The customer service at the Home Depot is excellent (despite the fact that they are understaffed like all the stores are nowadays). I was helped at the Service Desk by an associate named Emma, and she went above & beyond when I was having a problem with a $$ home delivery item that hasn't shown up at my house and it's over a week late. She made lots of phone calls on my behalf and although the issue still isn't entirely resolved, she has escalated it so that it will be resolved soon. I truly appreciated her empathy and ability to think on her feet! I would recommend that Home Depot give her & her colleauges raises because a lot of the customers were pretty darned grumpy and she and her team did an excellent job keeping everything under control. I am very surprised at the lack of concern at Home Depot. I' m old fashioned and get the majority of my statements via snail mail. I received a late notice and was surprised I had not received my statements for a few months. Not a significant amount by any means. I sent a message and asked why I had been converted to paperless. They stated I was not paperless. I told them I was being charged late fees and had not received my statements??? They told me to contact the USPS and will not remove any late fees. Buyer beware! I honestly can't even believe that I have to write this review. Over the years I have completely remodeled my home and purchased, almost exclusively, all building materials from the Home Depot. As you can imagine there's been many returns and purchases due to the size and scope of the project. During a remodel, things get chaotic, and sometimes you misplace receipts. Fast forward to today. I had a set of Christmas lights that were only half lit when new out of the box so less than two weeks later I went back to Home Depot to return them and a few extra plugs that I did not need. This was a return of less than $60 and I could not exchange the lights because they were sold out. Of course, my husband misplaced the receipt so I gave them my drivers license and asked for a store credit. The associate told me that my return was denied because their new return policy limits the amount of returns you can make without a receipt in your lifetime. Well, Home Depot just lost a huge customer. I will never shop there again and I'm going to warn all of you to beware. read more

I bought 37 cases of Malibu Wide Plank (5500$) from this store. The floors were supposed to arrive at 6/18. But it did not. I called the store and even went to the store several times, they couldn't tell me where my floors were. 4 days later, a truck arrived to deliver. However, the driver had no tool or helper. He just pushed our floor down from a very large truck. And the floors were damaged. We went to the store and talked the manager. They promised to refund our money. But they need to get the floors back first. However, it has been 8 days. The store still couldn't figure out who would take the floors back. The manager said the manufacturer was responsible for picking up the floor but she couldn't get an answer from them. And she refused to refund me because she couldn't get the floor picked up. Don't buy anything here. Employees are unprofessional and rude. Bought a faulty dishwasher, which broke 2 weeks after installation. Home Depot return policies only benefit the company and the employees are not helpful for any resolution. The employee Annette from appliances verbatim told my husband, " I would never buy an appliance here, I would go to a mom and pop store and pay extra for the service." Jesus, specialty ASM basically said it was not his problem and told us to just call the manufacturer or Home Depot 1800 number. My experience here has driven the final nail in the coffin for shopping at The Home Depot ever again. I plan to be extremely vocal on many platforms about my experience today. I was sent to this location by a nearby location because the snow blower I purchased there was damaged. At that location the entire process was fine. I used a no interest financing for 18 months coupon and used a military discount, used my Home Depot credit card and went on my way. Aside from the product being damaged. All I wanted to do was purchase a snow blower. However, the staff at this location made the process a painful one. Like I said before, I am a credit card member of The Home Depot and have shopped at many different locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire but have never been treated so poorly especially when spending $1500+. After figuring out that the actual snow blower I wanted was their last one in stock I was happy to be the one to purchase it. However, while trying to purchase it along with my wife, they gave us issue after issue. My wife is a veteran and wanted to apply the military discount to the purchase along with a coupon for no interest financing (just as we did at the previous location 15 minutes earlier) they kept saying "we cant do that" even though I had the receipt from the previous location where the military discount and the no interest financing coupon were both applied without issue. I had to