Came in for a lip wax and rejuvenating facial. Simply amazing. The wax wasn't as painful as usual - she did a great job of calming immediately after the wax pull. The facial was meticulous, calming and my face looks so healthy. The only suggestion is the room temp. Was a bit cold. I will definitely make another appointment when back in town. read more

I stumbled upon Bare Necessity Wax & Spa by chance, but am so thankful that I did. Amy was fantastic - she made me feel very comfortable from the minute I walked in the door. She uses a strip-free wax (where i goes on warm, hardens a bit, then gets pulled off without the use of fabric strips). She did a fabulous job with the shaping and my eyebrows looked great. Decided to try this place out, I was happy with my regular waxer, however I didn't like the limited appointments that were available. 1st visit, I met Elaine. She was so pretty and made me feel so comfortable as she inspected my eyebrow shape, arch, etc. She even noticed they were a bit off and was able to make adjustments!!! 2nd visit- I met with Aubrey, she was just gorgeous inside and out!!! I applaud her for such a great job especially because I have super thick, hairy eyebrows and not everyone knows how to handle them. I came in on a whim this morning for my first Brazilian. After having done endless research and prepping in every way possible, I finally decided to chalk up the courage to get it done! Elaine did an incredible job. She was extremely fast and understanding and made me feel beyond comfortable in the most awkward situation. I was also impressed by the level of pain. Having only waxed my underarms previously, I was expecting a new world of pain but Elaine's quick and careful work made for a completely bearable 10 minutes. I booked my next appointment with her. She was very nice, made small talk to keep my mind off of the process, and let her nine years of experience shine! The location itself is very clean, organized, and well decorated. The environment is very friendly and soothing, with soft music in the background, dimmed lighting, and a calming atmosphere. Prices are unexpectedly lower than many of the other spas I researched. I am extremely picky when it comes to waxing so I was hesitant to have someone new wax my brows - but I am VERY glad that I did because Amy is the absolute best Wax Specialist out there and I have not had anyone else wax me since I met her in 2010. Love this place! I have seen a few of the ladies here and every experience has been comfortable and at ease. I mostly go to Elaine for waxing who is great at making conversation to get your mind off the unpleasantness of bikini waxing. Audrey is my favorite for facials. This place is definitely more geared towards waxing, I just wish they offered more spa services! I have yet to try their chemical peels which they just added so hopefully they will start doing more.
