This location is comfy and inviting. Except during the holidays, the customer service seems to be limited to a few employees roaming the store, so help is hard to find. But the customer service at the in store Starbucks is stellar! I recommend their matcha tea. read more

I've been coming since high school days. More or less 2006. The good days. And now we got better days. Thank God. Haha. I love coming here. Very clean and fresh. It is always nice to pick a classic here and there. Then read it on my way home. Such genuine employees. Eager to help which enhances the experience. They are very knowledgeable of the books I have questions. I love the selection of films and CD's. There are vinyls. Which is always cool. I can't wait to go back to read a book or two. Once upon a time, before cell phones and IPads there were these things called books and magazines that we used to absolve information from. People would go to this thing called a book store and look forward to reading these monthly news books called magazines that came out in every subject: sex, fashion, cars, medicine, tattoos, all kinds of subjects. I use to go to book Barnes & Noble and collect a bunch of magazines and books and spend hours reading them inside the store. I walked into Barnes the other day and was legit sad that there's not many bookstores anymore and it's my fault cause I buy audiobooks off Amazon. Being inside Barnes and seeing the variety of books in real life definitely has a different appeal than online on a screen. Touching the book and browsing through the pages is better than online browsing of a few selected pages online. Barnes is definitely a place to relax and escape from the rest of the world for a few hours. One last note, remember Thomas Guides?! They carry them in store! With all these mapping apps on my phone I thought they'd stop making them, but they still exist! read more

Both the store and the shopping center are clean. The parking area, which is very close to store entrance feels safe. The selection of Funko Pops isn't as developed as many other B&N, with just the one display tower able to hold their entire inventory. I have gotten two good Chases here, tho'. The smaller collectible toys only recently were removed from their Gulag in unshoppable security containers. The booksellers are polite and professional. Any time their knowledge fails them they will stay with you, doing whatever it takes to find your book or answer your question. I asked, one time, for a particular uncommon book. They were out of stock, but without offering and without me asking, the bookseller ordered a copy for me. He said I would find it on the shelf during my next visit. I did, indeed! read more

Just left this Barnes and Noble and immediately had to leave a rave review about Adrian. He was incredibly helpful, kind and so sweet! He even sold me a membership card, even though I typically say no. He listed all the benefits and even how it could benefit me right then and there, how could I say no. a lady working here was so rude to me and made me feel so unwelcomed. her name is JULIE and she was working in the games section on 2/26/24. i was having such an amazing day walking dogs, running errands, and to end my day i come to barnes n nobles to treat myself since i have two gift cards. i buy things that i like for gardening, my anniversary, and my cousin who is 4. so im looking in the games section for learning games and fun kids games. i'm minding my own business looking at puzzles and checking the pieces out and she interrupts my peace with the rudest comment, i cant even remember rn because i'm shaking. i had asked her if she worked here and she ignored my question with another rude comment. she NEVER politely asked me to put away the pieces of the puzzle. i asked her again if she works here and she said yea in a degrading tone (like i'm supposed to know she works here) mind you she didn't look like she works here besides the small lanyard on her front that i couldn't see cuz she was walking sideways. once she told me she indeed works here i got up right away and put away the puzzle and left to check out my things, because i did not want to be in her rude horrible presence. JULIE, you work as customer service, you can't be talking to customers like you talk to people at home. you need to have a nice demeanor and not put down customers for mistakes they make/or their ignorance to the store policy. it's YOUR job to correct them nicely, not put customers down and make them feel unwelcomed. do better julie or get another job that ISNT required to be civil to customers. read more

Typical of a Barnes & Noble store. Basic layout, books were orderly and displayed well. Store was clean. Only downer during my visit was that the line had about 10 people in it consistently for a good 15 minutes, and then they finally brought a 2nd cashier over. yep, that's right - it was a Saturday afternoon, and they only had one cashier working. How can you sell books if there aren't enough employees to work the cash registers and move the line quickly. I would've gotten out of line and left had i not been there specifically to buy a signed copy of a book for my wife's special Mom's day present (and use my 20% coupon) - lol. read more

One of the few Barnes & Noble bookstores still standing in the nearby area! For that reason alone, 4 stars! Seriously - sometimes you just want to lounge and browse through books or magazines, but it's tough to find a bookstore these days. I personally don't always want to peruse online, as there's still something to be said about being able to see and shop for products in person. Hope this place sticks around, especially since the rest of the plaza has pretty cool stuff (restaurants, Target, a grocery store, gym and more). read more

A quiet and nice place to study and go book shopping with friends! I like that there's a Starbucks inside so you can get your coffee fix while you study. The books and items are always really organized here which I appreciate. I used to come here a lot to purchase study books for my various AP exams and I always found them quite easily. The calendar and activity books selection is great as well. read more

