My BF and I first tried Bareburger in Mount Kisco, not too long after they originally opened in the area. We loved it, so next time we ordered delivery, it was OK not as good as being there. But, we tried it again yesterday, and it was not nearly as good as the first visit! We were so bummed! The menu had even changed, and the service was not great. This burger was mediocre at best. Not only does it not come with fries but the burgers are never cooked the way you ordered it. I once ordered it for delivery which is a nice feature but the only good thing about that experience was the delivery man, Joe. He made my experience pleasant. Great location of this chain. I have been to others and this one is my favorite to date. I had a beef burger with egg on a brioche bun and it was delicious. The service was excellent. It was very busy and I thought they handled the rush extremely well. Since the sweet potato fries were a bit off, I would have probably given them a 4 star rating (actually 4.5 if it were possible) but having read a couple of the other reviews I thought were extremely unfair I decided to balance it with a 5 star rating. The food here is tasty! This isn't my first time at Bareburger, I've been to many locations. My main complaint with this location is the manager. I had an unpleasant experience during my last visit. I was rushed and pressured to place my order. It cost a pretty penny to eat here, so PLEASE DON'T RUSH YOUR CUSTOMERS. Perhaps a change in management would be a good start. I can't say enough good things. Delicious vegan options. Plural. Not just the usual token lame vegetarian option. Lots of choices! Obviously fresh food. My patty was delicious and house-made. Got it with guac and a slice of Field Roast Chao vegan "cheese." We ate al fresco! Fast service, even though it was extremely busy. Something for carnivores and health-minded / non-health-minded vegetarians alike. Kids also clearly love this place (especially the desserts). I love the healthy vibe and organic mission. We've been waiting to try this location for a while and finally got the chance today. We were there ~6pm and there was hardly anyone there. Although not surprising with the cold spell we've been having. It's a small place but cozy. The booths are pretty tight though. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. Giving it 2*s though because both my elk burger and my husband's burger came out raw when we asked them cooked medium. Even though we like our steak that way, we like a burger a little pink but not rare. My husband didn't have the heart to send his back again but mine was so bloody I had too. So they made me a new one instead of putting the same one back on the grill as they had done the first time. But this one came out rare too. My husband and son had finished their dinners by this time and I was starving, so I politely said it was fine and ate it. So disappointed though. It's a burger place. The idea of the franchise is great.. organic, farm raised and local produce ... HOWEVER... This location has it ALL wrong: 1. Staff is terrible - expect to ask for something you need or want from several different people, several different times- drinks, to-go boxes, missing items that you ordered that never arrived 2. Wait time for food was over an hour! Ummmm, aren't burgers quick? Untrained cooks.. staff?! 3. Food arrived at table lukewarm and fries were soggy.. either they were sitting for awhile or came off someone else's plate... gross 4. Food arrived at different times... 30 minutes apart...unacceptable 5. Portions are VERY small for the price ( ...but this may be a franchise formula? ) slider sized burger on an oversized bun with a side (sides sold separately) $17-$20 6. They tried to do an open kitchen concept, but you could see the chefs wiping off sweat from their heads.. likely into the food.. gross (again). 7. Lastly, you have to sign the check from the same device the waitress is taking orders on :1- that slows down service, because she is left without a device to take orders when someone is paying and 2- talk about germ invested. How many people are touching that device before you? Overall, a fail for a small place with potential, as they should be pushing satisfied customers in and out with the right formula. Horrible service, I understand it is new but there are just some common courtesies of working in a restaurant. Arrived and sat at the bar no one said anything for 10 minutes, finally someone came over and took a drink order. I ordered a plain burger nothing special since the place is new. 45 minutes later everyone else has food, server says it will be out at some point? I said I have to get going can you please make it to go. There clearly wasn't any communication the hostess brought my burger on a cold platter and I said I need this to go please to which she handed me a box without a bag or napkins or anything a normal human being would need to eat. read more

