On the corner of Philadelphia and Wicomico I found , " The Kitchen" , they serve breakfast all day from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. , in a cozy diner type atmosphere. The restaurant is so clean. The best breakfast I have had in a long time so simple yet so good. I ordered the 2 eggs with hash browns , 2 toast (rye) , and 1 meat ( sausage link). The over easy eggs were cooked perfect and the portions were so big. The most friendliest hospitable chef and waitress I have ever met. Family style ! The chef came out to ask how we liked the breakfast and the waitress thanked us for coming in. The homestyle potatoes are seasoned perfectly and cooked to be crispy. My dining companion had meat, egg, and cheese on rye and we couldn't believe how much bacon was given! Highly recommend if you're looking for a good breakfast... I could eat here everyday. Looked around for a place to have a late breakfast or early lunch that was outside of the boardwalk given the high prices the vendors inside the festival and boardwalk was doing so we found this place a block down from the Main Street away from the boardwalk I guess they were or are only open first half of day because we must have been the last customers because they closed after we left lol but either way Friendly folks! Food was good too but my juice had been forgotten unfortunately but that was ok wasn't major issue Went to use bathroom and it was pretty dirty which kinda made me go oh no.. hence why I'm like giving it a 5 given that it should be kept up more given the place isn't open all day and was not cleaned but other than that we had a nice meal read more

The food is great, especially the chipped beef. If French toast is your thing then they may have the best that you will ever eat as we would go there just for the French toast. The service is always on point and one of the waitresses has been there over 8 years which is always a plus. I have been going there for over 20 years. This place is one of my O.C favorites, to go along with Thrashers French Fries, Secrets Jerk chicken, Jessica's fudge (which also has Smith Island 7 layers cakes) , crab cakes from the Crab Cake Factory, pizza from Piezanos and crabs from On the Bay Seafood. I'll keep it brief and to the point: This restaurant is our go-to for breakfast every year. The new logo is clean and simple, yet inviting and striking. Staff is super friendly as always. Soooo its IN SEASON and Dee is at our condo. A RARITY!!! So I decided to stop in And see how my favorite off-season breakfast place is. It's 10 AM on Friday and this is the last day for the weekly tourists. The place is full but not overly crowded. Everybody in here has a smile on their face because I think they all secretly think they discovered a hidden gem and they have. Family-owned Makes this place run smoothly. The wait staff all have blue T-shirts on that say "kitchen crew ". that sums it up. I'm enjoying this well oiled machine. The always decent coffee is waking me up. If you are solo diner here be prepared to sit in the alcove area of the main dining room. I understand why they do that to maximize space. But, Be prepared to have 40 to 50 people walk by you as they are seated or the servers who are walking by delivering food and cleaning tables. I even got elbowed once while I was drinking my coffee by someone in a party of about 10 excited to be getting seated. (see pic). I had the most expensive thing on the menu - the executive breakfast which is basically a steak and egg plate. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. The eggs were good and so are the potatoes. I'd highly recommend this dish and for being in a resort it was reasonably priced. I've never had bad service here.My server today was Rabbia who was absolutely delightful and a very good server. My wife and I have been going to Ocean City for years and have never had a bad experience until we decided eat at The Kitchen. We were sat by a table where the ceiling was leaking. I understand things happen but they decided to place newspaper instead of placing a bucket to collect the water. Reminded me of a scene in "Big Daddy". Zero stars for the bathrooms. They were atrocious. There was no toilet seat in men's room. There was obvious evidence of backed up toilets in both restrooms since it wasn't cleaned up. I was praying my potty trained toddler didn't need to use the bathroom. The food gets 1 stars and that's because my niece ordered an egg & cheese sandwich and she liked it. Only 1 out of 7 people ate their food. My wife was giving our 10 month old some pancakes and was wondering why the baby was spitting it out. It was because they had a chemical taste or almost rancid taste to them. I didn't want to make a scene because I was with my in-laws. My in-laws tried to be courteous and eat their food but my wife could tell they were not enjoying it. I give 5 stars for the free parking and our waitress. We stopped in here on a Sunday morning, off season in October, and were seated right away. Definitely a place to visit while in Ocean City, MD. Second trip to Ocean City in a couple years and had to make a return visit to the Kitchen. Clean and well maintain interior, great customer service and fantastic food. Wife had the seafood omelet, she said was delicious. You could see the large pieces of seafood throughout the omelet, but it was not overpowered by old bay. I had the pancake combo which was great as well. Pancakes were firm enough to pick up with a fork but soft enough to melt in your mouth. Bacon came out exactly as ordered (extra crispy) without being burned. Freshly squeezed orange juice is their internal extortion scheme: devoutly pulpy and good enough that I would upgrade to a large next time. Scrapple is properly browned on each side, and the over easy eggs are done right. My wheat toast thankfully didn't come pre-buttered. Chipped beef is decently portioned to split as a side; the cream only congeals slightly as it cools, and an acceptable grade and ratio of beef bits are worked in.
