We chose this as a lunch after my grandma's memorial service. I really enjoy their outside eating area so you can really take in downtown Claremont. We were served quickly. Our server was very nice. A couple of us ordered some drinks and a couple had some coffee. Unfortunately, I didn't capture photos of half of the food because everybody ate so quickly because the food is delicious. I would say the star of the show is their special warm Asian chicken salad. The sauce is phenomenal. The chicken is great and everything really comes together in that dish. The grilled chicken on top of the Caesar salad was also great and not dried out. Two people in our party ordered the pork chop and it is huge and a generous portion and it comes bone in. Also not pictured is the Manila clam chowder and that is amazing in itself if you chose to do the soup and salad option.

This place is cute and is hidden in a little college village between two highways. The food is fresh and delish! The service is friendly and kind. The staff works together to ensure all requests are met. The price points are competitive and its great place for any occasion. The next time I am in Claremont I will return to try some of the other dishes. Street Parking only. Side note the area the restaurant is in is Picturesque with a warn feeling.....

Ambiance: 6 / 10 There's indoor tables around the bar as well as giant headboard booths for a more private feel and they have a large covered patio with great community views for those desiring to dine al fresco. A little older on style but quaint. Im sure at night with fire-pit nearby and giant lamps on, wonderful & cozy Service: 8 / 10 Attentive, checked on us, offered suggestions that worked out. Surprised us with birthday cakes!! ( Mother in-laws & mine) Food: Duck Tacos - 8 / 10 Surprisingly great flavor and would order again for quick bite if I came back Tuna Tartare - 5 / 10 Happy they chose to pair with wonton chips, but the sauce and the flavor altogether just missed the mark. Shocked to say that Lime & Salt & even Yard House blew this app out of the water. Manila Clam Chowder: 7 / 10 Chunky, creamy, but too Salty. They added bacon not chopped up in the chowder, but instead thrown on top as if it fell onto the bowl on it's way out of the kitchen prep (see pic) Calamari: 7 / 10 Basic breading and could have been better if sauces paired were complimentary but they were not. They offered 1 sauce that just tasted like a watered down Zested shallot, the other I think is like a thinned out marinara. Both did not enhance the app, but actually made it less appetizing. Fresh Pappardelle w/Chicken: 5 / 10 Great portion of protein to pasta, but heavily lacked flavor. I've had pasta with no sauce, just simple olive oil, but this dish...not like those. Unfortunately, tasted bland. Wild Alaskan Salmon: 8 / 10 It was crispy but not sure if that was what they were going for or it was a tad overcooked. But the flavor was great, quinoa pairing worked. I get the need for colorful presentation too, but they could have gone w/less tomatoes and instead more of the mangos & perhaps added cucumbers for a more fresh & colorful approach Chilean Seabass: 7 / 10 Description was "Pepper crusted..saffron Asparagus Risotto...Orange Glaze w\Vanilla Bean cream sauce" First bite was like a basic white fish. 4 bites later, then I finally tasted a hint of pepper crust (not all over as I hoped because it enhanced the flavor so much!) The Asparagus risotto base was a huge disappointment--I would have enjoyed this fish more with roasted veggies, because I was hyped up to experience an 'Orange glaze w/Vanilla bean cream sauce " in the risotto, but instead tasted like bland porridge with 2 bits of asparagus chunks that I think they could have left out. It was a shame, I also did not taste any orange glaze anything. *For such a high price point on these main entrees and salads-- I had expectations for their dishes to be refined & elevated. This would work best at a $22/plate experience not the $50+ range they are charging.

I love all the eateries in Claremont but Bardot is one of the favorites. Super cute patio dining area for dining al fresco or a more intimate dining indoors. Our brunch was data stick and Emilio our server was friendly, attentive and gave great service! Perfect spot for a girls day, date night or group gathering. Must try the Oscar Benedict! Superb!

My friend said this was the best meal he's had in a long time! The lamb was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned! My friend said the min jelly was good, and the mashed potatoes were buttery! I had the portobello sandwich, which was so fresh! The burrata was amazing! We both thought the truffle fries were too subtle and the garlic aioli didn't have much flavor, but at least they were crispy and not oily! Service was wonderful :) We had chosen to have the first-available table and were informed we would be seated at a high-top, but they actually upgraded us to a nice outdoor table with a great view! Our waiter was helpful with recommendations for how to cook the lamb, and said he would choose the slightly more rare option so they could cook it more according to our tastes (it ended up being perfect!) A server came to refill our waters right before we needed! Wait time on a Saturday night at 6pm was about 30-45 minutes, which wasn't too bad!

