Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and attentive staff. This was my first time here and it will most definitely not be my last. I came with 2 friends and we sat outside on the patio area. They were accommodating and although the bigger tables were taken up, they just pulled a chair up to a small outside table for us. Our server was great and super friendly, and made the visit very enjoyable. At bartaco, the concept is a little different from other restaurants. The menu is a piece of paper that has been folded, but super cute and convenient. With ordering, you all order on one piece of paper, and you place it on a stand and this allows servers to walk by to know you're ready. It's a good concept and the servers are attentive. Between the 3 of us, we ordered the house margaritas and the sangria. The sangria seemed a little water down to me but it was still tasty. The house margarita was great and I would highly recommend it. We also ordered the salsa verde and guacamole for an appetizer. Both were tasty, but I wasn't too big of a fan of their chips. The chips are like hard shell tacos in my opinion. For the main course we ordered the pork belly, sesame seed ribeye, portobello mushroom, wild boar, and falafel tacos. My favorite hands down was pork belly. It was carmalized and sweet and it was fantastic. We ordered 2 extra after we finished it. I also got the side of corn but off the cobb and with the queso fresco. It was good but noting phenomenal. Overall I enjoyed bartaco and their cute concepts, and nice plus Attentive staff. The host seated us immediately and the servers were friendly and attentive. Came here hungry and over ordered for two people but everything was so delicious! Now for food: I tried the Sesame Ribeye, Pork Belly, and Duck taco. If you're going to get the tacos I highly recommend the Pork Belly and Duck taco. The tacos are small but are packed with flavor. I would order around 3 + app if you're hungry. The menu is full of tapas-style entrees so my friend and I decided to order the mushroom mole tamale, guacamole, and ceviche. My friend is a pescatarian and really enjoyed the tamale and I really liked the ceviche. The ceviche was fresh and served with 3 large circle sized tortilla chips. I love this location because parking is not an issue & it is super convenient. It is hip and trendy. Outdoor and inside seating is available. It is a little loud, but I love the atmosphere. The best part is that you write your orders on a sheet of paper and place it on the clip. It is so convenient. I had a mojito here. It was not the best mojito I've had, but it gets the job done. Bartaco has a really trendy/hip feel especially for a taco place. I loved the vibe of the establishment as soon as I walked in. I went with a couple friends on a Saturday evening for dinner, but we were seated immediately. They have a giant parking lot for the whole complex, so finding a spot is not a problem at all. I started off the meal with plantains, which were awesome. I personally haven't had bad plantains before, but the sauce it came with made it even better. I ordered the ribeye, baja fish, and shrimp banh mi tacos. The waiter did tell me that their tacos were on the smaller size, but he was not exaggerating at all. Each taco is probably a few bites, so if you're hungry you might want to get 4-5 tacos. The ribeye was great as the meat was so well-seasoned and flavorful. The baja fish was good but not the best fish tacos I've had. I wasn't a big fan of the banh mi tacos. The flavor was a little lacking and the taco itself was just missing something. I ended up dousing it in the salsas they have at each table. Overall, service is great and the food is alright but nothing amazing. I was a little disappointed after reading all the other reviews. I guess it's a good place to get a quick bite to eat with friends. Their cocktail menu did look very interesting and worth a try though. read more

I love it...As someone with Celiac Disease, there aren't a lot of options for "safe" restaurants with really good food, so finding Bartaco was a God-Send! The food is scrumptious and I let them know I have Celiac and they are careful with the food prep...I've never gotten sick from eating here. The quality of the food has been on point and the staff has been fantastic. They used to have a drink on the menu that is no longer available. This was my first time eating at this location and it did not disappoint ( and I admit the location in Midtown was also good, but it lacked a good amount of parking).This location had plenty of parking because it is located in a large shopping plaza. Also, even though we went on a busy Saturday night they seated us quickly. * Please note, and we did find out by reading the reviews prior to coming,they only take cards. This is a no cash establishment. Our waiter Will greeted us immediately and was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Bartaco is more of a tapas (Small plate) restaurant so be ready to share and try many of their delicious offerings. I ordered the Plantains and four tacos ( the crispy rock shrimp, glazed pork belly, sesame ribeye, and roasted duck) and yes it was all delicious! We also shared the chopped salad and the trio (guacamole and two delicious salsas) and I admit I was completely full and satisfied with the variety and succulent flavors of all their dishes! This will be a new favorite restaurant that I will bookmark for my future dinning experiences! Bought the family meal tonight, chicken, tuna, cucumber salad, and corn. Every single dish was so spicy that it became inedible. Could not taste the food due to over seasoned with heat and salt. Over $100 spent and food in trash. Warmed up frozen dinner instead. Menu online did not indicate any level of spice. I like some spice but this was just horrible. Worst, blatantly racist treatment that I have received at a restaurant in a very long time. I didn't see an option for zero stars. Wife and 5 year-old son took me here for Father's Day. Restaurant was approx 25% full. Hostess first sat us in the corner by the bathroom and serving station. Asked her if we could sit somewhere else, and she moved us to another table with a great view of, you guessed it, the other serving station. We just walked out. Awful. It's 2018 and some people still believe that minorities should be segregated and given the worst. We were the only family they sat on that side of the restaurant. Loved this place. First time visit here last night (11/27/2015) and was extremely pleased. Met a large group for a birthday party. The service was amazing, I showed up a tad late and was still able to eat and drink with everyone else. The tacos are fresh tasting, spiced right, and very flavorful. My whiskey drink wasn't empty for more then 5 minutes and at the end of the bill, our waiter already had the checks split per person. Had a group of friends come here for a birthday/going away party. I really enjoy the concept- it's nice to be able to socialize and not be disturbed unless I put my "dragonfly" up. The food is delicious I love being able to have vegetarian options. The drinks sometimes can take a second but then you get them and realize it's because everything is fresh-squeezed=heaven. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. Bartaco has a great laid-back atmosphere with a large patio and a cool ambiance inside. Drinks: They have a variety of cocktails and some craft beer options, but I stuck with a margarita on the rocks which was fantastic. Everything is freshly squeezed in house, so drinks can take a little while but it was worth it for the margarita. Drink prices seem a little high. Food: I'm glad I went with the bartenders taco recommendations of pork belly and mahi mahi. Both were very good. At $2.50 or $3.50 a taco depending on what you choose, they are very affordable even though they are tiny The chips and salsa verde that I started with was a little disappointing. The chips tasted stale both times I've been, but the salsa verde is good. Service: My service has been top notch. Very friendly and personable. Overall: A great option in the Buckhead area.
