    Delicious cocktail.

Was visiting Stamford and stopped by for a drink while waiting for some friends. The cocktail was great, service and location of the restaurant are excellent. Didn't try their food at this location but it's usually delicious.

Dishes are hit or miss. Some things well-seasoned and others - like their Asian fusion attempts - are not great. Honestly the hype of the place always works against bartaco in my opinion. It didn't help that service was inconsistent. They tell you about their put up the card system for service but then don't actually follow it. Takes a while to get someone's attention and get a drink. Maybe will give bartaco a try again but not anytime soon.

I tried the lobster street corn (seasonal) pretty good, ceviche was spicy for me, guac was good. Also tried the Oaxaca cheese sticks and they tasted like mozz cheese sticks so they were just ok. Overall good Mexican food with authentic spices. I visited on a Saturday evening and like most restaurants on summer street music was kind of loud but good ambiance.

We came on a Friday night and were told it was a 20 min wait for a table, which was no problem. Unfortunately, it took over an hour for a table to open up. Luckily, we got some seats at the bar in the meantime when they cleared up. The drinks were flavorful and had a kick. I loved the guava margarita. We ordered our food as soon as we got a table and waited about 10 minutes for the apps to come out and a half hour for main courses to come out. The vibe is loud and trendy.

Came here for dinner and had a pleasant experience. You order via QR code rather through a waiter which I thought was interesting. I would recommend 3-4 tacos per person as you probably can get 2-3 bites out of each taco. The food itself was decent with some good flavors. A little light on the meat though. The service was overall decent. The only qualm I had was I didn't get one of the tacos I ordered and asked for a refill on chips and it took forever to get despite asking multiple times (the place wasn't that busy). The place is nice and modern with decent amount of seating. Other than that, it was positive. Would return.

Been here a few times and had delivery to my job in Stamford hospital over the past few years. Most recently came with some coworkers for drinks after work. I'm happy the construction is finally over and the strip outside for outside dinning looks great. This place never disappoints.

Tacos : Shrimp, chicken, pork belly, & spiced chicken.

The food was full of flavor, and the service was great. The only surprise was the appetizer portion--it was much smaller than expected, even smaller than a typical kid's side. Had we known, we probably would've just gone with the tacos. That said, the ambiance was fantastic, and the place filled up quickly, which speaks to its popularity!

Awesome spot for happy hour and late night happy hour in Stamford. Drinks are made with fresh squeezed juice and there are a lot of small bite options. The staff especially David provide the best hospitality.

Man if you want a place to kick back and let your hair down and good vibes this is it! Great food small portions but worth your time. It's my new nightlife eatery. The DJ was pumping great music and such a great diversity of sounds that everyone vibes to!

This place never disappoints. I wish I had one in my town. I always have the Chorizo and pork belly tacos. The pork belly had such a beautiful crisp. The chorizo was juicy and flavorful. I also had a nice mojito, Mexican corn and pineapple. It was a girl's perfect night

Expected an average taco experience during our first time at this well known chain. Food was creative and delicious. Home run.

Pork Belly Taco, Chorizo Taco, and Sesame Ribeye Taco
    Mariana G.

I love bartaco! The portions are small and the prices are a bit expensive, but I keep coming back because the food is so good. My favorite taco is the pork belly ($3.95) -- braised pork belly caramelized in a sweet arbol chile glaze, topped with cilantro and pickled red onions. It's a crowd pleaser! I also really like the sesame ribeye taco ($3.95) -- ribeye beef marinated in a sweet sesame-soy sauce, topped with spicy kimchi and cilantro. Finally, an honorable mention goes to the chorizo taco ($2.95) -- Argentinian style spiced and seared ground pork finished with sweet onion, fresh cilantro and a smoky red chimichurri sauce. Besides tacos, their ceviche ($9.50) is great -- shrimp and cod tossed with fresh chiles, diced tomato and avocado in a bright citrus marinade, topped with cilantro, red onion and cayenne. But the one thing you must try (other than the pork belly tacos) is the tres leches dessert ($7) -- vanilla sponge cake soaked in three milks, topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce and toasted coconut. As opposed to other tres leches cakes that are served on a plate, this one comes in a jar, so the cake doesn't lose any of its moisture. It was incredibly delicious.

The three sauces. Jalapeño was tangy. Roja was mildy spicy. Habanero had spice.
    Cindy J.

