I think the lunch specials are good, but unfortunately I haven't had the best service. I came in for the lunch special at 2:55, now granted I know it was my bad to come late but there was traffic... anyways I asked for two slices of cheese and was told there was no cheese option, they weren't gonna make more. She told me the options, but I I told them I'm vegetarian and I couldn't eat any of those. She stared back blankly and restated the same options. Every time I come in here the tables are dirty. There's always crumbs or trash on the seats whenever the tables appear to be clean. You feel disgusting and dirty just sitting down eating your pizza. I don't understand how you can take the trash away but never come back to wipe the tables down. read more

Love barros. However this location needs improvements. 50-70% of the time the pizza is messed up.. too much cheese (i didnt know this was even possible but it is) toppings that i didnt order etc.. Pinapple can ruin a pizza :( I ordered a specialty pizza from their menu with NO changes and they added a bunch of pineapple?!? Gross Emailed complaining and they never emailed back when i receieved a pizza badly damaged on delivery. This was the final straw. Many people ask me what's the best type of food, into them I say, probably French food. But some people miss hear me and I think I'm saying borrows pizza and that's OK because borrows pizza is pretty dang good. All you have to do is pick it up and it's hot. If it's not hot it's pretty gross but I've never really had that issue because I am responsible and I always pick up my pizza when it's hot. Usually I ordered pepperoni but sometimes I order something else and that's cool but pepperoni is really where it's at. You can order whatever you want and they will probably have the toppings because there a pretty big pizza place andI just have a feeling that they would be able to kind of make whatever pizza do you want to have. This location has all indoor seating and they also have some beers too and I highly recommend their hot sauce because it's really hot. read more

Food was good, service was mediocre, ambiance was nonexistent. Hadn't been to any Barro's for awhile but in the area of 27th ave and the 101 so decided to get a pizza. Girl taking order did fine but really had no personality. When choosing a table noticed that all booths by the window had crumbs from previous guests on the tables and seats. Asked to have one wiped. Same girl who took order came over and said there were other tables we could have chosen! She grudgingly wiped the table but did not touch the one next to it which was also dirty. Pizza came out promptly and was very good. Salad we had ordered was also good. While eating we noticed a tall lanky guy moving slowly around picking up dirty dishes left on two tables near us. He did not bother to wipe either table. In spite of decent food at a fair price would not eat there again since we assume the inattention to cleanliness in the dining room is probably the same in the kitchen. read more

I go to Indian school location a lot. Very hit or miss depending on time of day(I'm sure different chefs at times). They usually load their pizza with cheese so I always say light cheese and well done because they'll cook it for 10 min. Overall 7.5/10 until this last trip. Simple pizza like pepperoni and sausage. Wasn't cut, so crumbly and mooshy and greasy in the middle that when you picked it up, it would come apart at the crust. The whole pizza. Literally not edible and so very oily and greasy at the bottom. Will not go here again ever read more

Barros is the go to place when you don't want cheap Dominos, but don't feel like spending on Spinatos. It's a great middle ground of good quality with still pretty good prices. read more

I waited over 80 minutes for 12 wings and a 2 liter of soda because it was "raining" and the streets were flooded which is crap. My online receipt said 60 minutes when I called Barros a guy named Tom told me is it was 75. I waited ten more minutes and Me. Delivery guy didn't show. I called back and wanted a refund- why wait so long for 12 wings?? Tom said ok no apology or can we do whatever to correct this. I'm sorry your driver sucks Tom but this is ridiculous. I love there food but their customer service is shit. No one should have to wait almost two hours for food. Barros never refunded my order that I did not receive. Had to dispute with bank. read more

When I placed my order over the I was quoted approximately $75.00 for 2 extra large pizzas and 48 wings and I honestly thought they had added wrong, when I got there the lady said it was $72.00 when I asked why so much she said that they always charge $3.00 more for traditional wings, in all the years I'd been going I had never been told or charged that much, the cashier asked me if wanted the manager to explain it to me again, I'm not stupid, I don't need someone else to explain it to me, needless to say, we're not going back and I'll gladly go out of my way to detour others from going. read more

There's not a whole lot to say other than Barro's freakin rocks! Always fast and friendly service. Affordable prices for quality pizza, subs, salads, pastas and anti pasti sides. We were so super happy when they opened the Arcadia location. Previously we drove out of the way but since the pizza was so delicious, we didn't mind the drive. The crust is thick and has a nice crunch on the edges. The sauce is flavorful and tastes fresh. Always plenty of ooey gooey cheese. Can't go wrong there! read more

We order a xlarge pizza but had no flavor ..we haved had in the past pizza from different places ..but to be honest it was to plain ..

