It's crazy that i keep coming back for the worst costumer service !!!! I come to pick up my order and i checked it only because i ordered delivery about two weeks ago and my order was incorrect and they didn't fix the problem So i try take out picking up the order on my own and of course i decided to check because of the previous mistakes with ordering and course my order is incorrect. i only order one kind of sandwich from this restaurant that's how i know there was no way i had order what they made. My husband and I have been ordering food delivery from Basils Pizza for 15 years and will no longer ever order from them again. They provide the opportunity to place orders online through Beyond Menu, Grubhub, etc. and the orders get messed up regularly. This time after somebody had called me to go over my order with me on the phone it was still wrong and the owner tried to blame it on Beyond Menu. He was extremely unprofessional with me and I have other restaurants in the area that provide delivery of better quality food. read more

I love the pizza here! You can tell these use fresh ingredients. The barbecue chicken pizza is one of the best I've had from a take out spot. The oven roasted, buffalo, and Italian rings are also really good, not too greasy. But by far my favorite thing is the fries! They are crispy and have a subtle seasoning. I was traveling and staying in a hotel. I put the wrong address into the order when I placed it. It turns out the correct address was out of their delivery area but this didn't come up until I spoke to them. They took the time to reroute the driver to the correct address, even though it was out of range and 11:30 at night. I really appreciated the making the effort. Pretty good sandwiches and side dishes with friendly staff. It's a hole in the wall pizza joint in a strip mall. The only turn off is the pizza they have sitting there under a hot lamp. Not sure how old it was. Overall all of their hot sandwiches and gyros are great. read more

Customer service skills of the b*tch that answers the phone and acts as though you are inconveniencing her by asking questions regarding items on the menu and then gets irritated when she asks for the expiration date of your credit card and you say "june 2011" instead of saying "06 2011" because she can't independently figure out that june IS the 6th month = dispicable. I love this place! The service is always good, and like another poster said the delivery is great. Never more than an hour. This is an independent pizzeria and sub shop. Check their flyers or menus for coupons - they never turn one down. I've had lots of subs from here and they never disappoint. I wouldn't recommend the "large" subs as they are just 2 small subs in the same package. The fries are OK, but I highly recommend the cheddar poppers or the onion rings. They also have authentic greek Gyros - among the best in the area. The pizza is very good and a good value I think. There's lots of toppings including the aforementioned Gyro meat. The place is very busy for delivery on Friday or Saturday, but once your order is placed, it's good to go. read more

This place was awful. They delivered our order- and it was soggy- and the wrong order! I ordered a chicken Philly cheese steak- which was a cheese steak...not chicken- and a poorly cooked steak at that. My son's soccer team was in town for a tournament. We ordered pizza and wings for 30 people Saturday afternoon for that same evening, which was delivered directly to the hotel. The owners were extremely accommodating and understanding after we had to change the delivery time twice because of our game schedule. The food arrived hot and everyone said it was delicious. The price was reasonable. The pizza slices were large and filling. The wings were a good size and had a good flavor. Thank you for such a positive experience. They have a huge variety of items other than pizzas, they have pastas, burgers, kabobs, gyros,wings, subs, everything. They even have halal foods if you're Muslim. I was super excited to order Basil's last night because we are always excited to find new order places & the menu looked great. We got a gyro, an Italian style sub, fries, & jalapeño poppers. The email confirmation said it would be delivered between 30 & 45 minutes but after TWO phone calls it arrived an hour & 10 minutes later. Because it had sat for so long, the fries were cold & tough. Basils's is my favorite restaurant in Gaithersburg. I first heard about them through eat24 back in 2015, & I've never looked back. The Philly cheesesteak was my go to, but now I love the chicken cheesesteak. The quality of service is great, & the people are very friendly. I no longer order through those food apps for delivery. This is our favorite late night place to get GREAT food! We discovered Basil's on accident just driving past in the parking lot. It looked like an inviting place so we went in. We were impressed with the huge variety and selection of meal options and said to each other we are going to have to try them all! We started that night with the pizza and calzone- both of which were delicious! We came back many times since then- it's definitely our go-to when we want something tasty and fast. Every time we come it's super busy with people dining in, carrying out, and the phone is always ringing. That's a good sign- you know the food and service must be good if that's the case. Our other favorite thing about Basil's is the owner- Shah! He is very warm, professional, and really cares for his customers! We have seen him so much he feels like family! (I do call him Uncle sometimes...!) Not good at all. I got the white pizza with pepperoni on top. I couldn't eat more than two slices. Didn't taste good and toooooo salty!

Their NY style pizza is good but the thicker crust is absolutely perfect. XL Pepperoni every time.

First experience: Called to order delivery. Ordered lamb kabob and meatball sub. I was told 55 minutes to an hour. Okay, it's a Friday and I know it takes awhile. An hour and twenty minutes later, I'm being told the driver just left 7-8 minutes ago. I'm told he will be there any minute. I tell them if he is not here in ten minutes I will call back. They assure me the driver will be here. Long story short, an hour and forty minutes later I get my food and it's cold. Their solution is 5 dollars off. Review of the food: I wouldn't recommend either the lamb kabob, it was very overcooked, nor the meatball sub. The meatballs taste like they are out of a bag of frozen meatballs.
