I ordered the Pad Thai (seafood) and Pad See Ew (shrimp), and the total came out to about $50. Unfortunately, both dishes were pretty underwhelming. Everything tasted just okay, very mediocre overall. The Pad See Ew had a weird bitter aftertaste that made it hard to enjoy. The Pad Thai was also disappointing; the noodles were clumped together and lacked flavor. We didn't finish either dishes. For the price, I expected much better quality and taste. Probably wouldn't come back.

Small restaurant and you can hear conversations from the other side of the room. I enjoyed the shrimp tom kha soup. It had a slightly spicy kick to it. The roti came with dipping sauce and diced cucumber (slightly pickled). Beef pad see ew came with eggs, where most of the salt/flavor was seeped into, and the beef was a bit dry for my liking. Service was quick? but I didn't enjoy our plates being moved/touched after we've already eaten from them and after a server had been moving tables.

    Roti was delicious

5 years later and this remains my first Thai spot. Service is beyond great and the food is still the best! I have yet to find another place in the south Bay with better Khao Soi!

We tried the new Lao Combo Som Tum salad this time and it's so flavorful! The sweet crab is very an interesting ingredient, crunchy and juicy, it adds to the overall flavor profile, very similar to the Korean raw marinated crab. Other dishes are delicious as always, we'll be back soon!

Delicious Thai food with a comfortable and dog friendly outdoor patio! We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no line. We ordered the roti, crispy pork belly, sausage, Laos style papaya salad, and a khao soi to share between 3 people. All of the food was absolutely delicious but we felt like the portions were a little small for the price. The pork belly and sausage were both ~ $23 and didn't come with as many pieces as we thought it would. This was some of the crispiest roti I've ever had! I loved the curry dipping sauce on the side and the nice crunch of the cucumbers. The pork belly was slightly overcooked, a little hard but the flavors were great! The sausage tasted house made, it had a great tang to it and I loved the variety of dipping sauce. We ordered extra spicy/hot for the Laos papaya salad but it was definitely medium. The khao soi was very comforting on a cold day and the broth was rich and creamy. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area!

We were looking for a late night dinner spot when we landed on Khaosan Thai, and I liked it sooo much more than I thought I would going into it haha. Service was quick and friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious! The food highlights: + Chicken Satay (3/5) ($16): Comes with 4 skewers and toast. The chicken was good but missed that grilled "char" flavor I was hoping for. The sauce it came with helped to elevate it though. + Roti (5/5) ($12): The texture of the roti here was craaaazy. I'm always here for a good crunch and this had it! My only con was how small the curry sauce container was lol. Hard to share + dip + Curry Puffs (4.5/5) ($12): Comes with 3. The puffs were nice and flakey and the filling was packed with a punch of flavor! + Ka-praw (5/5) ($22): We got the beef one. This was SOOO good! The flavors were bold and peppery. I think if you order this, you have to get rice since since it does have a good kick lol. Ambiance-wise, it does feel a bit compact here; I'd probably get takeout in the future. Food came out quickly and service was friendly!

First time at Khoisan Thai with a party of 3 and was pretty disappointed. The service started off bad, waiting for water for about 10 minutes and having to ask for it. Orders were taken pretty quickly but the food came out slowly. Friend got his dish first and we had to wait for our mama noodles. I got the mama noodles with tofu instead of pork and the tofu was a bit cold so they just plopped it on top. The lady next to me got her food before another table that came before her. Probably won't be back. Indoor and outdoor seating

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Parking was really hard to find so I parked in the neighbourhood behind. Did not have to wait to get seated though. Ambiance was chill, nothing crazy, not too loud, not too quiet, basically families on weekends. Thai tea - pretty basic Thai coffee - seemed strong (bitter-ish), but no heart palpitations Boat noodle - eh, tasted "medicinal", but also no flavour at the same time Pad thai - very good, good amount of shrimp too Tom kha - a tad spicy for my liking but my tolerance for spice is wack. so it's probably honestly perfect for everyone else. it was very good, i thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the amount of mushroom and onions in it Crispy pork belly - A little salty, and a lot of fat, great skin, sauces that came with it were flavourful. Sticky rice that came with it was hard and dry Was gonna also order one of the papaya salads, but their spiciness level is fixed and they mentioned that it's SPICY, so we didn't get it. In general, dishes were on the pricier end with most dishes closer to 20$ or more.

