I like Barros. I used to eat at the one in Mesa all the time. Now Im in Maricopa. We have gone in a few times and the service is sub par. Last night it took 45 minutes to get a spagehtti and our 2nd small pizza. It wasnt busy we went in after the graduation rush. I asked the staff about the order and it didnt really seem like a priority. When we finally got it they couldnt be bothered to take the dirty chicken wing plate, and the other things that didnt need to be there. Instead they moved it all around to put tge spaghetti and small pizza on the table. Otherwise the food is good. This is just the 3rd time we have felt like a after thought or nuisance. read more

My family and I love Barro's and prefer to come here over any other pizza place in Maricopa HOWEVER today was a bad experience. Received a large order of mozzarella sticks which half the order was nothing but breading and missing cheese inside. What did I pay for?? We told one of the girls and her response was "oh sorry about that" Not satisfied. I'm not asking for a refund but maybe bring us half an order of mozzarella sticks with actual cheese inside. I just don't think she knew how to handle a complaint. Maybe training with the staff and get a manager involved next time to handle situations like this. read more

This place makes some awesome pizza! I read the reviews and everyone talked about how great the White Pizza was so I tried that and then just a plain jane Pepperoni. The White pizza has a bunch of different types of cheese and is almost more like cheesy bread with crust than pizza, but still yummy nonetheless. The Pepperoni was one of the best I've had, it had great flavor, just the right amount of sauce and the crust was very good too. The only thing that kind of sucks about them is that they stop taking delivery orders at 10:00 which is a bit earlier than I'm used to but I guess I probably shouldn't be eating that late anyway..... read more

I am so disappointed. Ordered 2 small pizzas and wings. Both pizzas are COMPLETELY raw. Inedible. I'm having to cook the pizzas now myself. Also, last time they forgot the sauce on the kona pizza so I asked for extra sauce. The raw pizza is drowning in sauce and all the toppings are just swimming and sliding off the pizza. I'm pretty sure this will be my last purchase here. For how expensive the food is I expect it to at least be cooked... Ok it's now the next morning and both my husband and I are sick to our stomachs. Maricopa has tried to do pizza, but Barro's finally got it right. It is located in a strip shopping center taking up the corner shop. It has several booths along the walls, but gets busy around lunch/ dinner times. You walk up to the counter to order, sit down and wait for them to bring your food out. The pizza is sooo good. Especially when it is hot. The veggies taste fresh, and they offer many, many topping choices. They do have their own specialty pizzas that are worth a try, (hint, hint: the White Pizza). Several pizza places offer wings, but Barro's, once again, got them right. There are a variety of flavors, and they are a decent size. They also offer bread sticks, salads, pastas and sandwiches. For lunch, this is one place you can still get a single slice of pizza. YUM! read more

I love it here and we frequent this location often. I have up until today felt safe to eat inside. I do have immune system issues and do not trust many places but this is one place I have still felt safe enough to dine inside. Well that ended for me today. They are doing every other table but the table we sat down at was not wiped off, you could still see the grease and hand prints. Thankfully I carry my own wipes but that made me watch as other people ate and left and not once in the 40 minutes did I see a table get wiped or the seats.. All they did were clear the dishes. I'm really bummed because I love their food but when COVID is as bad as it is at this time then they should be more on top of things. The two young girls stayed at the counter and laughed and giggled rather than cleaning and making sure it was safe for the next people. My first experience at Barro's in Maricopa, AZ. It's your standard Pizza Restaurant where you must order at the counter as you enter. A very limited selection on the wall mounted menu. As I walked to a table, there were kids running all over the place while not under their Parent's control. I met others here for a working dinner. I ordered cheese ravioli with meatballs. It arrived in a bowl covered in sauce with some garlic bread which was just ok. My total cost with a small soda was $9.86. While dinning, the kids were running and yelling. The crust to pizza ratio makes me feel extremely cheated. 75% of my pizza is literally always crust. Take three bites of the pizza and you're pretty much done because the rest is unseasoned crust....and this happens almost every time I order. Every time I get pizza here a lot of it ends up in the trash because it's mostly CRUUUUUUUST. It's a shame and a waste overall and I'm sure other people have experienced this. Since my first review we have been to Barro's multiple times and have to say it is the best pizza in Maricopa (which is not renowned for its restaurants - but does have more than its share of pizza joints). After walking out of Denny's last night due to poor service we went to Barro's. Immediately greeted at the door, order taken immediately and expertly and seated in probably 10 minutes. We were told that the pizza would take longer because they had so many orders in but we were willing to wait. We had mozzarella sticks while waiting and they were super good. We just moved to Maricopa. My wife and I spent all day unpacking and wanted to do something eash for dinner. We settled on Barro's Pizza and we were not disappointed. The delivery driver was quick and friendly, but most importantly the pizza was delicious! They didn't scrimp on anything perfect amount of cheese and toppings. I placed an order online and received an email confirmation with a 60 minute delivery time. After 1 1/2 hours, I called the store to see what was going on with my order. After I spoke with 2 different store employees and being placed on hold for 15 minutes, I asked to speak with the store manager. I was told that I must have ordered my pizza right before the computer changed to reflect an 1 1/2 delivery time. Really!?! After 2 hours, my order finally arrived after I was told it was already on its way. Hmmm... sounds like they dropped the ball and rushed to make my order. We went there for lunch, service first rate, fast friendly. Ordered an Italian sub and a lunch slice of pizza. Both orders were great, the sub was offered on white or wheat, chose the white, the meat, lettuce tomato plus red onions were great and tastey, they added a side of Italian dressing so I was able to use as little or much as I wanted. This place is normally one of my favorite pizza places in our little town of Maricopa, but today didn't cut it. I'm sure that has something to do with the fact that we ordered the pizza and wings around 20 minutes before they closed. But we did order ahead of time so there was room to actually make the food. The wings were good, if you discount the fact that the bbw sauce was just poured on top of them, and no wing was thoroughly coated with sauce. The pizza was much greasier than usual, a sign that they didn't bother get rid of some of the grease first. Poor food from a normally high quality restaurant, that is why this is getting 3 stars. Stopped by Barro's for dinner, and the ordering line was chaotic and slow. I couldn't tell who was waiting for their take out order or who hand't placed their order yet. We finally ordered Cheese Ravioli and Spaghetti and meat balls, with 2 glasses of wine. They eventually brought 1 glass of wine, and we reminded them we ordered 2. Eventually we had 2 glasses that were served in a Bud Light beer glass as they didn't have any clean wine glasses. They brought my ravioli and they were so tuff I had to use a knife to cut them, and they were still cold on the inside. Fortunately my wife's spaghetti and meat balls were ok. This is my first time eating at Barro's. We ordered wings and pizza. They were both delicious. But the service not so well. If you look at every workers face, they don't smile. It's like they do not want to be there. They are very dry tone when you talk to them. The restroom are very disgusting. So if you want to eat there.
