I ordered the meat lover's Stromboli to-go. Upon pick-up, the order was ready. None of the employees were wearing masks or gloves in the prep area. The Stromboli was cooked but not well-made; the bottom was about 2" of dough with a thin layer of cheese and minimal meats inside, topped with a tiny sliver of dough on top. For $25, this was more like a breadstick with a hint of cheese flavor and a few tablespoons of meat. I would not visit here again. read more

I got takeout recently and just like when the first owners opened up it was oh so delicious with garlic knots to die for and very generous portions. Then came the online order . The website leaves a lot to be desired. For $2 you get 2 meatballs halved and deep fried, yes, like a French fry. For $1 at another pizza grill that burned today you get 2 giant tender marinara drenched meatballs and they are bought from restaurant supply. The portions were 1/3 from the other day and garlic knots were not enjoyable and not a value. It's not the store employees fault, it's management and ownership trouble. Only stopped in for a quick couple slices of cheese pizza to go for my ride and I was pleasantly surprised. 2 slices for $5!!! How can you go wrong. Big slices to boot. Quick and presented in a box with wax paper on the bottom, no paper plate in a bag presentation. A neat easy way to enjoy, and worthy of the pizza. Good crust, tasty sauce and loaded with cheese. I will be back often for slices and try a full pie for sure. read more

I was spending time with family yesterday when we all decided that we were craving pizza - none of us felt like cooking or going to get anything, so we opted for Baroni's Pizza. My sister had received a flyer-menu in the mail and decided we should all give them a try. We ordered a calzone with spinach and olives, and a large Meat Lovers(?) pizza - which had pepperoni, sausage, ham and bacon. The order arrived in a decent amount of time, but right away we all noticed it wasn't cooked. The crust wasn't crisp at all, and the cheesy was BARELY melty. It was all room-temperature. We also noticed our meat pizza was missing the bacon, and the ham, while generous, wasn't very good. As far as taste goes, it was fairly bland. It was also pretty over-sauced - and I enjoy sauce. We, almost at the same time, announced that this reminded us of High School Cafeteria pizza. Ick. I'm a big fan of pizza, but not here. We had to use our toaster oven to make it edible. Even then, I left the house after this meal with an upset stomach, heartburn and feeling full but completely unsatisfied. Pretty disappointing. Still feeling a bit gross today :( Perhaps they had an off day, or were very busy, but Pizza is hard to mess up - and with all of the other options in the area, we won't be ordering here again. read more

I'm usually VERY happy with Baroni's. However, on a delivery order tonight, my pizza was pushed over into the box, making half of it a mess, and the Antipasto salad was in the same insulated bag as the pizza, which made it warm and not too appetizing. I have only been here once but service was great, pizza was tasty, and price was perfect! I split a large pizza with a friend, and they were able to accommodate 1 topping on 1/2 and a different topping on the other 1/2. Slices were large, and the deliciousness was enough for leftover slices! read more

Let me preface this by saying that they have excellent food, but it is the service that did this place in for me and my wife. Having ordered delivery from them several times, we had always been impressed by the quality of the food, especially their sandwiches and wraps. So, we decided to dine-in there one evening. The sign said to sit down for service, so we sat down. It did take a few minutes longer to receive service than expected, but whatever, that is not too big a deal for me. We finally received service. Our food and everything was excellent up until it was time to check out. Clearly finished with our food, the waitress asked us if we wanted refills, which we declined thus signifying the end of the meal. We sat there and waited for at least 30 minutes waiting for the check. During this time, nobody thought to check in on us. It was clearly not that busy, either, as we were the only ones in the whole restaurant. Fed up, we finally went up to the counter to find the waitress twiddling her thumbs, clearly bored. Now, I am assuming that we were supposed to pay at the counter, but I have never been to such a place where the waiter or waitress did not bring the check first. At the very least, they should have checked in on us after awhile. I do not know if we will ever do business with this place again, but if we do, we plan on sticking to delivery. read more