tell her "can you ask your manager why different locations have different policies about this?" Finally after unnecessary arguing they scanned the coupon with the military discount and what do you know they were both applied without issue. No computer error, nothing indicating an issue had occurred. Just them making an issue. After the sale had been already completed, receipt in my hand, the customer service cashier asked to see the credit card and the military ID. She then proceeded to give more of an issue because my wife and I have different last names on the cards since we are newlyweds. Again she made an unnecessary issue saying "the names are required to be the same on the cards". This is funny because of all the locations I have shopped at before, IT HAS NEVER BEEN AN ISSUE at any other location..... ever. Even before we got married it was not an issue. I mean I can walk into a Lowe's and apply her military discount without her even being there. My Advice to anyone is to jump ship like me and shop exclusively at Lowe's going forward. Avoid any big expense items and only shop at this location/company as a last resort. read more

What do you expect when you spend thousands of dollars in a store? - that they would treat you with some respect and help you find the stuff you want to buy. Every shopper should hear our horror story - we spent more than $5000 in this home depot in the past 1-2 weeks, and we had the worst experience ever. First, we went there on an evening during a working day. We had to buy a bunch of appliances and other stuff (around $4000 worth). We struggled to find anybody in the store to even look our way - on a working day!!. We spent half an hour just standing in the middle of the store waiting for one of the sales people to see us and help us. None did. In the end one lady came halfheartedly to us and helped us get some of the stuff we needed before bolting away midway. That day we ended up buying around $4000 worth of stuff from this store. The people in the appliances section were slightly more warm than the other employees. They showed no interest even when we selected multiple large expensive appliances from them. Considering the empty aisles around the appliances section, I would think they need to be very happy somebody is coming in and buying stuff from them. Did I mention the worst delivery/ install experience ever? - two guys who had no idea about how to install the appliances came home and bolted as soon as they could. We had to install the appliances ourselves after asking someone else for help. One thing is for sure - we will never, ever, ever use home depot at any location to get any appliance which needs to be delivered and installed. I called up their customer support and told them about the extremely bad installation experience. People go to best buy, lowes, anybody else - their installers have no idea how to hookup the appliances. Recently we went there to buy shades. We met the worst, most impolite, disinterested sales person in the shades section who treated us pretty badly and tried to sell us some custom shades which were way too expensive. We did not understand half of what she said and we thought she was slightly drunk from the unintelligible manner in which she was talking to us. She did not want to know what we wanted to buy - because we already knew exactly what we wanted. She just wanted to say what she wanted without trying to understand what we were saying. And she used swear words like "shit" around us. Where do these people come from? the twilight zone? We ended up buying more than a thousand dollars worth of shades from the store - but again no interest from the employees to customers who were spending quite a good amount of money here. Frankly I think these employees are definitely racist. Maybe the Hannaford down the road (a despicable place) rubs off on the home depot as well. In this modern world, such behavior tarnishes the reputation of a respectable company and if anybody needs to feel ashamed it is the people who behave like this - because they are basically tarnishing the reputation of the people in this town and the state. Remember guys, people go back to their home countries and tell other people about all these incidents - and who looks bad? - not the people at the receiving end of racism, but the guys who actually behave like this. And this bad reputation stays on for years - even when people have changed. Home Depot please do something about these employees who have no idea how to treat customers. We originally came from California where Home Depot is a well respected store and brand. The local home depot here is a disgrace to this name. There are many good and genuinely nice employees - however these few really bad, employees give the entire company a bad name. I eventually went to Lowes for the blinds. They had levolor blinds but it took them a week to get the one blind they did not have and get all of them cut. Another week for the guy to schedule the install. But atleast they were more friendly. Got around $1000 work from lowes so far and more work remaining. Home Depot must have lost around $3000 of business from me so far. read more

