    Bruschetta

The food here is incredible! I had the Chef's special and the bruschetta. The pasta dish is one of the best I have ever eaten. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend! The only downside is that I live 7 hours away from here.

Such an awesome little hidden gem! Good service, great food, sat on the patio which was nice! Can't go wrong with a classic cheese pizza and some vodka pasta with some grilled chicken in it! Will definitely be coming back! All the food was delicious!

Chefs Favorite a familiar flavor to me with a rich ham savory taste. Loved it! Stole from my wife lol.

Wishing we had a place like this in South Chandler. Everyone deserves a great local Italian spot where all the food is made from scratch using literally grandma's recipes. A place where you know the food is made by the chef and not line cooks who don't have the feel for the plate you order. Made like it was in your own kitchen the dishes we ordered were fantastic. Really they were outstanding. Want to come back and try their pizza. Those of you who live close by and haven't tried this place should because you will find it to be so much better than giant restaurants and chains where don't get this level of quality. You guys rock and keep up the great work. Till we pop in again!

Came here strictly off of other Yelp reviews. This is a small whole in the wall type of establishment. Inside was completely redone since covid due to an unfortunate fire. :( The waiter we had was very friendly. We asked him about the dishes & what he would recommend. He was very helpful & patient with us. I ordered the linguini & clams with white sauce, it was quite tasty, but, in all honesty it was a little on the salty side. But, very flavorful. My husband ordered some chicken pesto pasta dish & he said his was very tasty. We also had some cheese garlic bread as an appetizer. Also good! He did say that the bread for the garlic bread is the same as what they use for their pizzas, all in all, I'd say this is a very good hidden gem, definitely would suggest giving them a try if you ever in the area. Oh & just fyi, they are located in a strip mall type of place.

Awesome calzone! Crispy, perfect amount of cheese and loved the extra toppings I put on. Yep pineapple 1000% The marinara accompanying the calzone was good. Stopped a bit after half way. The small could easily be shared by two, or be consumed by one if you're real hungry. I enjoyed the outside seating and that it had protection from the rain. The staff were very friendly. Glad I tried it and thankful for yelp.

The food was phenomenal, you must try something with their homemade pesto. Service was perfection, everyone was so kind and really elevated the experience. Literally there was always someone nearby that was perfectly attentive. I sat in their outside dining and had full Venice feels of sitting outside watching the world go by. BYOB, They will supply the glasses. If you forget, there is a convenient store next door. The perfect dining experience!

"Eat Like Italiano at Marcellino"…read more Marcellino Ristorante in Scottsdale is one of those places that's clearly popular for a reason. There was a long wait when we arrived but the staff made it pleasant by bringing out free bruschetta while we waited, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is very Italian--warm, charming, and inviting. They also have outdoor seating, which adds to the whole experience. There was live music that night, and it really set the mood without being overwhelming. I tried two of their non-alcoholic drinks: the rosemary mint lemonade and the hibiscus mango--both refreshing and thoughtfully made. My husband went with a lager beer, which paired well with the food. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted to try their homemade pasta, and once we heard they have squid ink pasta, my husband didn't hesitate. We ordered it, and wow--it was amazing. The pasta was deeply flavorful, loaded with seafood, and served with lobster meat on the side, which took it to another level. We also ordered the Filetto di Malale--pork tenderloin sautéed with tender asparagus and green peppercorns, finished with a bourbon flambé. It was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. For dessert, we had the flaming panna cotta, which was both fun to watch and deliciously sweet. We were also happy to meet the owner-chef, Marcellino Verzino, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this place is absolutely worth visiting if you're looking for authentic Italian dishes here in Arizona. Definitely a spot we would return to.

This place was great!…read more I came here for dinner on a Friday night for a work function. Reservations are recommended, if not required. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. Parking was free in nearby parking garages. The inside of the restaurant was so beautiful. A very intimate, dark atmosphere. We tried numerous appetizers, but my favorite was the Bufala mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto. The bread was also nice and warm, served with a really delicious spread. For my dinner entree I tried the filet mignon stuffed tortellini. AMAZING! And very filling. For dessert I tried the tiramisu which did not disappoint. All of our desserts came out flambé style, which was fun. The apple galetta was also yummy. The dishes were not huge, but enough to feel satisfied. I did not leave this place feeling overly full. They also had a great selection of mock tails which were delicious. The rosemary mint lemonade and blueberry lavender ginger were my favorites. They weren't as sweet as I imagined they would be which was nice. A great place for Italian food

I highly recommend trying both, especially if you've never had a Chicago beef. The juicy beef paired with giardiniera is super savory. Damn! I'm craving it again. For lunch on our second visit, we ordered the Chief Beef special and a margherita pizza. This was, by far, the BEST margherita pizza ever! I think I've said that in another review... but for reals this time! The pizza was perfectly crispy on the bottom with just the right amount of basil to top off each bite. For dinner on our third visit, we ordered the clam linguine and an Italian beef sandwich. My husband says this clam linguine was better than the other versions he's eaten at Little Italy. The Italian sandwich was good, but not as savory as the Chicago beef. Can't wait to eat here, again, the next time we visit the Padres during spring training.

We made a reservation ahead of time and had a table ready for us on the outdoor patio. We went on a Friday and could instantly tell this place is legit. The ambiance isn't modern it's more home-style but honestly, who cares when the food is this good? The service was excellent and incredibly fast. We were on a bit of a time crunch, and they helped us wrap everything up right on schedule. For drinks, I ordered a Cosmo and oh my one of the best cocktails I've had. The flavor was perfectly balanced and so smooth. For appetizers, we tried Emma's dumplings, beet salad, Brussels sprouts, and burrata. They started us off with house-made bread and homemade butter, I could eat that all day. So good! We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing vegetarian options. The Brussels sprouts, beet salad, and Emma's dumplings were definite winners each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. For mains, we ordered the penne vodka. I had high expectations, and while it was good, it was more on the average side compared to everything else. And finally the butter cake for dessert absolutely knocked it out of the park. You could literally taste the butter in every bite, Unreal. Pricing is very reasonable, and overall the service and food were beyond exceptional. We'll definitely be back!

I saw a few of my foodie favs talking a out Di Maggio's on IG and it just so happened to be our anniversary week so I snagged a reservation. I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.
