Great Thai food in South Bay! We ordered for take out but service was great and quick, and they kept our food warm. We didn't sit inside, but it seemed like there was decent seating if you wanted to dine in. The food was very good & portions were generous! Great if you're looking for something open late!

The food was really good, the pad Thai wasn't my favorite but I still really enjoyed it. Their pineapple fried rice and papaya salad was excellent though! This is my favorite Thai spot in the area that I've been able to find! Can't wait to try more of their food!

Absolutely love Tommy Thai! Their portions are a surplus in portions for the price and my usual is pad see ew and pad Thai. In this occasion I got tom Kha soup and it is mouth watering! Their service is top notch and the ambiance is always inviting :)

Such a cozy little spot with warm vibes and friendly service -- perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with family. The Spicy Catfish was absolutely amazing, packed with flavor and heat. The Garlic Butter Noodles were a huge hit with the kids -- simple, buttery, and perfectly cooked. We also loved the Chicken Satay -- tender, tasty, and a crowd-pleaser for both kids and adults. The Tom Yum Soup was spot-on -- savory, tangy, and super satisfying. Next time I'm definitely going to try their higher spice levels! For dessert, the Mango with Sticky Rice was nice and fresh, though a scoop of ice cream would've made it perfect. Generous portion sizes make it easy to share dishes, especially if you're dining with a larger group. Overall, a great spot for flavorful Thai comfort food and a cozy family lunch/dinner!

Unassuming spot with a tiny parking lot. I see half the business are from to-go order pickups on a Wednesday night. The portions were big and food was solid. This is your straight forward, no fluff Thai comfort food. I never had peanut sauce chicken before but I love peanut butter and dishes. This ran too sweet and I'm sure has cups of sugar in it. Pad See Ew was decent. Spicy Basil Fish had big pieces of fish and lots of peppers too. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area and craving Thai food.

I've been coming here for the past year and food been consistent. My go to is pad see ew. It never fails. Service is a hit or miss. They sat quickly on a Friday.

Ordered here for lunch. The food was below average In my opinion. The garlic noodle did not taste very flavorful. Also the noodles were on the oily side, I asked for it to be spicy, but it didn't taste like they added anything in. Had more of a soy sauce taste to it. Gave two stars because the sticky rice was decent but I have had better at other Thai restaurants.

I got the S2 - Rock Cod medium spice with rice. I liked the blend of crisp, with sweet and spicy. Service was great! Low key ambiance and good environment to have dinner with friends or even alone. The Thai tea was also really good and sweet (more milky than tea).

We ordered delivery. Everything arrived warm, which was nice and showed care in how it was packed. We had asked for our dishes extra spicy, but most of them came out pretty mild. The pad see ew had good protein but was a bit low on broccoli and the flavor felt a little flat. The catfish was flavorful, soft, and nicely flaky -- definitely a highlight. The larb wasn't quite what I'm used to; it missed that tangy, fish-sauce kick I usually enjoy. Even though it's a 3-star experience for me, there were still some bright spots and thoughtful touches.

Tommy Thai is a convenient spot when we want a quick bite close to home. The food is pretty tasty, the service is fast, and the portions are generous -- we usually eat half and take the rest home. Last time, we had the papaya salad (the best dish), spicy catfish (pretty good), and crispy beef, which I think I liked even more than the fish. Overall, everything was flavorful. I wouldn't call this my favorite Thai place, but I definitely don't mind coming back.

We got the Penang braised beef, pad see ew, pad ka pow, Thai hot pot, and mango sticky rice. The Penang braised beef is basically like the Penang curry - very rich, well spiced, and the beef is tender. My favorite dish here. Pad see ew is good but fairly standard - pricing is pretty high for a dish like this - $20+ for a noodle dish. The pad ka pow is good - something I normally wouldn't get, in favor of curry, but it was great for sharing and open up my horizons beyond my typical order. Thai hot pot for $35 was really disappointing - there is good amount of beef but they do not do a good job with the meat cuts and it is easy to overcook due to the constant fire inside cooking up the soup. Mango sticky rice is good - mangoes were sweet and fresh, but the rice was on the undercooked side. Service is good as water refills were present and they brought the dishes in a timely manner. Overall, decent Thai food, but coming from Seattle, this did not wow me the same way as my friends do who live around this area.