We had the baked spaghetti with meatballs and the pepperoni pizza roller. Our food was good, albeit a little artery clog inducing (hard to resist that type of food every now and then!). I will warn, though, do not pay with your credit/debit card. I have heard that other people have had an issue with being charged multiple times, and it unfortunately happened to us, as well. I placed the order online and paid online with my card. When my husband got to the restaurant to pick up the food, he was asked to pay. He explained that we had paid online, so the lady working said she would call her manager about it, and apparently the manager said the online payment didn't go through (however, it showed up on bank account right away). The lady convinced my husband to pay again, and then was inquiring if we had placed an order to the Mt. P location, although she had our food and receipt ready... I understand these types of things happen. But after hearing that other people have had this issue, it makes me wary to order here again. We did call the restaurant to let them know that we had been charged twice, and they said they would remedy it (fingers crossed that it goes smoothly). The way this issue is handled will be the deciding factor on if I order here again. read more

Wife and I managed to get out twoards the end of restaurant week to give Baroni's a try. Overall I think the food was good. I enjoyed the greek salad we had, and thought it was one of the better greek style salads we have had since moving to Charleston. The pizza had a great taste, im not a huge fan of their sauce as I prefer a zestier sauce, while theirs has a good basil flavor. The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings taste great. Also I wish the pizzia had a little more cheese on it. If you get a dessert, I hope you brought a friend because its a lot of food! Overall its hard to beat the price of their restaurant week offering with all the stuff we got. Everything was tasty and came out fast. I would love to go back for lunch and try a few other offerings. read more

$50, for one large pizza, and 2 antipasto salads????!! Only ordered from there, because we received a flyer in our mailbox, after jumping on my trusty yelp, all of the pictures looked pretty appetizing.. good reviews, we ordered at 7:30 PM, was told it would take about 30 to 45 minutes.. after about an hour later... my husband called, we were told, it was on the way.. after hearing his ordeal while placing the order, I felt we were headed for trouble.. she was rude, he had to repeat our order three times,ughhh.. I will give her a break, because maybe she was in training, maybe she had not been properly trained on their menu.. I could have left at 7:30 PM, and very well drove over for pick up, 4 times, by the time it finally arrived!!!!!! After 9 PM.. but we were both very tired, Delivery seem to be the best option, very disappointed!!!!!!! Salad was nothing like they used to make, Pizza looked like he had dropped it, all jacked up in the box, lost toppings.. however he told my husband that we would have a credit, wondering how they are going to do that? I have a couple of other pizza places bookmarked, and looking forward to always trying something different.. I hate throwing money away!!!!! Over the years we have ordered many pizzas and Stromboli's from Baroni's. Over the last year they seem to have plummeted not only in their quality but also in their customer service. Multiple times we have ordered items and when delivery comes items are missing. I have complained several times and this last time I talked to a manager And she told me she was busy at the time and would call me back but that never happened. So I have been a few times, Their food is okay, pricy but okay. But I have never had delivery. Tonight I ordered online, I thought I clicked delivery but it said pickup. I called and the girl on the phone said she changed it and it's not a problem, I even got a confirmation email. That was at 4:30. She said it would be 45-60 minutes. At 5:25 I got an email saying it would be arriving shortly. At 6pm I called and asked if something was wrong (I was very nice about it). She said because of the snow it's taking a little longer. At 6:30 I have my fiancé call because I felt like she was giving me the run around. She said there was a mix up and the food never left but when I called her she said otherwise. She then offered to have the next meal we have comped and not this one and that we should come pick it up. We said no we still want it delivered. I get people mess up but you have to own up to your own mistakes. It really pissed me off that she was blaming the delivery guy for her mistake and then had a really bad attitude. We refused to pay when it came at 7:30, we still tipped because it wasn't his fault. 3 hours for pizza delivery. It came cold, and soggy. Also as a side note the chicken parm I got was a bunch of chicken fingers on bread with some cheese. I think I might have to find a new pizza place :/ read more

This place used to be the best pizza around. Over the last year it has gotten progressively worse and worse. My family would order once a week for dinner and it was great. I dont know if the cooks have left or gone to the other location but the quality is terrible now. It arrives cold every time ( ive ordered multiplw more times just assuming they were having a off day) and I even got a half cooked pizza recently that the top was cooked and the bottom was still raw dough. I keep hoping they can return back to how good they were but it just isnt happening. read more
