I discovered Zia Records about a year ago, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places to browse in Vegas! I collect vinyl, CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes, so this place is basically a treasure hunt every time I visit. One of my favorite things about Zia is their selection of older media. I'm especially into 90s and 2000s nostalgia, and I've found so many fun treasures from those eras here. They have a huge selection, so I can easily spend forever looking through everything. I also love that every visit feels different because you never know what you're going to find. I've discovered things I wasn't even looking for and ended up leaving with some of my favorite additions to my collection. If you love physical media, collecting, or just miss the experience of browsing through CDs and movies like we did in the 2000s, Zia Records is absolutely worth checking out. They have both new and used vinyls, DVDs, games, etc. It's a nice place to browse by yourself or with friends. They also sell new and used record players, which is think is super cool! Some areas of the store are quite cluttered, but I'm sure it's hard to keep so many different products organized, especially when they carry so much pre owned as well. They have deals upwards of 99c for older records, that are honestly really cool to look through and find new to you older tunes. read more

Zia Records is one of my all time favourite places and this location was the closest to me when I lived In Las Vegas. I probably stopped at this location well over 150 times and each trip was a different experience since the store has everything from records, comic books, and VHS tapes to video games, toys, and posters (I left out cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays, Clothing, Pins, and so much more) and it truly is a place where you could find anything. As a buying customer, the staff here was always pretty friendly even if it took you a little while to actually find someone to help you, and as a seller it was an easy place to drop off stuff I was too lazy to sell or didn't feel like dealing with myself. Overall, Zia Records is the first place I think of when I think about returning back to Las Vegas. I could write a long review but I'm struggling to do anything except list all the things I like, which is endless. I've bougthen rare Gamecube games, in package WWF Hasbro figures, single issue comics and trades, rare mid 90s WWF gear, consoles, and even enough Kit Kats to feed a small army. I have been to this store many times. The biggest problem I found with this store is employees are less than friendly, and not even the least bit helpful, or knowledgeable with their own inventory. After looking on their website, I saw they had a particular artist's Vinyl LP in stock. So, I then proceeded to the store to look for it. It was nowhere to be found. I then went to a person up at the desk to inquire as to it's whereabouts and nobody seem to know who she was, or where it was, what category it was placed under, or even was the least bit interested in helping me to look for it. The person I asked finally went to one section to see if it was there which it was not, and pointed down to the rows and endless rows of vinyl albums underneath the bins laying on the floor and then pointed down to them basically shrugging and telling me I was free to get down and look on my arthritic knees. After a few minutes, I gave up and left. Why are half your vinyl albums laying on the ground underneath all the bins where nobody can reach or even look? Who exactly wants to get down on the dirty floor and search for those unique hard-to-find unicorns? You would think they know their own stock. It's not very organized there, and their offerings are all over the place. Another simple idea is perhaps to offer a small tablet sized kiosk that helps their customers locate desired albums, and their prospective whereabouts in the store if employees can't be bothered to take the time to help. Being in the customer service industry for 25 years, I have learned a lot. Theirs could be much improved by simply taking an interest in helping a customer that is looking for something specific without a look of disdain or irritation in return. Bad attitudes, and less than stellar interaction on several occasions. That was my experience. I can take my money and my business somewhere else. Needs inventory improvement and better organization. Disheartened at my experience at this record store, especially considering the solid reviews. Should have followed my instinct when I was attempting to get in through the front door with a large, heavy box full of CDs. Two employees saw me struggling, and both looked away. Two stars for being a cool-looking place, but zero stars for the cold employees, especially the redhead who obviously got up on the wrong side of the bed that day. Unluckily for me, she was who "assisted" me at the counter. Odd policies in place, but it's their right. Something felt off from the beginning, so I left. I love going to Zia Records! Sometimes I go to both locations on the same day! This one the staff is very friendly and chill. If you are into collecting physical media this is the spot! They have new and used media, everything you can think of. Prices differ on what your are looking so just be on the look out, they post deals through out the store. So I've been meaning to check this place out for a long time. And so glad I did. They have such a cool selection of vinyl. Price points are a bit high, but I can understand since the store is massive. Tons of gifty items as well and books, CDs, DVDs, manga. LOTS to sift through and look at. Found a couple awesome YES albums, great jazz, and Neil Young. Even an album of Richard Burton narrating some Dylan Thomas poetry. So yeah snagged that too. The much better run of the two Vegas locations. I buy and buy and buy. I'm like 50 customers in 1. Anytime I ever had a issue they have been cool. Pretty much all of the staff is friendly. Some are super friendly like my bud who switched from Eastern to this store. Very helpful, very knowledgeable friendly dude. Pricing for used records are all over the lot. One can easily assume that different people are pricing items. One may be accurate. One may be insane and shouldn't be anywhere near pricing records. One may be high priced. I have seen albums in beat condition marked at $25, the 1st press VG+ at $20 and a mint later pressing at $5 for the same record. I've seen records worth $6 up for sale for $30 and yet they had $1,500 records marked at $3 (Mojo Hand). Very weird pricing. I wouldn't even call it a "record store" and more like a pop culture that happens to be a record store. read more

Incredible selection of media and cool employees! The only thing that makes me hesitant to fully love it comes down to how me and my partner's items were handled while being evaluated for possible purchase. We had valuable items that hadn't even had their packaging removed yet-- and even though they chose not to take some of those things, they had removed the packaging, thereby decreasing the item's own value while not taking it either. It felt a bit like a slap in the face when discovering it. For a record store with such a variety of rare products, you'd think they'd respect your own things enough to not do something like that. Which sucks, everything else about being there, including this being a worker owned store makes it feel so special. Just be careful about what you bring in hopes of them buying it from you, if it's rare and unopened, maybe let them know ahead of time not to crack into it if they don't want it, lol. read more

Used to be a great place to find records at a fair price. in the last two years they have become almost laughablely expensive. Any record you buy there I guarantee you can find almost 25%-35% cheaper online. There is no point of going to the store when their prices are that bad. I see records that should be like 10-15 priced at around 50 - 60. I've seen the same records there year after year because no one is paying their crazy prices. They Have a Beatles Rubber Soul that's been there forever because its selling for more then anyone's ever paid for it on discogs. The average price is about 160, and they are selling it for about 300-350. Do yourself a favor and go to Moondog records or Record city. or Vegas Vinyl read more

Zia has an extensive selection of new and pre-owned music on cds and vinyl, movies/TV shows/documentaries on DVD and bluray. They have video games too! You can easily spend 3 hours here just rummaging through all the stuff. They sell clothes (mostly tees), toys/collectibles, and gift items too. The store is pretty organized, smells a bit of patchouli (which my allergies do not love), and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of deals, rare finds - you can sell your stuff too!
