Food was good. Service can be improved by a solid leader. Heather was an absolute worker and should be leading the team. She didn't speak a word of gossip just locked in making multiple items and very sweet when talking to customers. Best worker in the building other than the guy locked in the fridge cutting onions. I was immediately greeted when I entered the restaurant. Everyone behind the counter was very nice and offering to help. The restaurant was clean and pleasant as well. My wife was at home sick and really wanted the chicken noodle soup. I picked up a quart along with some everything bagels and egg salad. When I brought it home my wife exclaimed "Everything is so delicious!" That's enough for me. Way to go staff!! read more

The food at Barry Bagels is always pretty solid and consistent. My problem is with the service and the ambiance. Today I waited in line for about 20 minutes to get a sandwich. No biggie if they were busy, but The service is incredibly slow. While I was waiting today I noticed an employee making food for someone standing behind the counter who was not in uniform. It was pretty annoying watching the uniformed employee bothering the other employees who were waiting on the line. He stopped the female employee waiting on me to help him find the milk for his own personal coffee. The gentleman with him behind the counter stood there eating and drinking where they were preparing food for others. I'm pretty sure that's a big no no with the health department. After the long wait, I was given the wrong meat because the bin was mislabeled and had to wait again for it to be remade. The interior is showing its age. The laminate flooring they used to cover the walls is literally falling off. The tables have paper from napkins decoupaged to the tops from the stickiness. I walked in and there was a lady in front on me waiting for service. A couple at the register waiting for their order. Stood there for about 2 minutes watching the employees working. Not one of them lifted their heads or made any eye contact with any of the customers. About 2 minutes in the lady in front of me turned and said "I changed my mind" and left. I waited another 5 minutes with no eye contact or acknowledgement that I was in the building and decided that I also changed my mind. Sad that customer service has taken such a nose dive. Decent bagels, soups and sandwiches. My issues is, especially at this location, the customer service is horrible. I'm not sure if the staff was even trained. Usually there are teens making the food, with no supervision whatsoever. Today I ordered matzo ball soup with no noodle, just broth. The young lady (she was on her 50s at least) specifics asked if I "wanted the broth the soup sits in?" I confirmed that I did. Somehow in this 3 seconds it took to walk away from me, she gave me hot water and a matzo ball. This has happened about 5 different times at this location only. Other times I add bacon to my sandwich only for the server to completely forget to get the bacon from the microwave. Service is always terrible. Nobody knows what's going on. The bagels are inconsistent. Some are undercooked and some are overcooked. I give those to the birds. Everything bagels, at times, come with nothing on them. They close too early (probably because they are losing customers). I don't blame the kids working there. This is a management problem. I live very close to the Lambertville location, but because I love their bagels so much that I drive way out of my way to the Sylvania location to buy them now. Barry's doesn't realize how poorly they treat their long time committed customers, or they just don't care. The Lambertville store is a wasted opportunity. It could be great. Barry bagels has always been a staple in my life. I love all their locations but sadly something bad happened here. Last couple times I went to this one they have about 7 to 9 teenagers in the back talking messing around and nobody upfront. I couldn't get anyone's attention in-till I was leaving with nothing (twice now) It's not even the children's fault who are running the store. They are only Children. I don't even know if they have anybody above 18 working here. Seams like they all needed a doctors note to miss school today to come into work. read more

Came here with my friend, we both ordered a bagel with cream cheese and my bagel was great! However, my friend received her bagel and there was barely any cream cheese on it not even covering half. As we ordered, employee drama was being discussed right in front of us. By all means it wasn't the whole staff here, but wish the employees were more consistent in what they made for customers and did not interrupt customers ordering with talking to their coworkers. read more

The food was exactly as ordered. Customer service was okay, but I don't blame them based on the conditions of the restaurant. We went in the restaurant, it was 94 degrees outside, and it was just as hot inside the restaurant as it was outside. Even more stuffy inside than outside though due to there being not a single fan in the restaurant. I have absolutely no respect for a manager that forces their workers to work in these conditions, with no help/something to alleviate the bad conditions. I usually go to the Barry's in Sylvania but I stopped in Lambertville because it's close to my house. I get a bakers dozen and 1 lb of cream cheese... and ask for one to be toasted with cream cheese. This location would not do this for me. I could see if they are busy but they weren't!! I was the only person in line. It makes so sense why this can't be done!! Not happy.. Sylvania location does this for me and they are always busy! It's not like I'm asking for anything free.. Stopped by for lunch on our way to northern Michigan and really enjoyed our experience. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. Employees were very friendly and attentive. My husband got a chicken salad on everything bagel and I got a roasted turkey on sesame. Both were delicious! read more

Extremely slow. Even after asking what you want multiple times your food will still be wrong. I've gotten the wrong food here multiple times even when being the only customer inside the shop. Employees are always rude and never pay attention when you order. What's better than getting messed up food and having someone be rude to you in the process? They always send you down to the register so you can't watch them make your food. Maybe if you watched it wouldn't always be wrong. They often run out of bagels and you can't even get what you've gone in for. The Barry's in Toledo are 10000 times better than this one and you won't get your food messed up. The bagels are so much better at the Toledo stores. Always check your food before you leave. read more

This is the first time me and my husband have ever been to Barry's Bagels. Well we walked in and the girl working there just stared at us after a minute or two I said that I have a coupon for a eggel and a cream cheese bagel. Well she just gave us a look and said what do you want on it, of which I didn't know you could choose. So I said what can I choose and then she said your bagel, meat and cheese. And I said oh I didn't know you could do that with a coupon we have never been here before, well she snicked at us like we were dumb. So I said what kinds do you have and she says that their on the menu above. So the way the menu is set up it's for anytime of day and the choices are not really together. But their bagels are really good. I just wish their staff was more friendly, then I'd actually want to go back. read more
