I can't recommend them highly enough. As a small business owner, when your A/C stops working and you have clients scheduled to come in to see you, they are going to be very unhappy to be sitting in a room that is slowly elevating to boiling temperatures! This is the case that happened today when our A/C stopped working around noon,quite possibly the worst time for your A/C to go out. We had called a company recommended by one of our staff, but they could not come in until tomorrow morning. We called Baseline Mechanical- they were extremely sympathetic, and rushed over to help us fix our problem. Jason came over to look at our compressor, and we can't thank him enough for getting up on our roof in the sweltering heat to fix our A/C. Baseline was referred to us a couple years ago by our reno contractor. They did extensive air handler and duct routing work, physically removing all the parts and re-installing them to spec and required location. At the time all the pieces looked like a mountain of a mess, but they put Humpty-Dumpty back together like new. That unit has been humming along ever since. It wasn't until the 2nd pump stopped cooling that we realized Baseline worked directly with homeowners too. The run cap blew up in the middle of last summer and they sent a tech right away the next morning and we had cold air a couple hours later. This summer we changed all 3 caps on the original pump and switched to Nest thermostats - they supplied, installed and hooked everything up. Our latest A/C adventure finally reminded me to write a highly appreciative review for all that Baseline does for their customers. Pump 2 stopped working a couple days ago...it became obvious when we heard it thumping, popping, and then going dead. Baseline sent Jay the next afternoon...a couple hours into diagnosing the problem (and at 112F outside), he and his colleague had to climb into the attic (!) to trace down a loose wire in that air handler. Seems like hazard pay is in order here :] Jay and colleague drove off into the sunset as we enjoyed cold air coming out the ducts again. We are Baseline lifers! read more

I'm a fairly smart person, but I'll admit when it comes to things like AC and plumbing I just can't seem to follow. Called Baseline Mechanical to get a 2nd quote on replacing my split furnace system. Nate came out to see first if he could just fix the dead compressor. He couldn't. What he did do was explain to me why he couldn't. In plain English. Finally the mysteries of HVAC started to clear. Then he clearly explained the quote process, time line, etc. I was still gathering other bids, but I had a good feeling. The bid I received wasn't the cheapest, but it wasn't much more, with a better system. Sign me up! Called Nate after 5pm on a Friday. He called back to let me know he had gotten my voice message and email. He confirmed a few details and scheduled the install for Monday. He explained that he would be handing over the payment stuff to the office as they were better at it then him. I wanted a specific thermostat and at first he indicated I would probably need to buy, but called me back and said he got it for me. Nate and his crew came out as planned and installed. They were courteous and careful with cleaning up. And after getting my special thermostat they were just fine when I decided I didn't want it. They just installed their normal one. They answered all questions I had (even dumb ones). They went over some important details - such as you MUST register your unit to get the full warranty. This is my new go to for HVAC! Cliff diagnosed quickly the part that failed, and told me the new part will come with 1 yr parts labor warranty. He gave me a very reasonable quote and even gave me a discount for local radio ad. I feared I would be replacing at least a couple of my (6) units on my commercial building. They came out right away; they fixed another companies faulty work and repaired another unit under warranty. Baseline Mechanical just earned a lifetime customer this weekend. Just got back in town Friday late night to find the A/C blowing warm air and was not happy. Made contact with Baseline that evening and got a call back first thing Saturday morning letting me know they could have someone out at 10 a.m. So right away I am impressed; quick call back, on a weekend with a same day appointment, AND in the morning! Jay arrived on time and ready to go. (I know that sounds like a no brainer but I have had companies that show up on time, but then they were sitting in their vehicle either on the phone or filling out paperwork; probably from the previous job) Jay started right away and had it diagnosed in minutes. He was straightforward and let me know it was a fairly common problem and would not be an overly complicated fix. Second time I am impressed - no upselling! I'm sure Jay could have convinced me of any number of expensive repairs but he took the time to explain the problem and let me know what needed to be done to fix it. After hearing all the horror stories from friends and neighbors of how expensive repairs could be, I prepped myself for the