One star better this time! The service was definitely faster, probably because we ordered at the kiosk as soon as we arrived instead of waiting for the waitress. The food was fresh and tasty, Panang curry, pad Thai and soup, and the dining area was clean and nicely decorated. I also still appreciate the good outdoor seating.

Barn Thai is located in a fairly good-sized shopping plaza. There is plenty of parking available. Small family restaurant with inside dining mostly, but they do have a few tables for outside dining. The service is always friendly and nice. Order via kiosk, pay and tip on the kiosk, and decide if take out or dine in. Take a number if dining in and choose a table. On other visits, I've enjoyed the... Basil Fried Rice, Pad Thai Noodles, Drunken Noodles, Green Curry, Panang Curry, Devil Wing, and Tom Yum Soup. Today, I had the Thai Shaking Beef Salad (3/5). I got it mild, but it still had some good heat on this. I liked the salad and all the spices, tart and sweet flavors. The portion-size was good to share. Personally, I wish the beef was more tender. I felt the lemongrass was lacking. "JPP" Crab Stir-Fried Noodle (3.5/5). Thin rice noodles pan-fried with eggs, crab meat, and green onions. Overall, 3.5 stars.

Decent Thai food. We tried the place during lunch hours but it was not a very pleasant experience because of lack of AC on a 90 degrees hot day. Service was fast considering we only had 1 server. We tried Chicken satay, Devil wings, JCP crab noodles and mango stick rice but the only dishes which stood out were the 1. Mango sticky rice - You can't goof up this fool proof dessert and 2. Devil wings - Crispy, Sweet and a tad spicy. Super good. Other dishes were pretty average. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit this again!

Love the authentic flavors, the serving is big, the place is clean and near. The service is fast as well. Will recommend!

Average Thai food in a dated restaurant. Came here for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty empty. The Roti was very flaky and buttery; wasn't a traditional roti but I liked it. Also got a papaya salad that I forgot to take a picture of; it was refreshing and definitely would recommend. The curries were disappointing. It was just a small bowl of coconut milk and chili paste with some meat. What happened to all the veggies and herbs that typically go into a Thai curry? It also came with a random spring roll and rice in the shape of a cone.. which was odd. There's better Thai elsewhere.

Decent Thai spot. Went here for lunch with my coworker. I ordered the JPP crab noodle and a Thai iced tea. Service is a tad slow because they only have one waitress. Huge portion. I took half of it Togo and was still stuffed. But I really enjoyed it and would come back again to try other items.

I love the lunch specials here! I've been here many times for lunch, as I work nearby, and the food is always delicious and service is super quick. Prices are also really reasonable too. Highly recommend during lunchtime or anytime really, it's delicious Thai food!!

They were pretty one-note in flavor and felt underwhelming. The crab fried rice and Panang braised beef were both enjoyable, but neither dish was particularly memorable or something I'd go out of my way to order again. The braised beef itself was tender, but it was served in large chunks that didn't make for the most appetizing presentation. The Thai iced tea was also noticeably sweeter than what I'm used to, which may work for some people but wasn't my preference. One thing that stood out for the wrong reason was the pacing of the meal. Our crab fried rice arrived first, followed by the curry puffs, and then the Panang beef came out last. The timing felt disjointed, especially since you'd expect the appetizers to arrive before the entrées. The biggest issue, though, is the value. The prices are on the higher end for Thai food, and when the overall experience is just average, it's hard to justify the cost. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. Overall, it was an okay meal, but with so many great Thai restaurants around, I don't see myself coming back.

I am one of those people who thinks that just about every meal needs animal protein or it won't be satisfying. Well, Happy Flower proved me wrong because I came away with a very happy and full stomach and I did not even miss the meat! We ordered 8 different dishes to share family style, and I was especially pleased with the all seasons sampler and vegan fried rolls appetizers, as well as the pad Thai, salted fish fried rice, hainan chicken rice, tomato fish, and happy clay pot entrees. Each dish was quite large such that all 9 of us were able to try generous portions of each dish. And then we got two servings of the mango sticky rice to share and the mango was amazingly sweet! I did not try their boba drinks, but a few of my friends ordered drinks and enjoyed them. Their boba drinks are sized quite large as well. I will say, the meat doesn't necessarily taste like the meat it purports to imitate, but the textures for the fake chicken and fish are pretty spot on! Service was friendly and helpful and they delivered the dishes at a good pace. The inside isn't fancy, but it's clean and well lit and spacious. I wish I had known about this hidden gem sooner, but they had a good clip of takeout orders and families coming in for dinner. Parking is also plentiful and easy in their large attached lot. I will be back!

It was super flavorful, perfectly spiced, and the "beef" texture was on point. I always order the Papaya Salad and typically love it, but today's sauce was a bit sweeter than usual. I still enjoyed the crispy green papaya and fresh basil, I just wish the sauce was the same as before. The Pad Thai was not for me. While the portion was huge, it didn't have the flavor and authenticity I was expecting. I wouldn't order it again and gave it away since I didn't plan on eating more. The vegan fried rolls were good and they arrived crispy, but I wouldn't get them again because the inside had something sweet, and I didn't like the sauce. I'll still order from here because I like most dishes I've tried, but there are definitely some items I ordered today that I won't be getting again.

Owned by a winner of a reality cooking competition, it makes sense why it is priced at a premium, and with that follows pleasantly attentive service, innovative dishes, and comfy seating. I found the food to be generally pleasant, and the only thing that is unpleasant is their proximity to the train station that interrupts conversation on an intervalized basis. Old Siam - I see the vision of this luxury take on an old fashioned, which is flavorally accurate. I think the garnish is a bit too simple beyond the block ice to properly convey that look. Roti Mataba - Intriguing dish as I've never seen roti used to encapsulate before, but its smart as it creates a flaky exterior that pairs incredibly well with the curry sauce. Pad See Ew - Large portion of a classic dish that is served on the lighter side but still tasty. I would clean up on the presentation though. Mango Sticky Rice - Beautiful arrangement of mango sticky rice that shows great knife skills of the mango. You can see the heart shape starting to form of the sticky rice as well, which is beautiful. I think it coild be even more advantageous to use rose to dye for a more warming color palette. The filling on the lettuce wraps was a little on the wet side (meaning it stuck together versus being crumbly/separated), that's neither good or bad, and the taste was good. The pork belly was crisp and I think purposely cooked crispy, and the sweet and sour type sauce added some moisture- went together well. For the entrees, we had tea leaf salad - really good with a lot of textures via the seeds to go along with the greens and other vegetables. Both noodles (House Noodles with Shrimp and Curry Noodles with Chicken) were also great, with the House Noodles being almost Pad Thai like in seasoning and the curry one being rich and lots of umami. Generous amounts of chicken, cooked well so it was easy to shred apart. Finally, the honey walnut shrimp was done really well. Plenty of walnuts, not overly sweet or goopy - one of the best versions I've had. Service was great, attentive, polite/friendly, and they filled our water glasses frequently. Decor was pretty typical - but on the nicer/classier end of the level of this type of restaurant. So nothing really to criticize! We'd happily come back here again.