Not the worse Barnes and Noble, but its the closest to me so there's that. The staff is hit or miss. They're either really friendly or really uninterested. The cashiers have generally been polite enough. But the staff at the customer service desk thing in the middle are kinda meh. The Starbucks there does it job, although there not an official Starbucks so they dont take Starbucks gift cards or the app. But you can pay for books/magazines at their register when you buy a drink, or if the regular line is too long. The restrooms need some TLC. Members save 10% on most items, and theres always coupons out on the internet to use. And the amount of adult coloring books that are on sale is always abundant. read more

This spot is a pretty good location for a B&N, since it's surrounded by multiple food venues, a Target, and a Starbucks not too far. Inside is pretty huge, they have a larger cafe area than most B&N's I've been to, and I was able to find a table to get some studying done. Overcharged my mother for an item. She lives far from the store (was visiting a friend). BN.com does not have a customer service email. Their chat is in "beta" as well as their customer service department I was told. I would think a company that has been around as long as BN has, would have great customer service as well as an established customer service department. They do not and could not resolve the issue of a customer being overcharged for an item. Will be contacting the FTC for overcharging customers a price other than what is listed and not being able to resolve it. read more

I absolutely love coming here since they opened years ago. Its a nice place to browse books, stationaries, toys & quirky knick knacks. Staff are nice & helpful would give this place 5 stars but thanks to that one staff at their cafe who has a serious attitude problem. He needs to realize that he is in the customer service industry so be a little more approachable...how about trying a smile & lose the attitude. I'm not sure if he was annoyed at the fact that I had to redeem all the coupons (i had like 5) for the buy one get a free cookie but they were legit since you only get those when you make a purchase plus I am a member for years. I'm a big fan of Barnes and Noble. I don't come here enough, but when I do I can spend hours. There just isn't enough time in the day to go through and really search the books and spend time to explore new Authors. This Barnes and Noble is right next to the big Target and has plenty of parking around the building. It's very large inside with the wonderful aroma of new books. They have tables and chairs spread out so if you're lucky you can snag one to sit and read a book or do some studying. There is a coffee shop inside which is awesome. If you're like me for some reason I get sleepy when I read so coffee can help that. I love the kids section in the back. It has tons of books for all ages of kids. They have a table with chairs and even a little tree that has benches for the really tiny ones. If you get the kids club you get 30% off your first book and they email you coupons. If you're not into reading this store can really persuade you otherwise. Pick up a book, it's good for you! read more

I was in the cafe studying and waiting for a freind from school to meet me; this was the midway point for both of us to meet. I had no problems purchasing a beverage at the cafe; I understand that seats are for paying customers. I did however have a problem with the manager of the cafe walking through the cafe practically eyeballing everyone sitting down to make sure we were doing what we were supposed to be doing and drinking the right drinks (i.e. ones purchased from them of course ;) As i was leaving to go to Starbucks across the way (where there are actual outlets for the paying customers to plug thier laptops into,) the manager approached two girls who were studying and had pushed two tiny tables together and asked if they had moved the tables and that they shouldn't do that because that takes away a table for another paying customer, etc. I was really uncomfortable in the cafe and I think the school cafeteria like atmosphere where we were being supervised is not necessary. Let the poor girls use two tables pushed together, or lose business, your choice B & N cafe! read more

I went into this store a few months ago for the first time and was not impressed. I walked in and immediately saw the long line of customers whish almost made me walk right back out but I didn't, wish I had. I couldn't find what I was searching for so I looked for an employee to help me, I looked everywhere and couldn't find a single person to help me. I only saw two employees at the front registers and know there had to be more working but walked around the whole store and couldn't find anyone. I got irritated and put down the two things I was going to buy and decided to go grab a tea from the Starbucks, since I was already there. At the Starbucks after I ordered my drink I was told that I couldn't use my Starbucks app to pay, not a big deal but just one thing to annoy me about this trip to Barnes & Noble. Customer service is incredibly bad at this location. Consistently. I was looking for a particular book which, according to the website, was in stock here. But it wasn't in its section so I asked a bookseller to help me locate it and all she did was glance through the section briefly and tell me sorry, it's not here. Well, duh. I could've told you that. So I called the store the next day about 15 min before they open to ask about the book again (I figured they'd have done a routine cleanup or inventory check by then) but before I even got a word in the girl on the phone said, "we're not open yet. We open at nine." Caught by surprise, I sort of stammered, "oh, okay, but I just wanted to--" Then she cut me off again w/ a curt "thank you" and hung up. Seriously? This is how you treat your customers when chain bookstores are heading toward the brink of extinction? And this is only one of the numerous times I've gotten rudeness from an employee here. I called and asked to speak with the store manager, whom conveniently answered the phone *makes me wonder*. I asked him why they wouldn't price match and he went on and on regarding shipping costs and delivery. I said, you have to ship the book here anyway, but the book in question had a 50% markup from your online price! No thanks! Hi Amazon, I will be shopping with you. I love Barnes and Noble. Actually, I love all bookstores...and libraries. I took my six year old niece here for her first visit to a bookstore and she was amazed. She actually squealed when she saw the huge display of Frozen books in the front window. Funny thing is, I feel the same way when I walk into Barnes & Noble! Everything is organized immaculately, the employees I spoke to were very helpful, and the shelves are well-stocked. I could look at all the different displays for hours and be totally happy. We signed my niece up for the Kid's Club and they gave her a huge free cookie from the Starbucks cafe because it was her birthday month. The prices are sometimes a little high compared to Amazon, but they have sales and they email coupons often. This location is one story but still quite large, and there's plenty of parking because it's in the Amerige Heights shopping center. read more

