On any Sunday morning, the farmer's market can be found along the street next to Bardot. This is a college town atmosphere and has a great food selection both indoors and outdoors. The food was prepared fresh and hot and service was excellent. I had the kitchen sink burrito, which was everything you could find in a breakfast burrito. The wife had a beautifully made waffle with a brulee sauce and fruit decorating the quasi breakfast/dessert item. When in Claremont, I'll certainly come back! read more

Came here for weekend drinks, sat at the bar, it was a group of 4. We were attended in a decent time. I must say, my best friend and I were looking for "thee Espresso Martini." And we found it! Used to come here a lot for beer around a decade ago back when I lived in the area. So glad to see it still around. Recently came back right before a concert to actually try some of the food this time. Cocktails are unique, thought the Banh Mi one was absolutely genius. Ordered the spicy ahi tuna tartare, the crab cakes, and goat cheese lollipops as appetizers. This would have been sufficient for two people, but we also ordered the Steak Salad and Vegan Pasta. Goat lollipops were very interesting; almost like a dessert. The flavor was a little too strong to eat past a second one, though. Service was a little slower than before, but it seemed to have gotten a lot busier even on weekdays (great for them!). We were outdoors. Will definitely keep coming back whenever we're in Claremont. read more

I use to frequent Bardot back in the day but had not been back in a while. Last week was my mother's birthday and we decided to go here for brunch since it has a nice outside patio. Not sure what has changed but we did wait about 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink orders. When we finally placed our orders it took quite sometime for our food to arrive and when it did it was not our order. No problem they took the food back and we waited for the correct order to come. The food itself is delicious no complaints on the food. I proceeded to order a ginger ale when the food arrived and did not receive it until we were ready to get the check. As I mentioned before, I use to frequent this place because the service was spot on and the food and location is great but it seems the service has took a bit of a dive. I came here for drinks only because it was around the area. I got a gin and tonic and it was great and very spacious inside. It's in Claremont where a lot of restaurants and stores are so parking may be a bit difficult. We had a bit of trouble looking for parking. We got seated pretty quickly which was nice. They had a live band playing while we were enjoying the night. It was a wonderful night and such a great place for drinks and food. read more

