We had been looking for a particular model of used RV and found it on line at Barry's. My husband called them up and they were more than happy to send pictures and a full description. We arranged to come see it and they had it ready to test drive when we got there. The salesman even came in on his day off to help. The only misgiving we had was some fading on the paint. They asked us to give them a chance to clean it up. They worked hard at rehabbing the paint and got it looking great. So we drove back to Bakersfield. Again everything ready to go when we got there. The paint met our needs. We worked out the financial deal easily. Then they gave us a thorough orientation and we were on our way. Now if we could just find an RV dealer like Barry's closer to home who we could trust to service our new rig, it would be perfect. read more

We recently decided to open a new chapter in our lives and start trailer camping. We have lots of family and friends that own everything from tent trailers to big motor homes, so we are pretty familiar with everything. After looking at used trailers for months, then going to several dealerships in other towns, we went to Barry's. Our salesman, Matt, was the best informed, helpful, low-pressure representative we encountered anywhere. He guided us to the right size trailers that would meet our needs and we would feel comfortable towing. He really listened, understood our concerns, and helped us do informed, fact-based comparisons. It took two trips to the dealership and three phone calls to Matt, but when we finalized our decision, we were confident it was right. On delivery day, Roman went over every operating feature carefully and thoroughly. The guys in the office were friendly, courteous, and down-right entertaining! Then, finally, a sit-down with Barry to finalize everything. He made sure we were confident in our decision, every detail of the contract and warranty was discussed, and paperwork was efficiently taken care of. Best of all, everyone gave us their own camping tips and advice and favorite places to go and stay. We're in the process of organizing our little house on wheels and having a lot of fun with that. Next week, we're setting out on our maiden voyage. Obviously, there will be little bugs to work out, but if our first trip is as easy as the purchase process, we're going to have a blast! read more

Was Highly Disappointed! My wife and I looking to purchase our first RV. We had decided to go with a dealership instead of private seller to avoid a lot of problems. We looked at several other dealerships and this one was on our list. We ended up looking at a used RV, The salesman Mark was very helpful. He showed us all the ins and outs, functions and even issues with the RV, he even said they would take care of all the problems... The RV was actually in decent condition for being 10 yrs. old. So we test drove it and finally decided to put a deposit down and apply for it (this was on a Sat.). Come Thursday I decided to call since we hadn't heard from them. Talked to Mark and found out we had been denied! Nobody had bothered to contact us to let us know... Initially Mark had told us that their financing office was one of the best and would do whatever it takes to get us into the RV. We had agreed to all their financing terms... My wife ended up going there to retrieve the down payment (I wasn't able to go) and she said they acted like they didn't want anything to do with her. She said they seemed rude, insensitive and lacking service now that we had been denied financing. It seems to us that they didn't bother to exhaust all the avenues to make this happen since we have financed several houses, cars and motorcycles in the past without a problem... Have always not been to fond of salesman (And Mark, like most others, was obviously telling us what we wanted to hear in order to make the sale) This just proved my point once again.Definitely won't return nor refer anyone to this dealership! read more

I'm finding Barry's RV to be kind of a joke. After seeing repeated TV ads about them wanting to buy used RV's and "guaranteeing" 3 bids within a week I decided to contact them about the 5th wheel we wanted to sell. Step 1 was to complete the form found on their website and waited for the call they said I would get. After a full week and no call, I decided to call them. I went back to the page where I found the form and called the number listed only to find it had been disconnected. So much for their web prowess. I then looked up and found another number and called them. I was told that there were no buyers available at that moment but someone would call back soon. Now after 5 days and no call, I've pretty much written off Barry's RV. So much for the 3 bids in a week. read more