No reflection on any particular store, but on the company as a whole... I purchased a new range. They scheduled a delivery on a specific date with a delivery window of 10:00 to 2:00, so I took the whole day off to make sure I'd be around to take delivery no matter when they showed up. By 5:00, I called to find out why the range was still not delivered, and the dispatcher told me (after being on hold 20 minutes) that the driver was not responding to his calls, and that he had most likely "finished his day". To say that I was angry, is putting it lightly, but I kept my cool and asked WHEN they actually plan to deliver my range - if it wouldn't be such an inconvenience to them - and it was rescheduled a few days later. We'll see.... Such an unprofessional company! No phone calls to let me know the status. If I hadn't called them, I'd still be waiting for this delivery! I had an issue with a broken generator, that my husband and I purchased last Spring. We didn't open the box, (our bad)until we were having it installed this past Oct. When the electrician opened it. He said the flywheel was cracked. We went to HD and explained the situation. The policy is after 45 days no returns or exchanges. Renee, the store manager really went out of her way and did the exchange for us. We appreciate that we didn't have to send it out to the manufacturer to get repaired. read more

I have a mass drivers license that I had to bring my dd214 to the registry to have veteran added to my license. She stated I needed a VA card. Terrible customer care, I usually go around, look for my own stuff because the employees are most of the time rude, couple months ago I was looking for something, couldn't find it my brother said: come on just ask someone and I was stupid enough to ask and had to be strong enough to hold myself down so I wouldn't go down to the same level as the employee and calm down my brother after the rude answer I got from the employee. All that happened was, after walking looking for a doorbell (this was my first time buying one so I had no clue it was going to hidden in the back of the store) I was already walking out, was going to buy it elsewhere so I was going by the flooring department that was when my brother opened his mouth and said: ask this guy! Oh my gosh how I regret it!! I politely asked: excuse me sir, where can I find doorbells? His answer?? "IT WON'T BE HERE!" Loud and clear for the whole store to hear! Not all Home Depots are created equal. This one is by far the best in the Nashua area. Friendly staff that actually try to help you find things instead of sending you to some far flung aisle that doesn't have what you want or just ignore you. Worst experience I have ever dealt with. I ordered a $600 washing machine, I work nights so I paid the extra to have It delivered, installed, and the old washer disposed of. A Total of a $700 order. I took work off on Friday so I could get some sleep the night before the delivery. I was home when The Subcontractor who delivers for home depot(they made no mention of outside services, and give the impression that home depot themselves will be delivering and installing your product) called me and said I missed the delivery. I said that's not possible, I'm home, and my truck is in the driveway. He said he would call me right back. That was at 3:30. At 4:30 I called him back to no answer. I called the home depot appliance delivery hotline. They called the delivery company, who told them that they were 2 stops away and would be calling me within half an hour. I called back at 5:30, they said the delivery company couldn't get a hold of the driver and would call me as soon as they did. I waited until 7pm and gave up. Called back first thing this morning and they told me that the washer was brought back to the warehouse and they needed to reschedule the entire delivery now. I cancelled the order, which required calling another number because the delivery department cant do that. They then told me it would take 7-10 business days to receive my refund. I asked for a supervisor, he told me the same thing. Completely unprofessional and I will NEVER use them again. We purchased the 14,000 BTU LG unit online​ for in-store​ pickup​, their site showed that it was in stock in Nashua. We quickly drove the 23 miles to the service desk upon arrival we were informed that although their computer reflected 3 units in stock they were not able to locate them physically in their store. We waited for another 10 minutes while the search continued. While waiting we were asked if there was anything we needed help in finding by Nathaniel Royer. He then proceeded help in the search. When they established that the 14,000 BTU units were actually 12,000 BTU units he went to work locating a unit in another Home Depot in Hooksett, NH. We were amazed at how exceptional the service provided was during the heat wave yesterday when the portable air conditioning units were flying out of this store. I asked Nathaniel for his business card, it indicated that his title is Operations Manager. He leads by example it appears and this Home Depot gets a 10 as far as we are concerned. read more