Was hungry and had some time to kill. It had been a while since I had pizza. Went to this place and the kid, (young man), behind the counter was less than helpful and even less interested in doing his job. I ordered a ham and pineapple personal size pizza with a salad and a beer. he gave me my beer and I went to find a place to sit. It all went down hill from there. ALL of the tables and booths were dirty, food stuck to the tables, crumbs from the previous meals all over the tables chairs and floor. It looked like it hadn't been swept for days. The place was a mess. Then another kid, (young woman), brought me my salad. She put it down and politely mentioned that my pizza would be ready soon. No fork, no napkin. Was I missing something? I got up and looked for a self service napkin/cutlery station. None to be found. So I went to the counter and the first kid was too busy with his phone to notice that I was there. So I asked the second kid if I colud have a fork to eat my salad with. She gave me a plastic wrapped fork. OK. Went back to eat my salad, then my pizza arrived. Still no napkins. I finished my food and went to the filthy restroom to wash my hands. I spoke to the manager and he apologised. The food was good. Restaurant was BAD!!!! I will not return. read more

Second time they've failed me. Was so excited one opened up in my neighborhood but not so much. Twice both carryout and delivery my order was wrong. Extra sauce means no sauce and extra crispy mean barely done. I've been eating at the thunderbird location for 15 years never had an issue but both times they screwed it up here. When I came for carryout I watched employees dancing with each other while food sat on window, saw one girl grab a pizza , with cheese hanging off the side, take it to a table as toppings and cheese were dropping on the floor. Stopped here to get dinner for the family. I've had it once before and it was okay but this is what my family wanted. The cashier was very nice and explained the menu and deals to me. I got two large pizzas and asked if they could cook it for an extra two minutes. And it came out very tasty! Last time it had way to much sauce but cooking it extra made it better. Definitely will be back for pizza again. Remember pizza 2 extra mins in the oven makes it crispy and the wings cooked one and a half times is ughhh so good! Great I made myself hungry!! read more

The service was terrible walked in and got a cold shoulder from an employee. Ordering was rough the person was rude and distant. When the food was brought to the table it was tossed down and I put quote "Here you go" I had to get my daughter her own plate and was glared at the entire time. 4 stars but heading downward. It would have been 5 stars after our first encounter. We loved it from the first time we tried it. Their pizza has a flavor that is missing from most pizza places. We get the thin crust with double sausage and green peppers. The crust toward the middle of the pizza is usually a little soggy and toppings in that part slide off. Last time the entire crust was soggy, not even half cooked much less browned and it was cut like a little kid had grabbed the cutting wheel and just jabbed at it all over. No pieces cut all the way through and the cuts were different spaces and even overlapping. The flavor was still good but the crust was terrible and it was murder to try and eat. read more

This new location is true to the Barros pizza tradition! Super clean and same decor as other locations in the valley. I've been a fan of their doughy crust and zesty sauce for years now and finally one opened in my neighborhood. The staff is friendly too. I stopped by for a slice at lunchtime and it was quick and ready. Since it just opened, it wasn't busy at all. My only complaint is that the pizza seemed it maybe was sitting there for a while...because it wasn't that busy. Oh would be better if they had coke products. Overall a good experience and they'll probably get better with time. We'll be back! read more

Coming from the West side of Phoenix, I've grown up on Barro's pizza so I absolutely love them. However, this specific store isn't super amazing like the others. It's probably just because they are new but some of the employees aren't very attentive and the first pizza we tried here was pretty weak. We gave it another try the week after and it came out SOOO much better! Delivery is fast and worth the first not so great pizza! read more

This has GOT to be, by far, my favorite pizza. I discovered Barro's roughly a year ago when my company, Leslie's Pools, brought it in for lunch. Let me start by saying I LOVE BARRO'S! I go to their Indian Bend location at least once a week for lunch. We were craving pizza for dinner so decided to make a trip to the Indian School location, as it is closest to our house. Mistake. Big mistake. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly rude. Almost bizarrely rude. When we asked the girls at the front for something, which was only twice, they rolled their eyes and acted like we were inconveniencing them. They were clearly very young, and I understand this might be a first job for them, but it was truly awful. If you can avoid this location and hit the other spots, do it! Very disappointed in the complete and utter lack of customer service. read more
