Great beer list. Pretty darn good margaritas. Menu with basically anything you can think of. Funky decor. Those are my favorite things about Barneys. Oh, and bottomless Mimosas on Saturday mornings. Those are pretty great, too. This place is nearly perfect during the weekdays when it's not too busy. They have great happy hour specials and a TV at every booth table. Food comes fast and is pretty consistently alright. Parking is not a problem during these times. My only problem with this place is the service. If you sit at the bar, you're fine. But if you're sitting at a table, good luck trying to get your waiter's attention during busy sports-viewing times (these times are the absolute worst: during Lakers' games and UFC fights). My other half recommended this place, and it was delicious. It says not recommended for kids but it has a small dining room area. If you bringing kids I just maybe wouldn't do it at night. They had a kid friendly menu and had a coloring page which kept my kids entertained. The food came out quick too, I got a burger and it had green chili, cheese and it was delicious. It came with a cute little basket filled with sweet potatoes fries(sooooo good) They had a large selection of beers as well. We will be back when we're in town again. #highly recommend read more

I've only ever had drinks here so this review does not reflect the food. I love coming here for a drink before or after a movie. They always have a beer of the month which currently costs $4.50, very reasonable. The place itself is really cool. There's an outdoor area, the bar seats are various different styles of car seats, which is awesome. It's usually hard to find seats at the bar, but I've never had to wait to get seats here. There's also cool bleacher-like seats in another section. The fun, unique seating alone makes me excited to come here and grab a drink. Maybe I'll try the food some day, but nothing on the menu has really spoken to me, especially with all the other options in the area. read more

We normally enjoy Barney's, but we go to the one in Pasadena. The Barney's in Burbank is a cool environment, especially on the weekends, but the service is slow! It's more annoying that the service is slow even though the bar isn't crowded. We watched our waiter pour our drinks and sit them at the edge of the bar, and our server didn't come to get them and deliver them to our table for another 10 minutes, despite the fact that there aren't many occupied tables here. Bummer. Hope this isn't the norm for Barney's, however, judging by the other reviews here, this may be a common theme. read more

Honestly I was very excited about this place, but ended up very disappointed.. -First, after we got seated we sat there for 15-20 minutes and not a single server came up to us. Yet two other tables that got seated after us got drinks. -When we got to the restaurant we said we were here to watch the kings vs ducks game and they placed us by the smallest tv. Great place to watch games! Came here on a Thursday night for TNF. We watched in the stadium seating. HUGE tv projection and the stadium seating has 3 rows. Happy hour is great as they have a huge selection of beers. They have select apps for half off during HH. My only complaint is that the food is actually not that great unfortunately. I ordered some wings - buffalo and lemon pepper. They were NOT GOOD at all. We also ordered the nachos and Mac and cheese dippers off HH. They were alright. Overall I was not impressed with the food. whats up with all the bad reviews for this spot? yes, they are busy, but you can't expect to go to a dive bar and have 5 star service. One of my favorite drinks is served here! (Big in Japan. Try it if you like sweet drinks!) The selection for drinks in general is pretty diverse as well. The food is pretty good too but at times too oily for my taste. The servings are a bit small as well but that might just be the cajun shrimp... Although I'm not into sports, this place seems like it'd be great to watch a big football or basketball game with it's big TV's everywhere and even a huge screen & couch in the back! If you want a seat in front of the huge TVs though, I really recommend getting a reservation beforehand, or else your wait could be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. This is hands-down our favorite restaurant in Burbank. The prices are decent, the food is great and the beer selection is huge. We've been visiting Barney's every few weeks for the past three years that we've lived here and we've never had a negative experience. I was drinking my drink while I was waiting for my food. I was almost done with my drink but I was also eating the ice, waiting for my appetizer. All of a sudden a random waiter(? New?) came by and snatched the drink off the table, he moved so fast I couldn't even say anything. I was super frustrated but then another employee (manager?) came up, listened to what happened, offered another drink and apologized. The fact that they moved so fast to make sure I was OK, without me having to even call it to their attention, is amazing. I was ready to get up, cancel my order and leave but the amazing customer service here is worth being patient and understanding. My waitress is also amazing and has a great attitude, which is also enhancing the experience. Definitely recommend this place!!! read more