Sometimes when you try to do projects on your own they can be pretty intimidating relying on YouTube videos however when I went to this Home Depot Steven in the wood cutting section not only help me select the correct product I needed but also helped on two different occasions making sure that everything was exactly how I needed it to be.What most impressed me was that he came up to me and asked me as opposed to me seeking out a person which is typical of some big department stores. DO NOT GO HERE for kitchen cabinets. Beware of the manager named Tim. We paid for design and measurement services and bought the cabinets from Home Depot. They measured wrong, the order came wrong and missing parts. They sent us a bunch of extra boards that we didn't need. When we brought the extras to refund, they shorted us hundreds of dollars that were eventually corrected after hours of me showing them how to do the math. The re-ordered cabinets were missing parts again. The order and measurement were completely off. Cabinets were inches off in multiple sections of the design. One cabinet went 2 feet into the doorway. This costed us $2000 in extra contractor cost and delayed by over a month. When confronted for compensation of the problem, the manager blamed it all on us. Even though we paid for measurement and design, he said that we wanted the cabinet with a giant gap in the corner, and that we wanted the cabinet to go 2 feet into the doorway. It was almost outrageous, the slander and the attitude, the lack of accountability. They screwed us over big time and not even apologetic. This will be my last time shopping at home depot and I will be ceasing all activities with Home Depot as an investor. If you still insist of ordering cabinet from here, I highly recommend that you bring an audio recorder to all your interactions, especially with this manager. I bought 2 GE Portable Dishwasher for my tenants. One did not work right out of the box. When the water was turned on, it went directly to the floor. Home Depot did not want to hear about it. Apparently 30 seconds out of the store and you own it. Don't bother us; see the manufacturer. I have since found out Home Depot pressures the manufactures to follow lower specs on tools and appliances (that is why they are cheaper). So what you are buying is inferior to the same product you would get at a small dealer. After this fiasco with Home Depot I bought a washer and dryer from a local business. Bottom line the price matched Home Depot but the service and installation (free) were great. I rated this "1" only because they won't let you put in negative numbers. DO NOT EVER buy anything from this store. We bought a $1400 fridge, it was delivered and did not work. Both my father and I called to arrange for a replacement to be delivered. We were told by the oh so pleasant acting manager , Alicia, that the fridge was back ordered and would be in until mid-November. In the meantime, they would send us a 10 FT LOANER!!! What?? I wanted our $$ refunded and a pick up scheduled but I was told by wonderful Alicia (insert sarcasm here) that our $$$ would not be refunded until the fridge was back at the store and that couldn't happen until Thursday--- 6 days away!! A horrible experience with a rude associate, Holly, who promised a call back when we first called in the morning but didn't call. She even hung up on my father. Do not shop here. Home Depot has advertised that they are friendly and oriented to the Military Veterans that have served and are servicing now to protect this country. This orientation was in the form of a 10% discount for veterans who could show proper identification which included honorable discharge papers (DD214)+ picture ID. Within the last several weeks, home depot seems to have reneged on their commitment to the Veteran community. They are no longer accepting valid honorable discharge papers to qualify for this benefit. The seem to think that all veterans carry a Veterans Administration card which as veterans know is not the case. The cards are only available to those veterans that are using the VA medical facilities. It is quite a slap at those of us that served honorably and came home with out injury. I plan to use other sources for my home owner needs in the future. read more

I have a costumer that bought 900' hardwood floor we had trouble installing it we called home depot they came out said keep going twice still have a problem with the wood they gave us 200' from a new batch no problem now they wont replace the 700' need to repair the floor they sent a inspector out that only look at the install and not the wood so I had in inspected ant they said that the wood was not milled right wood was not square and smaller on one end then the other end I have pictures and a report they just give me the run around I am a flooring contractor for 45 yrs I spend a lot of money with home depot if we cant come to an end we will have to go to court and I will be go to lowe's from now on and all my subs will go to lowe's read more
