Not sure whether 3 stars is too much or too little to be honest. If I rated based on the pad thai alone I would probably drop to 1 star. I am blessed to know of a place with the best pad thai in the world, but even when I eat it other places it's typically pretty tasty. Not here! So dry, and no heat to it at all! I would definitely never get that again! Where my confusion in rating comes in is the Pho. I have never had it bepho so this was my first time trying it. I try to keep an open mind, and will give the place the benefit of the doubt that I just ordered incorrectly. I got the pho with well done brisket. YUCK! I poured the sauce in as I understood to be correct, and even then this stuff lacked taste so much I questioned if I had the covid. I didn't, this pho just tasted like nothing. Tried a piece of the brisket and it was like eating cardboard! Overall, I will NEVER get pho here again, nor will i order with what they call well done brisket. The food was delicious but the customer service SUCKED! I placed an order to go, and told the young man at the register that I'd been there a few weeks ago and the Sizzlin' Claypot Rice with Chicken was so good I'd been craving it. I paid my bill - and added a tip for takeout - and he just looked at me with a blank face and said "sit at table 10." So I wait at table 10, and the server brings my order, says "Here", placed it on the table and walked away. Period. No thank you, no come again, just HERE. I would most certainly have become a regular customer but I will never go back. My meal tastes just the same, but now I have no joy in eating it. I'm completely disappointed. read more

This place has become one of our go-to spots for takeout (due to being pretty covid-cautious) and based on the usually full parking lot it seems I'm not the only one! Our usual order here is a lemongrass tofu banh mi and a lemongrass tofu vermicelli noodle bowl (bun). I love getting this when I want asian but something lighter and healthier than a coconut curry! The menu says to pick between bell peppers and broccoli-onions, but you can get both! And you should. I've never eaten the whole meal in one serving and it's always nice to have leftovers for a light lunch the next day. The banh mi is also great although you probably won't have leftovers for that. Interestingly, they have a twist on this dish, and provide peanut sauce with it! For takeout, the pickled veggies, cilantro, and jalapeno are packaged separately, so you can pick and choose what you want if you don't love them all. We did try the pad thai once but found it surprisingly bland. Not a big deal to me as I'll stick with what I love here....although I really ought to try the pho someday! The spring rolls are dependably yummy and a pretty generous size as well. Recently they closed for a few days due to a positive covid case amongst the staff. They were upfront and honest about the closure on their facebook page, and I thought it was really great that they closed until the whole staff could get tested. I love love love this place!!! I find it super hard to try anything outside of the Pho or Shrimp fried rice as they are AMAZING. I have to try different things off of my family's plates lol and still everything that I have tried is awesome. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Albuquerque. One of my top recommendations for Vietnamese pho! It's super easy to find and is always always busy. Such a great sign! When you walk in you are seated immediately with the generous staff. The appetizers are a must to start with. I love the dumplings, chicken or pork are delicious! I always order the rare steak pho and it's even more prefect on a cloudy rainy day. The broth of the soup is fresh, flavorful, and filling. The steak is served rare but after a couple minutes it's cooked to perfection in the always hot broth. All the veggies come on the side and it's delicious to add all. Bean sprouts, lime, cilantro, and mint. Basil leaf also has many drink options, their boba teas are the most popular. This is a layered review. 5 stars for atmosphere, the place was so busy, I mean it has to be good. Our service was attentive and fast. We had an amazing appetizer, Crispy Shrimp, absolutely phenomenal! We also had two wonderful Thai Teas. Although our main courses were so lackluster. We struggled to move past two-three bites of our plates. My guest ordered the Fried Rice combo with beef (pictured below) we were very surprised when we saw the type of beef, the smell was interesting to say the least and the meat was wildly salty and chewy in texture. She was unable to eat at all after the shock of her first bite and unfortunately the overall appearance and smell of the dish. I ordered Pan Seared Filet Mignon, with Broccoli. While my dish appeared to be much more appetizing, my meat was wildly over cooked, sticky and such an undesirable chewy texture. The broccoli was good and how can you go wrong cooking white rice. Overall we were a little shocked and neither of us could finish our food. We want to love this place, we're almost certain it was just what we ordered. We will be back, in hopes to try something better fit for our pallets. We both left thinking- it had to be us because we hadn't been to that busy of a restaurant in ages! So maybe with a little more research of Vietnamese cuisine, we will be back prepared to order something better fit for us! read more

This restaurant is a very accommodating one for people with celiac disease. I went with my party of four Sunday night and had a wonderful meal. I think we found a new place in Albuquerque. The restaurant was clean,!staff wore masks and the food was out fast! There are favorites that we tend to go to every time we visit Albuquerque. The Pho was delicious and so were the noodle bowls. The price was very good and the portions were outstanding. We ordered a grilled chicken spring roll(two) with peanut sauce, a large combination Ph, two combo (grilled shrimp, grilled pork, 2 egg rolls, pork sausage) bowls of noodle bowls that have vermicelli noodles, lettuce, bean sprouts, green onions, peanuts and side garnishes ( mint, cucumber, pickled carrots) served with fish sauce, we also ordered a grilled chicken and grilled pork bowl. We even places an order to go for sticky rice( mango) for the road. That hit the spot!! Next time we are in , I will have to try a clay pot dish and also a crepe. read more

Where to start?! I love the food here. This particular time I got a claypot with beef. The beef is thin, tasty and perfectly cooked. The claypot is rice with onions, cilantro and tastiness. I've had the spring rolls, noodle soup and pho. It's all consistently great. The stir fry noodles are also great. So stop in! I've yet to have a bad meal and I've had lunch here a handful of times. The servers are soft spoken, kind, and super quick. Don't panic if there isn't parking or if there is a bit of a line to be seated because usually it goes by quickly. read more
