Unfortunately, the filet mignon was given over done/dry and the Mac N cheese atrocious. I rather eat boxed Kraft Mac N cheese than what they served- it was not good at all. The best part of our experience at Barn 34 was our server. Megan was personable, funny, and energetic. She was definitely the best server I've ever had! The restaurant is rustic, cute, and comfortable. As for the food, I got the Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer and the Peach Pancakes with a side of bacon for my main course. The fried tomatoes were tasty, and the jam on top was the perfect sweet touch with the savory flavor of the cheese. One of the best crab cakes I've ever had! Crab cake is always my "go to" meal so I've had many from many different places. Barn 34's crab cake was in my top 3 best places to get one! The "specials" coconut shrimp appetizer was equally as amazing. The service was excellent. Very friendly, and treated my young daughter as though she was their best friend! After reading great reviews on here, we decided to give Barn 34 a try. Unfortunately we were highly disappointed. When we were first seated it was over near the bar and the benches were dirty. That was fine with me but I wish that would have been posted somewhere seeing as how heavily the mimosas were advertised. The table beside us also tried to order and were disappointed. Our waitress left a lot to be desired. She seemed to be more concerned with getting the bar ready than checking on her tables. She checked on us as soon as we got our food but didn't again until we were very obviously ready for the check (plates pushed aside, silverware stacked on top). The food itself came out fast, but that was the only thing good about it. My eggs were cold, my bacon was overcooked and the potatoes were hard to the point of still tasting like raw potatoes. The fried green tomatoes were very bland. It tasted like they hadn't even been seasoned at all. The boom boom sauce with them provided flavor but was way too spicy for a breakfast dish IMO. My fiancé was left disappointed by the captain crunch french toast. There were too many sweet components and everything just blended together into a too sweet mess. Our new favorite breakfast place in OC. Server had pretty short hair (above the ears), several cool tattoos and awesome energy! (Sorry, I can't remember her name to give her credit, but she is awesome at her job!) We were upstairs towards the back wall/corner on 5/7 around 9am. The food was great!! Our group had the French toast, waffle, eggs, and pancakes. We always compare to this amazing breakfast place back home and everything, but the eggs were on par. This was the best breakfast spot in Ocean City! It has that Cheers "you wanna go where everyone knows your name" feel and the food is pretty tasty! I'm game for anything you can ass crab meat to and they made the best crab scrambled eggs. These eggs surpassed my expectations and I'm glad I ordered them. They aren't on the menu, but they were a special that day so about $18 you know anything you add crab to will cost you a little more. I also tried the French toast which didn't have much flavor. I should have been able to eat it without any syrup, but I found myself looking for more flavors. They were also a little on the dry side and not well put together. They would have actually gotten 3 stars except for this spectacular waitress who I believe is named Natalie. She was mid aged with freckles and always laughing out loud. A bit pricey but the quality of food makes up for it. We sat at the bar because there was a long wait for tables. We ordered the hangover, captain crunch French toast, and home fries. All were amazing besides homefries. The fries were a little wet and raw, no crisp. But the other dishes made up for it big time. Two of us over ordered.... we ordered 3 dishes. Acai bowl= it was my first time ever trying and I actually really liked it a lot. Very refreshing and portion was huge. It was like an never ending bowl. Lol Egg scramble with crab meat and cheese grits= didn't really taste the crab much and it was a bit cold in there so the cheese on top of the grits were kind of solid after a very short period of time.
