They were super! They did a Great job grooming my dog Rex. I would highly recommend. They even trimmed my other dogs nails as a last minute request. My dog Mac usually hates getting his nails trimmed but he did such a good job. My dogs were secure and remained calm the whole time, which put me at ease. WE MISS THE GROOMINGDALES STAFF Recently under new management and brand - Bark Station. I got something to bark about - absolutely horrible new management and staff. My dog has been going to what used to be Groomingdales for about 10 years, until now. It was never communicated to me while booking the appointment on the phone that they only take dogs up to 15 years old. My dog is now living it to the fullest at 17 years. When we asked where we could take our dog for senior dog grooming, the lady simply replied with, "Sorry, I do not know of any place." We woke up early for the 9am drop off and drove all the way from San Jose to Burlingame only to be turned away due to their lack of communication. I also wasted an anti-stress med on my baby girl for nothing since they wouldnt take her in. Absolutely disappointed but glad to know how this new management acts so that we are to never give them our business. read more

Second time they cut my pup's nails too short. I got home and realized it's still bleeding. He didn't say a thing at pick up. This happened once before where I wasn't told and I asked to tell me if this ever happened again. Never returning. At least let owners know so they can monitor for infection. So negligent. read more

I called Friday afternoon to set an appointment for Saturday morning, it was nice that they were able to fit me in during the time I was requesting. When I arrived and gave the leash to the male groomer, he started reeling my dog in, went to pick him up, and didn't have a good handle on dog, which caused my dog to loose his footing and fall into the corner of their desk. When I picked up my dog, I noticed that the grooming seemed to be done In a hurry. There's several bald spots from the razor getting too close to my dog. There's a huge bald spot on his neck and back left leg. I asked for eyebrows, similar to schnauzers, because my dog is part schnauzer, and he was given a unibrow. The groomer did a terrible job under his chin, which is all uneven. While this place was nice on the phone and easy to get ab appointment with, I won't be coming back unfortunately. read more

I've taken my dog a few times and his cuts were great but ever since they hired new personal and changed ownership his cuts have not been the best!!! Once had a random shave up to the skin and cut off his brows and whiskers on half of his face. I gave it another try and took him back. I asked for only a trim and picked him up shaved to the skin with the marks of the cutters that were used all over his body and his face was done so bad it looks crooked read more

Have only gone here once to take my frenchie to get his nails clipped since we prefer having a professional do it vs messing up. Luckily they were able to take him as a walk in and we were done under 10 mins which was great. I would have never guessed this groomers existed since it's right next to all the car shops so parking can be tricky. Another plus was all the doggies in there getting groomed looked happy and surprisingly none were crying or helping in fear like I've heard/seen at other groomers. Must be a good sign! read more

I was a regular customer with my 2 dogs and highly recommended this place to many . Every time I go in the price is $20+ dollars higher for each dog. I called to make appt. and asked what will the price be. He said, the same as last time. I asked what was that? And he couldn't tell me. I told him what I paid ($120 per dog, small doodle) and that every time I come in the price changes. I said will that still be the price? His comment "maybe you should find another place". First time I took my pup in for a trim and bath she came back looking about 70% like the picture I showed them but the worst part was the lingering stench from whatever they washed her with. Initially I decided not to go back here but given the fact that almost every other place was booked months out I decided to give them another try. This second time my dog smelled great! Unfortunately it looked like a 3 year old with clippers cut her hair :'( The cut was uneven almost everywhere and waaaaaaay too short on almost the whole body. I'm talking lumps of uncut hair behind the ears, very uneven hind legs and for some reason they decided not to even touch the tail. I was very specific and clear on what I wanted but I got 0% of it this time. Never again!!! Just cut it yourself and save the money read more

If you have indoor loving dogs, then you know how hard it is to find a great place to get their nails trimmed. I wish I could do it myself, but both of my dogs think I am trying to remove their entire foot! So it is better left to a professional. I was surprised when I found Bark Station. It is near my home and was able to walk. I decided to call in and make sure I didn't need an appointment and was told on the phone to just bring the dogs by during their hours and they'd take care of them. So I walk the dogs to the shop later that day. When we entered we received prompt and friendly service. They came out to gather the dogs and you could see how much they care for animals. My dogs usually get nervous with strangers, especially ones that come from a pet store of sorts. But this time, they were very happy. It took only about 5 minutes to have both pets nails trimmed. And it cost only $10 each! Compared to some of the other places I have gone, this is a great deal, and the quality is at the top! read more

They do a REALLY great job here. We have been bringing our elderly dog here for years and it's the only place she doesn't get stressed out. You can tell how great they treat the dogs here- when you walk in, all the dogs are lined up wagging their tails as they wait for their grooming turn. We took our Schnauzer to Bark Station because I had read the good reviews on Yelp. After one visit, I definitely will NOT be bringing her back here. My wife showed the guy how short to cut her hair. When we picked her up about 1.5 hours later, she was almost completely shaved down. Not only that, her right whisker was completely shaved off while the left one was still there! She looks ridiculous and uneven! They also missed a lot of spots (the aforementioned whiskers, below her mouth, her tail, the top of her head, her hind legs) and it showed that they didn't pay attention to detail. On top of that, it was $58, and they only accept cash or check! All of the dogs were barking when I dropped her off and when I returned, which also made me uneasy. In summary: Pros: - Fast, they were done in ~ 1.5 hours - Staff was nice Cons: - Lack of attention to detail - left certain areas longer than others, shaved off a whisker! - Didn't listen to our specific instructions for cutting her - Expensive - Don't accept credit cards - Dogs were barking when in their crates I'm definitely not coming back. read more