I usually skip writing reviews for places that disappoint me for the first time but after a series of letdowns, I felt compelled to share my opinion. We ordered a variety of dishes all spicy level of heat, including the Panang Braised Beef, Crispy Dragon Ball, Tom Kha Chicken and Shrimp (which came with an extra charge), Beef Pad Kew Mao, and the yellow curry (which was out of stock, which was odd since we ordered our food on a Friday around 6:30 pm). The Tom Kha soup was by far the worst dish we had. It tasted like watered-down coconut water, with the proteins and mushrooms just thrown in. The broth lacked depth and was broken, as seen in the pictures. I was so disappointed that I almost drove back to the restaurant to ask for a refund, but my fiancée didn't want me to seem cheap for doing so. The Crispy Dragon Ball "Salad" was another disappointment. It had no greens other than the cilantro that came with it, so I ended up taking some out and adding it to the Tom Kha soup to try to add some depth and flavor to the broth. The flavor of the dish was great, but they should clearly label it as a warm salad without greens or dressing. The Panang Braised Beef had a bland curry flavor, but the meat was very tender and fell apart easily. Pad Kee Mao, recall the beginning of the review where I mentioned we ordered everything spicy level heat. This dish, however, was utterly inedible. How could you possibly make it so spicy that the noodles would instantly burn your tongue and teeth? I shed a few tears trying to eat it, not wanting to waste my money. The result was a very bland, uninspired Thai taste that lingered in my mouth. The next day, we decided to order Thai food again, but this time from Shana Thai, another Thai restaurant off Moffet Blvd. They never disappoint. The ambiance was average, typical of a regular-sized restaurant. Did not take photos of the curry because it's just a red curry nothing special and the Pad Kee Mao I was just done with the whole experience, basically resigned to the fact that we had wasted our money on shitty over pieced Thai food.

Beef was super tender. Noodles were delicious. Green curry with chicken- my boyfriend was a big fan of this! It is a bit on the saltier side for me; but still good. Fried tofu- 10/10!! All of them were great. But I have to give a special thumbs up to the crab fried rice. Very fragrant and delicious. Will definitely come back just for that. The Khao soi is good, but a bit heavy for me. Still would recommend it to people to try though. The fried tofu was simple but delicious and was super crispy. Their sweet sauce also goes well with the tofu. The mango sticky rice was a nice finish, nice combination of sweetness and savoriness. I wish the mango was a tad sweeter but hard to get great mangoes I guess. Place is decently large but gets very crowded since they're good, so expect long lines. Sadly you gotta sign in at the restaurant to join wait list. Would've been nice if we can join waitlist from Yelp directly without going there. Also the place somehow was quite loud for some reason. Not sure if it's due to the acoustic of the place or the wall material, but it's definitely loud.

I would try it again with chicken or beef. The sauce does not really penetrate the prawns. The flavor and thick texture of the pumpkin sauce and pumpkin chunks was good. It was not overly sweet, and the coconut milk and red curry was noticeable. I was not a big fan of the spicy basil grilled beef. Flavor was okay. It wasn't a great cut of beef. The Tiger Cry was not a great cut of beef either. It was a bit thin compared to another place. It's a grilled hangar steak. It was served with steam vegetables and a not very spicy vinaigrette sauce. My son loves meat, so he would choose the Tiger Cry between the two. The pad see ewe with beef was a bit oily and not super flavorful. The noodles were soft and the beef tender. I thought it was better than the pad thai I had here last time. The Pad thai did not have that much flavor and the noodles were very soft. Yellow curry with chicken is always my favorite. It is good here. We also ordered the Mussaman curry, with beef and it has ginger and pineapple. It's a different flavor than the yellow curry and it has potatoes too. Thai iced tea is Thai iced tea. A lot of Asian restaurants have employees with English as their second language, so they can be very shy. Tip is on the total not the subtotal if that makes a difference to you. Food here was good. Let's start with the food - it's good not great. Thai food is generally known to be affordable and good value. This spot definitely isn't going to be saving you any money to offset less than stellar quality. If there were no other Thai options, it may be ok, but the Bay isn't lacking in quality Thai food. Most dishes are bland and dare I say pretty Americanized. Sadly, the food is the best part. The service is really and I mean really bad. Even when it's empty, they are still slow and don't seem to care at all. Complete antithesis of what you may be used at Thai restaurants. The atmosphere is mid. The place hasn't really been updated much over the years and it's starting to show its age. Overall, it feels like Amarin is stuck in the past and everything has just come at them fast.