We ordered three dishes to share: Pineapple fried rice, barbecued chicken, and stir fried eggplant with beef. Food was great and tasty. Liked the presentation as well. I particularly liked the pineapple fried rice and the barbecued chicken. The resto has a nice casual and clean setting. I'm only giving 4 stars because of service. Our server may have missed noting down our third order so the eggplant was delayed.

My friend and I wanted to grab something with lots of veggies after walking for the afternoon. We decided to try a new place and picked Khaosan Thai after looking through Yelp. The menu had a variety of items/dishes that looked promising, but we stuck with what we're familiar with since that's what we were craving. We ordered the papaya salad which came with sticky rice, the tom yum noodle soup (spicy) for me and pad thai for my friend. The restaurant was relatively empty - only one other group - when we got there around 6 on a weeknight. However, it filled up while we were eating and there were also lots of to-go orders being picked up. The inside had cute decor and it was a good ambiance to have dinner as the music was light and relaxing. We both enjoyed the papaya salad - light, refreshing and with a decent amount of kick at medium spicy. I really liked my tom yum noodle soup - the broth was sour and hot (temperature wise), but I would have liked a bit more spice. I've never had an egg in my tom yum before, so that was new. I enjoyed the crispy wonton and ground chicken. The rice noodles were broken up for some reason and not quite cooked enough for my taste. My friend's pad thai took quite a long time to come out - I was almost done eating by the time it was brought out - and she had filled herself up on the papaya salad. She did enjoy the pad thai and I also think it had good flavors as well. Overall, a good solid new Thai place to enjoy. I am definitely going to add it to my list of regulars!

My friend took me here for a late birthday lunch. We arrived on a Sunday and was seated pretty quickly. We ended up getting pork belly, pad thai, drunken noodle, and a few other things. This place is pretty good and I enjoyed the spice of the meals. It's no frills thai and a good one at that. The inside was pretty cool, they allowed the door to stay open so the breeze felt like you were eating outside. The service was good and so was the food. I would come here again.

    Tom Yum Soup

It's very rare that a food compels me to write a review but the Tom Yum soup was AMAZING. The broth was a perfect balance of hot, sour and sweet. It also had plenty of mushrooms, chicken, tomato and onion. I can't wait to come back again!

The menu is laid out by geographic regions, which I thought was a really neat way to showcase the many different cuisines. We started with summer rolls and calamari, both of which were excellent. The summer rolls were fresh and bright, with a delicious peanut sauce that was among the best my sister (a self-described "Peanut Sauce Snob") and I had ever had. The large pieces of calamari were expertly cooked, still very tender even after frying. There was a hint of spice in the calamari dipping sauce that I quite enjoyed. For entrees, we got Pad Thai, Pad See You, and Panang Curry -- all favorites we've had many places (despite the many alluring new-to-me options, I admit we all defaulted to known quantities) -- and we were impressed across the board. Everything was flavorful, had just the right amount of spice, and came out steaming hot. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of this restaurant, which felt lively and friendly. It was very busy, with a line out the door by the time we left, so reservations are a good idea!

Some portions are teeny tiny, some are okay. Their Tom Kha soup and Penang curry are sooo good! And try the tom yum fried rice. All the salads are delish, too. Definitely salty, but good. Spicy is like a medium at an authentic Thai place, so if you like heat, you can totally choose the Spicy level. For an Asian place, they have decent wine. Put your name down on Yelp waitlist ahead of time, especially if you're dining around 6 or 7. It can get busy!

A generous portion of noodles and veggies, but not as much meat (which is fine by me). As a spicy loving girl, the spiciest level option was good as it was present throughout the entire dish, meaning it was mixed in well! I appreciated this immensely. Also got a mango sticky rice to feed my sweet tooth, and it was good too! Served with blue rice which made it pretty. The bad: Oh my god. I love Rad Nar normally, but when I ordered it from here through UberEats, I was severely disappointed and couldnt even finish a third of the dish. It was severely sweet. Now, I do love my sugar, but holy crap it tasted like they marinated the meat, veggies, and noodles in sugar and then added more sugar when cooking it. I also got the spicy option so it was really weird to eat something sickenly sweet with a little bit of spice when expecting a spicy, savory dish. Maybe it was a bad night for the chef or they mistook salt for sugar, but wow. I was in shock, and in the bad way lol.