I don't usually hang out in bookstores mainly because they tend to be few and far in between. So when I do need to get to a bookstore, this is the one I head to. Boyfriend likes it since he can sit there and read graphic novels to his heart's content while I browse. A lot of times, the book I want or need is not in stock, but I've been assisted by some super nice and helpful people at the assistance desk toward the back of the store in finding obscure books or just ordering a book on a subject I've been interested in. I've always liked browsing the bargain section for random cookbooks too, and I often get recipe inspiration that way, and usually come away with a new cookbook for under $10. My biggest beef with B&N is that they want to charge you $25 a year for their rewards card, and when you say no, they ask again, and again. It's not a "reward" if I have to shell out a quarter of a c-note for it :/ read more

I have always liked this Barnes and Noble, but sonetimes you tend to get those individuals that want to make you sit at home and shop Amazon so you dont have to put up with young retail managers who like to show there authority to the consumer. We bought a ukulele for our son here around Xmas, and of course it wasnt what a 15 yr old liked, and to top it off my Father passed away on xmas eve so with all the arrangements and such, taking back something within that next month was far from anyones mind. When we did go back in February we were told that it was a seasonal thing and couldnt even get store credit for it. SHANE the manager here at fullerton store was adamant about the fact that seasonal items cant be resold, yet if we were here 10 days earlier they would have taken it back. Strange how that works. One girl employee working today 12/02/20 at 5:30 pm came towards me and told that unfortunately she cannot let me sit on their floor and that is why they removed the furniture. I was sitting on the floor with my mask on, alone with no one around me. She said I cannot sit on the floor because of COVID, I mean seriously Karen stop policing people who want to sit on the floor. She is young looking and has dark brown hair. Mind you I was in the children section that has a carpet section, waiting on my pregnant friend to get a book for her child. I had a long exhausting day and decided to come to Barns and Nobles with her because she loves it here and on the way I am buying two books myself. Adrian their employee was so kind, he calmed me down and was not rude about the situation. If I want to sit on the floor I have the right to and I am glad Adrian agreed with me because that means there are employees that respect people's wishes and emotions. You should have more employees like Adrian who not only are doing their job and not policing people sitting on the floor but also has the best customer service! I work in property management and I have to deal with residents all day long and I always be on my best customer service. It is exhausting to be at work all day long and then come to a place I consider peaceful just to get told not to sit on the floor?!! Please stop telling people what to do with their bodies. At lease learn customer service and learn how to ask people. read more

The last time I've been to a book store was when I was in college. Which was about 20+ years ago...Only reason I'm here browsing is b/c I have kids. I like the layout and how Starbucks's is connected to barns&noble. But this Starbucks doesn't accept Starbucks gift cards b/c it belongs to Barns&noble. After purchasing a book for my daughter, I got a coupon for $2 grande drink which I used right away...thank goodness, I felt ripped off buying a paperback scholastics chapter book for my daughter for $10. I spent most of my time at the children section and I felt like they had great book selections for babies to teens. It's nice that a physical book store is still around in a digital world...I'm sure book stores will soon be obsolete so might as well enjoy it since my kids are young... read more

I came here to pick out a GRE study book to use as a preparatory to the exam. As I expected, there were multiple companies who have made books for students to use as a study source. Not knowing which company was better- ETS, Kaplan, Princeton Review, Barrons, etc.- I figured I would ask an employee at the reference desk. Upon walking to the reference desk the lady at the counter was in the middle of writing something down, so I waited a few moments until she was finished. Once she had reached a point (that I assumed she was done) I kindly said , "excuse me" and she looked up and gave one of the dirtiest looks as if I was putting her at an inconvenience. Once I asked her if she had heard any reviews or any preference on the books she gave me a quick NO and turned away. I must say extremely UNHELPFUL and rude customer service. read more