We have gone here a few times now & enjoyed it every time! The 2-3 times now, the staff already recognizes us and have sat my bf when I was shopping knowing he was with me!! We've enjoyed their brunch menu, dinner menu & regular changing seasonal specials. The staff is SO attentive!! We have sat and they've gotten us & the two dogs all individual waters, constant refills & plate changes, etc. Brunch- the ceviche was incredible, grilled pears came with a fully dressed plate of arugula and prosciutto (was more than we expected). We've enjoyed the eggs Benedict as well! Dinner- EVERYTHING was great but we definitely were blown away with the goat cheese lollipops as such an unexpected flavor. Sometimes you will be added to a text waitlist & every single time they have beat the time they're quoted me & it is absolutely worth the wait. Good drink and food we delish! Badddddd We didn't see a server for 20 minutes but once we did alll was good however we were asked to leave ??? There was no where in my reservation about a time limit. Soo why were asked to leave I asked if our party was being to loud they said noo noo we have a reservation for this spot. There was no offer to move us to another spot in the restaurant or bar. Sooo I was confused why we were forced to leave. We were drinking and eating consistently so we were not just taking up space and not actively adding to our bill that mindddd you was 600$ for 4 people!!!!!! Before tip. Well drinks are real good they have a mezcal drink called the El Jefe Smokey and good we had a couple . Hanna was on point with service and very attentive with everything we asked for . Always a treat to go here. Vibes are great however it does get loud for those triggered easily. Our waitress was a little rude and snobby anytime I would ask for more water or bread or anything. The goat balls and the salmon appetizers were delightful! The crab cakes not so much they made me a little nauseous with a weird aftertaste. Honestly, that is the best waffle I have ever had in my life. I love whoever created a crème brûlée waffle because it is something I never knew I needed. The eggs benedict were also top notch. I went for Sunday brunch and Stacy was absolutely incredible, she really took care of us. The entire staff was extremely attentive and went above and beyond. The second my water or my soda was empty, there was always someone already offering me a refill. It really is small things like that that go such a long way. Cute place- but the bartender was clearly sick so I was scared to order anything from the coughing ( with no hand or elbow covering his mouth when he coughed everywhere onto glasses and his bar equipment). It was Pretty repulsive-- especially bc he would pass by us and cough. Unfortunately for us, We were seated in a booth by the bar... ewww The music was overly loud and had to short of yelling across the table to my friends which wasn't very relaxing. We stopped in on a late Saturday afternoon for some appetizers and drinks. There were two bartenders, one was not so nice, but the other was super attentive and he ended up being our bartender. I think we had just missed the brunch rush and the early evening dinner rush. There was hardly anyone at the bar. We ordered the ceviche and it was pretty tasty, lots of lime and juice. Perfect for a hot summer day. We'd definitely come back to enjoy some dinner eventually. The restaurant is located in the cute little downtown of Claremont. Saturday night, no reservations, party of 5, first available. Fortunately, the rest of our group was running late so by the time they arrived, we got seated shortly (ok, my group waited about 30 - 40 min. Still not bad for a Saturday night). Located in the village, walking distance from Pomona College, the area has a nice college town vibe. The restaurant has an outdoor dining area, bar, and indoor dining area. We got seated inside in this cool looking booth -- white, comfortable booth with the back that goes all the way to the ceiling. For appetizers we had: Baja Fish Tacos, $13 - 2 tacos, beer battered red snapper, corn tortilla, lime, cilantro creme fraiche - didn't get to taste this, but was told they were good Truffle & Parmesan Fries, $12 - Served with ketchup and truffle aioli - again I didn't get to taste this (I was saving my appetite for the main course), but it was devoured by the group! For main course we had: Chicken Chipotle, $21 - Grilled free-range chicken breast, marinated in lime juice and garlic, red onion, tomato, cilantro, little gem lettuce, chipotle aioli, on a crispy baguette. My friend who had this said it was good and the chicken had a good kick to it. Cobb Salad, $21 - Iceberg lettuce, romaine, watercress, grilled chicken breast, chopped bacon, tomatoes, bleu cheese crumbles, avocado, chives, hard-boiled egg, choice of dressing. I'm guessing from the clean plate, my friend liked this. Kurobuta Pork Chop, $48 - Bourbon glaze, Brussels sprouts, carrot, fingerling potatoes, grilled green onion. I had a taste of the pork and it was juicy and flavorful! Made a mental note to order this next time. My friend highly recommends! Seafood Couscous, $48 - Sea Bass, shrimp, scallops, mussels, sautéed in Harissa, vegetable stock, chick peas, white raisins. If you like seafood, you'd like this dish. Plenty of seafood (even if 3 of the mussels didn't open). This dish was flavorful! I like the sweetness from the white raisins. It was a nice contrast to the heat from the Harissa. Extra Harissa was served on the side in case you'd like to add extra heat (and I did!). The dessert sounded good, but we were all stuffed! Definitely next time! Our server was great and overall service was also great! I only took a picture of my food, everyone dove in as soon as our food came to our table. read more

The tomato soup and hamburger were fine, the fries were mediocre, but the worst part was the salad. Sorry but how do you mess up a salad? The chicken was so hard and dry. And the bottom of the salad, the lettuce was drowning in dressing! The server never came back to check on us, if anything we had to look for him when we wanted our check. Parking can be difficult on evenings and weekends. Luckily there are a few small parking lots and street parking. Make a reservation to avoid the wait. Brunch wait times can we between 30 minutes to one hour. Very cute ambiance. It can get loud on the patio, but inside they have tall booths which cut down on the noise. Breakfast burrito was just ok. There wasn't much flavor so I used all of the salsa provided. The fingerling potatoes were the same. I would recommend trying something else. Servers aren't too attentive. I had to ask a couple of times for ketchup. It took a long time to get a refill on my drink. Not sure if they were understaffed, but it was very slow. read more

I recommend skipping Bardot. We arrived at 4 PM on a Thursday. The place was more than half empty. Seven of our friends had been seated a few minutes before us. There was room next to them for at least six. The hostess told us we could not sit there because they needed ten minutes to catch up. Why? They were not busy. After ten minutes they took us to a table far away from where we asked to sit. Bottom line, they were absolutely not accommodating. The manager, Hector, was extremely rude. The hostess continued being rude. Six of our party of thirteen at separated tables left completely insulted. One star rating because you can't give zero. Bardot used to be a pleasure. We came in on a cool and cloudy midweek afternoon, invited by the spacious heated patio with fires at each corner. Cozy and comfortable, and we were seated and served quickly. High quality iced tea, and the barrel-aged Manhattan wasn't half bad (though I didn't get much in the way of vermouth, bitters, or barrel in the flavor). We ordered the goat cheese lollipops, French onion soup, a gorgonzola burger with fries, pappardelle pasta, and a tomato burrata salad. Although nothing was bad, the dishes were all very lightly seasoned--verging on bland. Even the gorgonzola on the burger was oddly difficult to discern. The highlight was the goat cheese lollipops, which were perfectly warm and crunchy on the outside. Would come again if someone we were with wanted to go, but might explore other options next time we are in town. read more
