The sandwich bread comes from up Fresno I believe. I had to ask because of how soft the sourdough bread is. They bake the bread to ensure it is fresh and soft. I also opted in for macaroni salad which was surprisingly delicious. The macaroni was firm and the dressing and overall dish was nice and cold. I appreciate a good sandwich that isn't salty, and this Rattler was a perfect balance of bread down to the lettuce and sauce. Surprised this is my first time seeing this place. The brownie was the one item that didn't impress us, but everything else was delicious and tasted fresh. One thing to be aware of is parking. The lot is quite small, and both we and several other customers ended up parking across the street. It's not necessarily something the business can control, but it's worth mentioning if you're visiting during a busy time. The fact that this shop has been around for decades says a lot about the quality and loyal customer base they've built over the years. I'd always heard great things about Barro's. Indeed the pizza was excellent BUT the service was not so hot. On my phone in order I was on hold for 4 minutes so I actually started driving to the store. When I pleasantly asked if perhaps they could throw an extra item on for free I was then referred to the manager. I asked him the same question but didn't really get an answer from him. I was treated rather abruptly by the staff as I entered. And no, I did not get an item thrown in for free. Ah, good customer service - apparently a thing from the past - at least for this store. Whoever came up with the idea to get rid of delivery and outsource deliveries through DoorDash.. you just completely ruined the brand. More expensive, less options, an influx of incorrect orders. I seriously want to know who came up with this idea.. I will NEVER order delivery again now that they've partnered up with DoorDash; the worst delivery company to ever exist. What an absolute joke. When we called back they said you had to specify cheese on your order! All I ever get here is an extra large cheese pizza and it never has disappointed. I call it in each time and when I arrive 20 minutes later my freshly made pizza is always waiting for me. The staff here are always personable and never had an unpleasant experience with them. The few times I have had them deliver to me they always meet their time expectancy. Dining in is also great if you have a large party since they have a room specialized for just that. read more

One of the best white pizzas you can get in Phoenix. The cheeses are delicious. I've been told the bigger chains don't carry it because it's too expensive, but if that's true, Barros is quite fair, as they're less than Papa Johns on average. Their salads are also very good, although they're WAY overpriced... just go to a grocery store and get the ingredients for 10 salads! They aren't a salad place though so I won't pick on that too much. Great pizza. read more

We visit the Phoenix regularly and stay with friends in The Moon Valley area. Every trip we inevitably pickup pizza and wings from this location and they always deliver. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and the pizza and wings are always on spot. The pizza is a perfect mix of thin and pan crust and the wings come lathered in sauce. Plus, for the quality and quantity, the food is very reasonably priced. read more
