    Drunken noodles

There is a parking garage across the street from this location. Service is wonderful, always checking up on us, someone walking around with water. Decided to dine outdoors in the shade because the weather was so nice out. Shared the fried spring rolls which were nice and crispy. I like that it had noodles in them. My drunken noodles with shrimp were so flavorful and filled with crisp but cooked vegetables. It had a strong taste of basil which I loved. Only had 5 pieces of shrimp for an upcharge of $2. Yellow curry was also very flavorful with a mild spice to it. Can choose white or brown rice and opted for brown rice this time. Water is refreshing and comes with lemon in it. The portions seemed small for the price but, I would definitely come back again to try more dishes because everything tasted great.

Came in for dinner for Dine Sunnyvale week with a friend who was visiting from LA. It was his 1st time dining @ Thai Basil & he loved the food. We ordered quite a few dishes for 3 people because I wanted him to sample as much as he can. We had a wonderful dinner with very good customer service and delicious food. The prices are good with good portion sizes. We have dined here many times and will continue to do so.

Crab fried rice and Spicy catfish were exceptional and are highly recommended. Fresh and authentic flavors. Fairly good portion size for sharing. Unfortunately the service did not match the quality of food. We had an exceptionally long wait after being seated for our food to arrive. Compounding the issue was our server who made an error with our order. Instead of addressing the mistake professionally, she loudly insisted it was our fault, which was, to be honest, both embarrassing and unprofessional. There is always a polite way to handle such situations. While the cuisine was delightful, the poor service significantly detracted from the overall dining experience.

My friend and I had lunch here today (11/4/2025) and we ordered a simple vegetarian fried rice and cashew chicken. My friend was told that rice was included with the chicken dish for lunch. That it; no drinks. The electronic bill was around $42 and we added approx. 20% tip and left $50 *in cash* After we left the restaurant, we felt that the bill was higher than what it should. I went online and ordered the same two items (without rice) and the bill came to $43 *including a 20% tip*. So, we ended up tipping twice - with a 20% tip already included. We should have asked for a physical receipt. Please check your bill, if you decide to eat here (we're not going to, of course)

We visited during Sunnyvale food week and had a lovely meal! Plus great Thai tea and attentive service from the staff. Only a few others dining while we were there, it was a nice atmosphere. The food was so delicious and filling! I had leftovers to take home which were great the next day. Will definitely be visiting again for a Thai food craving!

Not sure I will be back here after today sadly. The 38$ for two orders of the chicken basil with two sides of rice is not that bad. The deciding factor to not return is the overwhelming salt that made my stomach turn and the spices I again had asked they leave out of my order and they again did not respect my request. Makes me sad that the last two times and now this being the third time I drove the 45 min drive for the memorable chicken basil plate I crave has been disappointing. The portions were decent. I may have got the old leftovers from a different day. It looks old and salted so much it very well could be. Hope my stomach is not upset later.

Finally able to make it here and it did not disappoint! We ordered the following items to share: yellow curry with beef, shrimp pad thai, calamari and the mango sticky rice for dessert. Everything was delicious. The calamari was good, but not sure I would order it again. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more menu items.

Went for Sunday lunch and the service was quick! The food was delicious and we enjoyed the beautiful weather on the outdoor patio. Will be great to come back and try all the other items. For spicy level they have a scale from 1 to 8 and to me the 4 was mild-hot. Can't imagine how "hot" is.

Delicious Thai food! I've never been a fan of Thai cuisine, mostly because of the strong coconut flavor, but this place completely changed my perspective. (For context, I ended up here because of a team lunch from work.) I tried the mango curry -- something I've never seen on a Thai menu before -- and it was absolutely delicious. The green curry was also packed with flavor and very enjoyable. While the service was a bit slow -- we waited around 45 minutes due to a mix-up where our food was accidentally served to another table -- I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. It was my first visit, and the place seemed a bit understaffed during a busy afternoon. The restaurant has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating. Their outdoor patio is a great option, especially for pet owners. Overall, it's a great spot to unwind and enjoy a flavorful meal in a comfortable setting.

Good service. The dishes were tasty but the pad see ew was a bit oily. Overall, a good Thai restaurant.

