Great cocktails and food!! Nice atmosphere too The service was a little inconsistent: The fill up your water very (almost too) frequently, I disliked they ask if you want a box while you're still chewing and then need to ask for the check I'd go back to see if they read this !

Came here for an end of year dinner with my husband and best friend just to celebrate! We had an amazing night. The food was delicious, as was the wine. The service was excellent despite it being a busy night with a full parking lot! We were very pleased with everything. Highly recommend

Went on a Wednesday night and there were a decent amount of people which I took as a good sign--and I wasn't wrong! All three meals we got were delicious! We asked for our fried calamari appetizer to be made well done and crispy and it came out perfect! And the decor was great too. Will definitely be back!

We came here for happy hour and loved everything about it! The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations. The space is warm and nicely decorated. We loved the truffle fries and the meatballs with grits. The bread is delicious! The bar has a nice variety of signature cocktails and wines. We loved the sidecar. We look forward to coming back for dinner sometime soon!

My new favorite place Warm cozy "old school atmosphere" with fantastic food. Cozy and not musty. I had the pork chop scarpariello and it was FANTASTIC. Just the other balance of tang and heat makes this a winner Looking forward to returning within the week

I ordered the Turkey burger with Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was delicious! Our server was welcoming and thoughtful. The ambiance is typical "pub" type atmosphere, overall a positive experience.

The cocktail glass came straight from the freezer, and the drink was shaken and strained. I enjoyed sipping the ice-cold cocktail alongside the super-salty, crunchy olives. Despite being shaken, the drink was strong without feeling diluted. The food arrived promptly, and I particularly enjoyed the guacamole appetizer. The dip was fresh, with creamy avocado pieces that made for a great start to the meal. I was excited to see a poke bowl on the menu, and while the tuna was fresh, the dish as a whole was a little underwhelming. Pickled onions instead of raw red onions would have elevated the bowl, while the tomatoes and spinach felt like an odd addition and didn't add much to the overall dish. The fries were also fine. To end, The Lantern has a welcoming atmosphere, a solid cocktail, and some tasty bites, but there's room for a little more finesse on the plate. I'd happily return for another cocktail and to see what else the menu has to offer.

There was a table with kids that was really loud; they could use some acoustical tiles or something. The vibe was pretty nice. It's a decent spot, in this nice little downtown.

In terms of the atmosphere, it was bone chilling inside. All of us had to put on extra layering and ordered hot drinks to keep our hands warm. Service: Woefully understaffed. Multiple errors and waiting for simple requests - a coffee refill? The one wait staffer (handling the entire restaurant was literally sprinting to handle customer requests). I could see why the room was not cold to the servers... It was not their fault. They did their level best to accommodate guests. Food: Rack of lamb was excellent which we shared as a starter. Bacon sides were very generous for the price and very tasty. Potatoes were excellent. The waffles could have been better. Nice portion but half were overcooked and the other half smothered with blueberries which I ordered on the side. Coffee was average to below average. Shouldn't be since they apparently roast their own beans. The understaffed help could have been overlooked. The extra required layers and frozen feet were hard to ignore. Overall, they need to be sure they're fully staffed, food is served timely, hot and "done just right," we will not be returning anytime soon. And, please turn up the heat!

They also have a kids menu (under 12). The prices are moderate, most entrees $10-$30 range. I stopped by Pop's Diner for lunch recently. The place wasn't busy and I was seated at a booth. I got an ice water and ordered the French Dip ($15.95 plus tax) served with fries, cole slaw & dill pickle chips. My entree plate arrived in 10 minutes. The French dip sandwich had thinly sliced roast beef (med well), melted mozzarella cheese on a soft Kaiser bun (cut in half) and a cup of hot au jus for dipping. The standard golden fries lightly salted were hot and crisp. The crunchy creamy cole slaw (shredded cabbage & carrot) was smothered in mayo. After I was done, the server brought over the check with a SkyTab QR code, to pay online. Overall, a pretty good lunch with prompt service. If I'm back in town for a show, I would stop in for dinner.