I ordered the ahi taco rice bowl. It was super delicious. The brown rice and sweet peppers gave it a healthy taste. Not bad. They all go together. The ahi tuna was shimmering. It was very good. I like my food saucy. I added the table sauces to my dish as I ate each bite. Out of the three sauces, my favorite was the jalapeño - it was tangy. Not too spicy. The Roja was my second choice. The habanero was a bit too spicy for me. I got spoiled from Rivera Maya (a block away) because they gave complimentary chips and salsa. Bartaco didn't need to but it would've been nice to have a small complimentary side. Again, I was spoiled

Hey Annie unfortunately we do not have a happy hour at the moment. We do have margarita March going as we speak where we feature a different margarita each week during the entire month of march. One of my favorites started today, the verde cooler :))

Growing up in a Mexican heritage household, Coronado was raised on traditional made-from-scratch dishes that are commonly found in Northern and Central Mexico. Eventually she decided to open up her own restaurant at Stamford's High Ridge Shopping Center. For over 30 years, Olé Molé has been offering consumers authentic Mexican cuisine crafted with consistent quality and fresh ingredients. The menu offers traditional staples such as enchiladas, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, tacos, tamales, and tostadas. At one point, Olé Molé had additional locations in the nearby towns of Darien, Southport, and Fairfield, but they have since closed. My wife and I recently had lunch at Olé Molé. She is a Stamford native and has eaten here multiple times, but it was the first visit for me. We met up with my wife's parents. The interior is cozy and inviting. Margaritas sounded like a great way to get the fiesta started. I had the "Margarita Olé" (tequila blanco, fresh lime juice, triple sec, agave), my wife had "Mango" (tequila blanco, fresh lime juice, triple sec, agave, mango puree), and my mother-in-law had "Strawberry" (tequila blanco, fresh lime juice, triple sec, agave, strawberry puree). They were just what the doctor ordered! We also ordered some delicious "Guacamole" (fresh Hass avocado, jalapeño, onion, garlic & cilantro w/ chips) for the table. For entrees, I had the "Quesadilla Del Mar" (grilled shrimp, sliced avocado, spinach, tomato, grilled onion, Monterey Jack), my wife had the "Grilled Shrimp Fajitas" (grilled w/ peppers & onion, served w/ guacamole), my father-in-law had the "Vegetariano Burrito" (vegetables, beans & cheese w/ salsa fresca), and my mother-in-law had the "Enchiladas Suizas" (shredded chicken, vegetables & cheese in red corn tortillas, topped w/ salsa verde & mole negro). Everything tasted so fresh, flavorful, and authentic! The staff were lovely too! I had an excellent experience at Olé Molé and I would love to enjoy their Mexican food again soon!

Generously sized and well priced, good looking tacos. I enjoyed them with one exception. In NorCal, I am used to, crispy, browned carnitas. On the east coast, it's more like just "fatty mushy pork with occasional pieces of cartilage" :P I think this place is fine as long as you're not a carnitas snob like me. Review for El Torito - Stamford, CT…read more So there I was on a blazing Monday afternoon, car in the shop, stomach growling like a telenovela villain--and El Torito just happened to be down the block, calling my name like a tortilla whisperer. From the outside, it's humble. Picnic tables chillin' under the trees like they're on siesta. Step inside, and it's got that cozy, no-frills, straight-up neighborhood vibe. A handful of tables, a big ol' fan, because air conditioning? Not today. And a TV on the wall pumping out reggaetón to keep things spicy. The place had a steady stream of locals rolling in for takeout, which is always a good sign in my book. The menu? A glorious cross-cultural Latin American mixtape. Mexican, Salvadoran, maybe even some Peruvian influence--it's like taking your taste buds on a backpacking trip without the altitude sickness. Bonus points for menu photos so you don't end up accidentally ordering goat brain stew (unless that's your thing). I ordered up the carne asada and a cold Coke, then sat back and let the meat magic happen. A few scrolls into my phone, my plate arrived - and Ay Güey, it was a vision. Grilled steak, marinated to perfection, lounging on a soft bed of Mexican rice, crowned with whole grilled green onions like a steak tiara. A side of creamy pinto beans, fresh tortillas, and two salsas: one a chunky pico de gallo(well, sort of), the other a smooth firewater(mild). And let me tell you - I devoured it. That carne asada didn't stand a chance. The meat was tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The rice was fluffy, the beans velvety, and everything was hot and fresh. No bite left behind. Paid at the counter with a smile on my face and carne-ful soul. El Torito isn't trying to impress you with bells and whistles--it's just bringing the heat with real-deal Latin American flavor, honest portions, and friendly vibes. Come hungry. Leave happy. Maybe a little sweaty.
