Pistachio cauliflower taco and chili lime shrimp taco with an agua Fresca in the back
    Kat Y.

The food was excellent. I had the chips with verde, Roja, and guacamole. I had the cauliflower taco which was delightful, the chili lime shrimp was a bit overcooked, the shrimp was chewy. I was traveling for work, so I sat by myself at the bar. I noticed the bartender asked me for a card to open my tab, but he did not ask the other patrons. I thought that was a bit odd. The bartender was definitely very busy and could have used a bit more help. Overall, it was a good experience, I will be back when I travel for work.

Was visiting Stamford and stopped by for a drink while waiting for some friends. The cocktail was great, service and location of the restaurant are excellent. Didn't try their food at this location but it's usually delicious.

Dishes are hit or miss. Some things well-seasoned and others - like their Asian fusion attempts - are not great. Honestly the hype of the place always works against bartaco in my opinion. It didn't help that service was inconsistent. They tell you about their put up the card system for service but then don't actually follow it. Takes a while to get someone's attention and get a drink. Maybe will give bartaco a try again but not anytime soon.

I tried the lobster street corn (seasonal) pretty good, ceviche was spicy for me, guac was good. Also tried the Oaxaca cheese sticks and they tasted like mozz cheese sticks so they were just ok. Overall good Mexican food with authentic spices. I visited on a Saturday evening and like most restaurants on summer street music was kind of loud but good ambiance.

    Guava margarita and lime margarita

We came on a Friday night and were told it was a 20 min wait for a table, which was no problem. Unfortunately, it took over an hour for a table to open up. Luckily, we got some seats at the bar in the meantime when they cleared up. The drinks were flavorful and had a kick. I loved the guava margarita. We ordered our food as soon as we got a table and waited about 10 minutes for the apps to come out and a half hour for main courses to come out. The vibe is loud and trendy.

Came here for dinner and had a pleasant experience. You order via QR code rather through a waiter which I thought was interesting. I would recommend 3-4 tacos per person as you probably can get 2-3 bites out of each taco. The food itself was decent with some good flavors. A little light on the meat though. The service was overall decent. The only qualm I had was I didn't get one of the tacos I ordered and asked for a refill on chips and it took forever to get despite asking multiple times (the place wasn't that busy). The place is nice and modern with decent amount of seating. Other than that, it was positive. Would return.

Been here a few times and had delivery to my job in Stamford hospital over the past few years. Most recently came with some coworkers for drinks after work. I'm happy the construction is finally over and the strip outside for outside dinning looks great. This place never disappoints.

Tacos : Shrimp, chicken, pork belly, & spiced chicken.

The food was full of flavor, and the service was great. The only surprise was the appetizer portion--it was much smaller than expected, even smaller than a typical kid's side. Had we known, we probably would've just gone with the tacos. That said, the ambiance was fantastic, and the place filled up quickly, which speaks to its popularity!

Awesome spot for happy hour and late night happy hour in Stamford. Drinks are made with fresh squeezed juice and there are a lot of small bite options. The staff especially David provide the best hospitality.

Man if you want a place to kick back and let your hair down and good vibes this is it! Great food small portions but worth your time. It's my new nightlife eatery. The DJ was pumping great music and such a great diversity of sounds that everyone vibes to!

This place never disappoints. I wish I had one in my town. I always have the Chorizo and pork belly tacos. The pork belly had such a beautiful crisp. The chorizo was juicy and flavorful. I also had a nice mojito, Mexican corn and pineapple. It was a girl's perfect night

Expected an average taco experience during our first time at this well known chain. Food was creative and delicious. Home run.

Pork Belly Taco, Chorizo Taco, and Sesame Ribeye Taco
    Mariana G.

I love bartaco! The portions are small and the prices are a bit expensive, but I keep coming back because the food is so good. My favorite taco is the pork belly ($3.95) -- braised pork belly caramelized in a sweet arbol chile glaze, topped with cilantro and pickled red onions. It's a crowd pleaser! I also really like the sesame ribeye taco ($3.95) -- ribeye beef marinated in a sweet sesame-soy sauce, topped with spicy kimchi and cilantro. Finally, an honorable mention goes to the chorizo taco ($2.95) -- Argentinian style spiced and seared ground pork finished with sweet onion, fresh cilantro and a smoky red chimichurri sauce. Besides tacos, their ceviche ($9.50) is great -- shrimp and cod tossed with fresh chiles, diced tomato and avocado in a bright citrus marinade, topped with cilantro, red onion and cayenne. But the one thing you must try (other than the pork belly tacos) is the tres leches dessert ($7) -- vanilla sponge cake soaked in three milks, topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce and toasted coconut. As opposed to other tres leches cakes that are served on a plate, this one comes in a jar, so the cake doesn't lose any of its moisture. It was incredibly delicious.

The three sauces. Jalapeño was tangy. Roja was mildy spicy. Habanero had spice.

Popular menu items include birria tacos, octopus, shrimp ceviche, and steak chimichurri. My daughter and I visited here for her birthday, and we both love Latin cuisine. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats immediately. It was a chilly day, and the restaurant felt cold inside as well. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.

Got there early ahead of our reservation to get drinks at the bar. I ordered a dirty vodka martini and my husband got a gin martini. They got the order wrong and gave us both dirty martinis. I was briefly excited by them asking if I wanted blue cheese olives but even those were dry since you can see them on the bar pre-skewered, sitting in a container, not in brine. We finished our drinks and then moved to a table. We were not given water when seated. Placed an order for another round of drinks then (smartly) made the decision to order a mix of apps first before our entrees. Placed an order for another round of drinks, got the gnocchi, dumplings & wings. Food hit our table before our drinks arrived and we had to ask for water. Now onto the actual food - sadly, nothing good to say about it: - Sticky Gochujang Wings: well fried wing but WAY too much vinegar in the sauce not at all a Gochujang flavor - Sweet Chili Dumplings: Panda Express sauce a cloyingly sweet. Would expect more from a place like this. Also the filling of the dumpling tasted like it had curry seasoning? Curry + sweet chili are not flavors that mix - at least not in this dish. - Gnocchi: The sauce was broken/so grainy and gritty and the gnocchi itself SO DENSE. After this bad show, it was a no-brainer that we were gonna take our night and appetites elsewhere. So disappointing. Feels like they have a lot of service issues.