DoorDash order: Easy pick up and food ready when arrived. 8/10 Pad Kee Mao Beef $ - Food was still hot when I got home which was a plus. Noodles were yummy thick, wide, coated and seasoned well. Beef was ground not strips which was misleading, but still really flavorful. Also I asked for extra spicy and they delivered. :) for the price I'd say this was a solid portion and well made. 7/10 Thai tea $ - Generic and average. They did not mess it up but nothing noteworthy.

Prices are very fair and service is great! Not sure the reason behind the low reviews but the noodles and fried rice never disappoint me

My name got called and they said "oh let's wait till all your party comes and then we'll get you seated." I explained to them that I need the table 1st so that my friend doesn't have to go through waiting standing, then getting usher to a table, considering the handicap. They were stuck in their thought process and did not give us a table. My friend had difficulty parking and getting in - so of course we had to wait to get a table. This is not at all considerate of them when we explicitly said we have a member with a handicap. They were rigid. What I noticed is that the corner table I asked for was given to a lady, even though her companion came in much later! The indoor seating is very cramped. I wonder how many people are truly allowed! I can grab anything from the next table if I wanted to - that's how terrible the seating is. 1 point for : The food is OK. Everything tastes the same. It's a bit too salty. This place is not worth a second chance! Especially for their attitude towards the disabled and handicapped!

We got the Penang braised beef, pad see ew, pad ka pow, Thai hot pot, and mango sticky rice. The Penang braised beef is basically like the Penang curry - very rich, well spiced, and the beef is tender. My favorite dish here. Pad see ew is good but fairly standard - pricing is pretty high for a dish like this - $20+ for a noodle dish. The pad ka pow is good - something I normally wouldn't get, in favor of curry, but it was great for sharing and open up my horizons beyond my typical order. Thai hot pot for $35 was really disappointing - there is good amount of beef but they do not do a good job with the meat cuts and it is easy to overcook due to the constant fire inside cooking up the soup. Mango sticky rice is good - mangoes were sweet and fresh, but the rice was on the undercooked side. Service is good as water refills were present and they brought the dishes in a timely manner. The woman who was taking care of everyone seated (about six full tables) was kind and welcomed us to come back which I appreciated. The parking was a little tough even on a Wednesday at 1 PM. The food is honestly the best Thai in the Peninsula (my opinion) with very authentic flavors. I'd definitely recommend coming with a group so you can order and try more dishes together. Here's what we ordered: Pineapple fried rice with seafood: This is probably my most favorite dish. Super fragrant, flavorful, and loaded with seafood. Even the picky ones or children can have it, as it's not spicy at all Panang Neua: Beef rib was super tender and basically falling off the bone. It came with sticky rice and sauces, looks aesthetic in picture. Tom Kha with chicken: A rich, creamy coconut flavor soup. Very comforting and an easy dish. Tom Yum with shrimp: A bit sour and spicy soup, I really like it but some found it a bit too spicy. Pad See Ew with beef: I originally thought I wouldn't like it because I expected it to be a greasy heavy dish, and it was in fact still a little oily, but the beef, the seasoning and sauce were actually really good, so I ended up enjoying it a lot more than expected. Though it was Saturday noon, we found free covered parking at Menlo Center Plaza off Santa Cruz Avenue. True to online postings, this restaurant had vibrant & faux flowery decor. Our large group of 8 was seated in the main dining hall with another large group. The menus of specials and cocktails with colorful F&D photos reminded me of touristy European restaurants. I had the hot Japanese sencha while my wife got the Thai Iced tea served with a crushed iced ball on top. Roti Mataba, Crispy Egg Rolls, Farmhouse Wings and Crispy Calamari were our starters for this gang of eclectic diners. I shared with my wife the Panang Neua (braised beef in curry sauce) and Pad See You which came gorgeously plated with generous servings. We were able to sample the Crab Fried Rice and Tom Kha from our dinnermates. Ruk Na (love you) Platter was the underwhelming dessert combo of Thai Vacation, Sticky Rice (no mango), Chocolate Cake with fresh fruits and a macaron. To be described as IG worthy in the menu wasn't accurate IMO. It must've been an off-day in the kitchen when they were prepping this "leave the choice up to us" plate of sweets. Food was way flavorful than regular Thai restaurants we've been to. The common complaint is the very pricy food. The staff was nice though. They even acknowledged our request for photos. Even with the setbacks, this was a nice lunch with this group.