I have ordered twice from here. The first time was no problem. The food is great. The second time I decided to order a salad along with my burger purchase. I started to eat my salad with no problem until I bit into something hard. When I removed it from my mouth and looked at it I saw it was a rusted packaging staple. Not a regular paper staple. It doesn't matter what kind of staple it was but the fact there was a thick metal staple in my salad is very disappointing when there food is good. This place is more like a micro pub with a full bar..with that being said my kids love it. They get the chicken bites in buffalo sauce along with burgers with all sorts of toppings. Wowwww I just love Bareburger Mt Kisco! Super friendly, awesome staff! The food was AMAZING! I have never had such an awesome burger before! My husband got the California BLT, he loved the grilled lemon chicken and the toast it came on. My son got the grilled cheese, and he ate it all up!!! Can't get him to do that at home!! LOL ! We already loved Bareburger from our visits to their restaurant in Brooklyn. We were just hoping it would be the same and I have to say it kinda was. Friendly service, and good hamburgers. I like that the hamburger isn't so big I'm stuffed. It's just the right size. I don't think it's necessary to "butter" the roll upon serving. I found it messy, really greasy, to eat. I ordered the same chocolate milk shake as I do in BK and received a tall glass full. In Brooklyn I get the whole glass AND the silver container it was made in so I really get my money's worth. Mt. Kisco should think of doing that. Seemed a bit cheap on their part. Be prepared for it to be a bit pricey for a hamburger. $40ish seems a bit much for two and only hamburgers and a drink. Funny I didn't feel that in BK but it seems overpriced for the burbs. I'd know we'd go back because of their options of vegan selections. read more

I have visited twice in about a week. First time was on a very busy mid week night. Sat at the bar waited a good 10 minutes for them to take my drink order, I had asked for a Tangueray n Tonic. To which I was told by the bartender that they do not carry because you know they are an organic type of restaurant she offered me a sample of their organic gin. Ok, but while she is stating this, I am looking up at a shelf full of Tito's, Bulleit etc? I ordered a Bison burger with Amish Blue on Brioche, blew me away! Yes service was slow a party of four had left after waiting over 20 minutes to simply get their drink order in. The manager if that who he was did nothing, other than go behind the bar and pour himself another beer. My second visit on a much slower night. This time I did get a Tanqueray n Tonic, ordered the Buckaroo, it was delicious, however, the burger itself was raw! I mean not rare but raw. Manager came up to apologize, but then tried to explain to me that organic grass fed beef even cooked will look undercooked..... Sorry, not my first go around with organic beef, this was not cooked. I was discounted 50%. I will go back but it is going to be sometime in the distant future, once they have staff and management that cares for their product and customer. read more

Loved both of my experiences at Bareburger!! The food tastes very fresh. Be prepared to spend more $$ than your average good burger joint (fries do not come with your burger), but know that your ingredients are fresh, organic, and local. Beware that as this is a new place and gets extremely crowded for dinner and be prepared to wait. They're a little understaffed or not well trained to deal with such a large crowd- when I came for dinner my burger came to the table really cold the first time. They made a new burger which took a long time but they were very nice about it. When I was there for lunch, it was pretty empty and the food was hot and delicious. I highly recommend the Mexican hot chocolate shake which was not too sweet and is making my mouth water from 300 miles away. All the wait staff are very nice and accommodating. If you are gluten free, know that the bun is very large compared to the burger and dry and crumbly. I would go for no bun or the collard wrap. Enjoy your burger and shake!! read more

MY FAVORITE BURGER JOINT!! Ok, to be fair I'm not a burger-aficionado and can't say I crave the American classic outside of backyard BBQs. BUT I've changed my tune for this gift from God establishment! I should also share that I don't routinely run after trendy "organic" bleebiddy blah but if you can feed your face with deliciousness and keep it on the healthy side, why the hell not?! I have tried a different burger each of my many visits and LOVED EVERY BITE without fail. The Impossible Burger is...just that! If you're curious how an all veggie burger can taste and bleed like real meat, the Silicone Valley backstory is just a google search away (and it's fascinating to boot). I also recommend the matador or bison burgers, but please do yourself a favor and get creative with the fixings and try their amazing range of sauces and spreads. Oh, and while I frequent the Rye location (closer to the homestead), I specifically chose to review the Kisco restaurant bc I've received amazing service each and every time I've made the longer trek--Nickolas rocks! read more
