twice a month at Supercuts. I wanted to adventure out and find a nice welcoming barber shop, and so I looked on yelp... the first one to pop up was some parlor barber shop but when I went in, it was a bunch of high maintenance girls cutting hair so I said f**k that and came to this place instead... I called ahead to see how long the wait was, which was 45 minutes.. I showed up 20 minutes before my appointment and sat down to wait. was a weird sorta unwelcoming environment... nothing was said but a 'ur the one who called?' the whole time I waited.. everyone seemed to just be speaking Spanish. They have 3 chairs and I noticed the barbers were on their phones a lot, so I'm assuming they have their own direct number for appointments.. finally it was my turn to be up, so Fidel called me over. I showed him photos of what I wanted and he caught on pretty quick and got straight to the point. He spoke, what sounded like broken English so any conversation during the cut was extremely difficult to have and brief.. definitely a really nice guy though. I got my haircut in a chair right below the tv so while everyone else was getting their cut while they watched tv, I had no choice but to just basically look around and watch others watch tv (weird and awkward.) Other than that though, the cut was nice. I'll probably be back. I guess to cut the review short, and why I gave it three stars... - kind of unwelcoming. didn't feel very comfortable. - everyone was speaking Spanish. as a white surburban kid, it was kind of obnoxious - the person who gets their haircut under the tv gets screwed out of watching it, so they should definitely get another - only 3 barber chairs so the wait can get out of hand.. read more

I've been going to Sean Martinez for a little over a year now and always come out with a nice clean haircut. My girlfriend and family always compliment me on my hair after a new cut. First time at Barber 2 You and man was the cut fresh! Eli is very cool, laid back and chill. I asked for a #1 fade to blend with the top of my hair and he gave me options of what he could do. Obviously, he knew what he was doing. The cut was the best I've ever had. He gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and added a little of his own style. I went to a family event straight after and no joke, I had a couple of them tell me they loved my cut. Eli is the man, I will definitely be back for sure. Made a late appointment with Eli for my very first visit. Been reading reviews on Yelp and couldn't help but try. I used to go to a barber in Carson, but they are always busy and it is out of the way so I wanted to find something closer to home. Eli was great to say the least. I told him I am growing out my hair and just to trim the sides and blend it in so it grows out good.