TL/DR When your choice of going out is unimaginative,come to the bar that matches those choices. Since moving to LA I've gone to a handful of these locations. While they are not bad, they are not good. It's basically a sort of TGIFridays of bars in LA. And I don't mean the bar in a TGIFridays, just in that it tries to have this simulacra planned "quirky chaos" decor and just a shade away from a Chili's, TGIFridays, franchise vibe. Only it's a local chain here in LA I believe. These bars seem to be somewhat of a staple here in LA. While there is nothing necessarily terrible about these places it's the type of place you get off your checklist of places to go to when you first get here or take a tourist friend who insists on visiting a place they heard about from this, that or other person, magazine TV show. Overall the food, service, and at least in my opinion, atmosphere of this place runs the gamut of mediocre to passably bad. Nothing too special about the food. I've had a random assortment of their bar food, wings, nachos, fries, jalepeno poppers, etc. And again while none of it awful, none of it remarkable. Also the service is usually terrible. Wait staff either forget you are there or take forever. Plus for some inexplicable reason it often gets pretty packed, which leads me to my next point. I am sure if you have gotten this far I sound incredibly snobby. And by no means am I going to front and act like I am too good or too cool for a place like this. I'm not. Just look at my review of Marie Calendar's as proof. But I guess what I like least about this place is the vibe. Most people who go here seem sort of as unimaginative as the decor, food, and atmosphere of this place. And usually I find myself guilty of going here when I my suggestions on where to go are just as unimaginative. I've torn this place down enough, so something positive. I rag on this place mainly because there is an almost unlimited selection of bars, restaurants, etc to go and spend your time and money on. However a good thing about Barney's is it's always an option when other plans fall through. The place strongly smelled of alcohol (of course because it's a bar) they need to have exit fans sucking the stale bar air smell out and pump in with clean air air. I've been in places similar and they didn't have that awful bar odor. The food! Was terrible! The chili is not good, it tasted like canned Hornell Chili. I've now been to all 3 Barney's Beanery locations. Not that it counts for much to you guys, I'm just sayin'. Kristy C. had her birthday bash here last night and boy howdy (f*ck did I just say that?) it was crowded. Granted that we had a party of 25-30 people, it was Friday night, AND the Laker game was on. This location is pretty good. It's right off the freeway and there's plenty of parking in the structure right behind it, should you choose to pay for parking. I was able to find parking on the street nearby. From my guesstimation, this seems to be the biggest of the 3 LA area Barney's. Set up is the same with a GAGILLION tvs all over the place, which normally are displaying various sports channels, but on Laker night, 95% of the TVs were tuned to that. One cool thing they have that the other locations don't is a small, bleacher-esque seating area. Definitely makes you feel like you're at the game, sort of. Drinks were never too long to get and as crowded as it can be, it didn't feel that way. A fun time had by all and I hope the birthday girl remembers at least part of the night read more

I don't do beans. No frijoles ... so just the word Beanery made me cringe. Let's just say I had a bad experience. So when I found out Kristy C wanted to celebrate her birthday at Barney's Beanery, I thought to myself I'll make an exception. So everything started out looking good. Fully stocked bar and decent beer selection. No line to get in, the place was packed with TV's. You could say that there were more TV's in this place than there are $1 bills at a strip club. Yeah there were that many TV's. They had stadium seating for you to watch any sporting event or even movie viewing. The theme for the birthday was Sweet 16 x 2 so the people at Barney's were nice enough to play the movie Sixteen Candles for our group. They even have living room set ups so people can chill and play Xbox games like Guitar Hero. So why 3 stars? It seems like a great place to enjoy some drinks and food. I guess if I go back I'll update my rating, but on this particular night I ordered buffalo wings and I only had one request. Me ... "Can I have all wings?" Her ... "I'm sorry we only have drumsticks." That's just like nachos with no chips, chips with no dip, chains with no whips .... well you get the point. Let it be known that I am not really a fan of the Barney's chain in general. My only really solid (and painful) experience has been with the WeHo location where I accidentally went on a Blind Date with a guy who thought we was a cross between Superman and a pirate. Thanks J Date! Anyhoo, besides that memory and of course the ginormous menu that is like a bible to have to read, well, it just wasn't my thing. However, I came here last night with a few yelpers to grab a beer before catching Beer Wars at the AMC 16 and I have to say, I was really pleasantly surprised. It didn't bug me at all. Maybe that is because we were sitting outside and away from the sports bar hullabaloo and all, but it was totally enjoyable. I also discovered a Tangerine Beer, per the servers recommendation, that was crisp, enjoyable and really unique. We ordered a bunch of the happy hour food and it is all as I remember... good drunk food, but nothing to really write home about. I would come here again if I wanted to grab a cocktail or a beer before a movie show, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