Without fail Bardot restaurant located at 206 W. Bonita Ave has impressed us again. Today they were a little busy, but nevertheless, the staff and the major D are completely accommodating when we arrive. We only get smiling faces. They're so wonderful to us. We got the table that we wanted and the food is absolutely exquisite. The salmon, the Seabass, the filet mignon in the appetizers are amazing. This is our staple go to place Only. We want a really home-cooked style meal on another level. This is a five star restaurant and the chef takes his culinary expertise very serious. Not just the food, but what keeps us coming back is the amazing team at this restaurant they are personable and they are wonderful and they have great personalities. This is a breath of fresh air. If you're going on a first date or if you have family in town or if you just wanna sit down by yourself and have a really great lunch brunch or dinner put bar Bardot restaurant at 206 W. Bonita Ave. in Claremont on your radar! Bardot get my five star Yelp review and my personal recommendation! Bon appétit!

I ate at Bardot years ago, and had a good experience. We returned to have a little afternoon bite to eat and a round of drinks. Bardot is located in downtown Claremont, right on a corner. We were able to easily find a parking spot on the street right around the corner. Parking can be more of a challenge during prime time. They have a real nice covered outdoor patio, two different dining areas inside, and seating at the bar. We were greeted by a very friendly host who seated us immediately in a booth per our request. It was a nice surprise to see that they still have a special Christmas cocktail menu in effect. I had the Rhub The Right Way (Vanilla Cream Cheese Vodka, Rhubarb Liqueur, Cinnamon Vanilla Syrup, Strawberry, Lemon, Egg White, Graham Cracker Rim, $18). The vanilla and strawberry flavors stood out to me with some creaminess. It has a nice level of sweetness ,and it definitely drinks more like a regular cocktail, than a desert drink. The bartender stopped by to see if I liked it since it was his creation. I definitely enjoyed it. She had the Under The Mistletoe (St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur, Vanilla, Cinnamon Syrup, Champagne, Soda Water, Glitter, Cranberries, Rosemary, $18). This was light and refreshing, and not overly bubbly. The champagne, pear, and cinnamon flavors were noticeable. The Goat Cheese Lollipops ($14) definitely caught our eye on the appetizer menu. The plate comes with four panko crusted lollypops on a bed of honey and roasted almonds. The goat cheese has a nice tang, and the sweetness of the honey pairs with it perfectly. The panko crust and almonds give a nice little crunch. We also had the Crab Cakes ($24). The crab cakes were good. We added a little salt on top which made them a little better. They come with a pretty good sized serving of coleslaw on top for some freshness. Our server, Roger, was very friendly and provided good service. We told him we were just hanging out enjoying the afternoon and in no rush, and he checked in on us just the right amount.

Been coming here for years... These days im a sit at the bar and get a Paloma made. Bartenders are always very cool and full of conversation if it permits. They read the room well. Scallops were cooked perfectly, flavors are almost required and fresh. Usually other places will take a rich tasting approach and I always love how they have balanced this with their particular style of scallops. All in all it's still a great go to place in the area.

This is one of my bestie's favorite, local spots, and is quickly becoming one of mine. Service is always excellent and the food and drinks always hit. We usually enjoy a few of the appetizers and maybe an entree between the two of us... and of course a few cocktails or mimosas. Those fried goat cheese lollipops with the slivered almonds and honey is something I think about fondly. Thank you to the management team, and most importantly the chefs, line cooks, servers and bartenders for maintaining such a wonderful restaurant!!

Came here originally for brunch but didn't realize that was only for Saturdays and Sundays. Wish they had a mini special brunch menu for the weekdays as well! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. You will need to make reservations for their booths however since those seem to all be claimed in advance. I ended up trying one of the drinks on the holiday menu instead and honestly I should have ordered a second one! I tried the "Rhub The Right Way" drink (alcoholic) which is a vanilla cream cheese vodka, rhubarb liqueur, cinnamon vanilla syrup, strawberry, lemon, egg white, graham cracker rim! I look forward to going back and trying more off this limited menu.

They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought. I thought the menu looked delicious and there were several things I would like to come back and try and I would go back again.

It was so underwhelming. 2 eggs cooked differently, one over hard, one over easy, 5-6 potato pieces and the steak was thin, overcooked, and appeared to be a cheap cut of meat. A New York cut would have been great. Wife mentioned norms has better steak and eggs. Called and spoke with a manager Stephanie, not looking for anything, but to express disappointment in the meal for the high price. She offered to mail a gift card for us and invited us back. Took all of my information and never received it. Thanks anyway. Don't think we'll be back.