estimate....Gave me the estimate which sounded fair (maybe a little lower than expected?) based on what was being done so I gave him to ok to go. He was very professional and had everything needed for the repair on the truck. Once the unit was running I asked if he could check the Freon levels which turned out to be low. Baseline Mechanical replaced the bad unit solved that problem. Had a problem with the old air handler in the attic they took care of that problem. Sunday had a problem with the ac unit (not the one they replaced but my old original one) they showed up within the hour and once again problem solved. No pushy you need to replace this, just good old fashioned honest service. Cliff has been my service tech several times, he was my service tech this last call a hot Sunday afternoon, great service with a smile. Awesome company! Friendly reception when I called this morning to request AC repair. When the receptionist told me someone could come this afternoon, I requested a call a little bit ahead of time so that I could kennel dogs. The repairman called me less than a hour later and said he could be there in 30 minutes, if that was alright. Jay, Ken & the entire staff are wonderful to have as my go to for all my Air Conditioning needs. Before our A/C units finally died we had a couple of different friends in the business that helped keep them running. When it came time to replace the first of two units we of course asked our friends to provide quotes. We also got a quote from Baseline Mechanical. who was recommended by a neighbor. Ultimately we went with them and now we feel like we have new friends in the business, They are fair, fast and friendly. We used them to ultimately replace two units on one house, and one on a rental property. We've since moved to an older home with two very old units, I had an issue with one unit leaking, I called them and they came out the same day and fixed the problem. I can't thank Baseline Mechanical enough for their help. First I used them for my own AC unit that went bad last year. Called on Saturday evening and had a technician at my house within an hour. Received the part the next morning (on a SUNDAY) and had AC working by 10AM. Everyone from the receptionist to the technician was professional and timely. You can't beat service like that in AZ in the summer time. I had to call them again this past week with an issue regarding my mom's house. She was being taken advantage of by a shotty HVAC contractor. Baseline Mechanical's owner and technician came out again and reviewed this contractors work. Of course they discovered extremely poor workmanship and a technician trying to replace parts that were not even the problem. This company comes highly recommended. Bah! We have called on three separate occasions, for three different business/home units. Each time they failed to even return call. Finally, in seeing them in person because they responded to a colleague at work, and telling them of the three ignored calls, the tech just shrugged. My significant other wanted to give them one more chance, and they set up an appointment for a couple weeks out. The day came and went, with no notification from them. Fourth of July weekend Sunday morning, home a/c went out. I called three businesses from here. Baseline Mechanical is the only one that responded. Spoke to Amanda. she scheduled someone and they came out in 2.5 hours. Jason arrived and found bad capacitor. In all, he replaced capacitor, added 1.7lbs of refrigerant, and tested the system in 2.5 hours for 375.00 including the 95.00 service call. I had a family emergency and had to cancel the day before because I would be out of town and did not feel comfortable leaving my house unattended while I had people working inside and outside my home. The woman who answered gave me attitude about that and I explained my situation and that I did not feel comfortable opening my home while I wasn't there or leaving a key behind. She basically told me that she would get the landlord involved and will receive a key from them as they brought in other people to get this job done and can't reschedule them. I had to scramble around and find someone to drive an hour round trip to personally let them in. The work they did while closing up the attic was horrendous. Black finger prints all over the area and chips from where the hammer hit the boards while nailing closed the attic way up, which then led to cracks. No problem because i can replace myself but shouldn't have to. The work with the ac is fine and no problems which is a big plus. My only problem is with the schedule area. I would understand if I had to cancel hours before, but I gave 24 hour notice and felt uncomfortable letting a group of people come into my home while I'm not there with my valuables at home and hoping they would lock up correctly. Thankfully, I had a trusted member come by and check for me. Also, check if their outside help is also bonded and has a background check. read more

One evening last summer, our ac wasn't cooling as it should. I was thinking it was a condenser fan motor but wasn't for sure.
