So this is the 1st time that we have ordered from Barrows. We were honestly tired of the greasy Pizza Hut snd wanted to give them a try. We ordered the extra large supreme. The taste was very good..... But the crust could have been cooked a little longer. It needed a lot more ingredients on the top. What there was was good... Just very sparse. I am on the fence as to whether I will try them again or go back to Pizza Hut. read more

Worst borrows location ever called in for delivery place my order they told me 30 minutes to 45 minutes I show up 50 minutes later and they told me my food hasn't come out yet and said they're waiting on my week and I'll be out in four minutes to wait another 15 minutes with them and not even technology inclined mean I was and they said it just came out when I got my food my wings were cold and my pizza was cold I was very unsatisfied do not recommend coming here I wish I can get less than one star!!!!!!! read more

We are here the second time. My gluten free pizza is amazing. The kids meal is great, especially the price. Again, the staff was nice and they kept the place clean. We had our peace in our booth and we love the play area for the kids. read more

Ordered a gluten free spicy south west. After eating, I spent most of my night in the bathroom. The next morning I went to the garbage tote, to discover my pizza didn't have the gluten free sticker on it. I was charged for a gluten free, but stomach pain and 4 hours in the bathroom say I received a standard pizza. read more

AAAAA++++ Customer service, my girlfriend and I stopped in on our way out of town and I tell you what, the customer service was outstanding and we noticed an extremely hard working young lady named Ashley well she said she was the second Ashley because there was two Ashley's. Back up to 5 stars, our last few experiences have been good ones. The pizza is consistently fantastic, just the service that varies a bit. I chalk it up to new employees learning the ropes. Ordered at 6:27, called at 7:30 and was told that when we ordered it said a 2 hour wait time -- online it said 60 mins. They say order is on its way but we know how that went last time. (7:44 and still not here) I don't get it, if it was a high volume city or a weekend I would understand. I usually love barros and I believe it was called a Hawaiian pizza that I ordered but it was described as having pineapple and teriyaki chicken. When I got home it was drenched in bbq sauce!! So disgusting, the bbq was literally dripping off every time I held it. Update: I gave this barros a 2nd try and nope. Chicken wings were still bloody and not fully cooked. I have never written a review, let alone a bad one. I've been in the industry a really long time and am just upset. We always come pick up our order because delivery is ALWAYS insane wait times. Tonight we ordered two things, a medium pizza and garlic bread. We live less than five minutes from the store. My fiancé got home and they gave him breadsticks and garlic bread, no pizza. We called to attempt to fix it and the girl on the phone said either he comes back to get the pizza "still sitting there" or we can wait an hour and fifteen minutes for our already made pizza, which is sitting there because YOU didn't check to get delivered five minutes to our home. I guess maybe it is a coaching opportunity, but someone should have brought the pizza to us. At the very least, a manager should have taken the call or been informed. read more

I feel like this joint has gone hill dramatically. When we moved to Maricopa in 2018, it was our ago to for pizza - hot and fresh and full of flavor. Now, following simple directions or actually cutting the pizza seems to be difficult. Last night we ordered delivery: Barro's special, a side of wings, and a small house salad. 1st tip: Please, please cut the pizza entirely. I had to go get my scissors out and make my own cuts. 2nd top: PLEASE don't put COLD ranch dipping sauce and celery sticks in with HOT wings. The ranch and celery were warm by the time it was delivered. Not good. 3rd tip: pack the wings differently. Maybe use the containers you use for salad? Maybe that won't work since they are hot items, but the sauce from the wings were all over the bag, side of the box and receipts. It was just sloppy and gross. Lastly, I specifically asked for the pizza to be baked well done. ZERO brown marks on the bottom. I picked up a piece and literally everything fell off. I can't help but feel like folks there don't really care much about anything. read more

This rating has dropped 3 stars. After 15 years of buying pizza from this location - I'm done. Several months back they changed the size of their pies by 1/3 (smaller, of course). Then last week I pick up two "large" pizzas and the crust, which I know from many, many years was either stale or has been changed to something that resembles play-dough. The toppings are shrinking, as well. Horrible! So disappointed! I rate two stars as the rest of the menu is adequate, location is comfortable, staff are good. Also, they finally made one change I requested for many years, they now place a divider between the pizza and the recycled box (who KNOWS where that box has been?) - But let others "enjoy" that. I have eaten at 3 other Barro's locations in the past multiple times as a regular and never had any issues (Tempe area). I'm a believer in giving many chances but this location is absolutely terrible. I have ordered from here 5 times now and they have always disappointed. We even tested it out by ordering 2 of the same exact pizza but one of them with light cheese and they still both were piled with the same mountain of cheese. We also tested by ordering 2 of the same pizza but one with regular order of pepperoni and the other with double pepperoni and they still failed by being identical. We even tested another time on ordering 2 identical pizzas one cooked regular and the other well done. The well done one ended up being even more doughy! This is hands down the worst location for Barro's and is definitely hurting the brand name. I really hope management will read this and train the team on consistency. I can't stress it enough that I'm a believer in multiple chances and would be willing to give a 6th chance to this location to improve! If they do I will give another honest review! I never had issues with none of the other locations. I hope the Maricopa Barro's team takes this into consideration and doesn't perceive it as someone just bashing because I do love Barro's but this location has hit a major speed bump for me. First time and most likely last time. First the good. Beer was cold. Now the bad. Not a nice friendly environment. Ordered at the counter and the girl was seeing how little she had to talk to us. I ordered 2 slices and it was delivered to my dirty booth on a small plate on top of each other with no silverware or napkins. The pizza was ok if you like the deep dish style. We also ordered wings which were over cooked. The atmosphere is not for me. The place needs a makeover. Was afraid to go to the bathroom. But finding out that this is typical of Maricopa with the exception being Ak Chin. read more

I really hate leaving a bad review at a place that I love to eat at, but I have been dealing with trying to receive a refund from back on August 23, 2020. Every week I call letting management know I have not received the refund and every week I have to explain again the situation. I have spoken to the asst. manager, Jacob, and the store manager, Mike, I have also sent an email with proof per management's request. I have not received a reply even though they say they'll call me back. This is a freaking hassle and very frustrating. Not once has anything been offered for all the trouble. read more

Aside from the booths needing an upgrade. We love coming here to eat pizza. The food is good. The staff is kind. We order take out often and they're usually pretty good on timing. There has been a few instances where they messed up on our order but they respond kindly and offer to exchange or give us a credit. Our go to are the wings. It pains me to write this review but i felt i needed to get the warning out. Barros has been our families go too for pizza for past 6 years, but after tonight no longer. I think some time last year Barros changed ownership but i could be wrong about that. We started to notice that the pizza was really greasy and this has been consistent for past few months. Tonight everything was terrible. The pizza was so greasy it was bleeding through the box, it was super flat, and overcooked and bland. The boneless wings were mostly batter and very bland; at least the breadsticks were good. I cant say for sure but i think a change in ingredients has really tanked the once fabulous pizza place. This will be our last trip to Barros, and it makes me sad to say that. read more

Well we finally decided to try Barro's and I can't say I was overly impressed. I will say that we will order pizza from them again but it will be taken home rather than eaten at the restaurant. The positive thing I will say about the facility is that the place is large and had plenty of seating, but it is loud and we had to fan off flies the entire time. The pizza was good with an abundance of toppings and the sauce was a bit above average. We liked the taste of the crust and we were happy to see that the pans kept the crust elevated a bit to keep it out of the grease created from the sausage. We would also would have enjoyed it a bit more if they provided table service ordering rather than counter ordering. read more
