My son and I attempted to go tonight because there isn't another ice cream place in Gladstone. The first 20 mins we were there 1 of the 2 employees that was working was cleaning all 6 shake machines instead of helping the line to the door. Then he only made 2 shakes. Once we got closer then entire middle section of freezers was empty. Baskin Robins used to be 31 flavors but apparently it's only 19 now. This is not the first time we have had a bad experience at this location. I've learned my lesson and will just drive to Liberty for now on. read more

I took my kids there today for a cool treat. Customer service was great but the place was FILTHY!! All the tables were super sticky with visible grime on them. The windows were full of fingerprint. Floors dirty. Half of the ice creams were melted and looked like soup or some were freezer burnt. I'm guessing if the health department were to stop in it would get shut down. Also none of the workers were wearing gloves. It was so visibly bad even my 9 year old passed in ice cream because he thought it was so dirty. It was two scoops overflowing in a cup that was too small for one scoop with 3 tiny slices of banana. No joke. Twice. They don't even greet you when you walk into the store and no "hello" when you're at the cash register. They always somehow seem to close early they have hit a new high now. Last time I came it was 9:30 and they weren't supposed to be closed for another half hour and the teenagers in there were just sitting behind the counter with the door locked. Didn't even acknowledge the fact that I was standing at the door. This time it was 8:30 and they have lights shut off and cleaning up. I finally got one of them to come to the door and explain why they are closing down with an hour and half before they were supposed to be close. Sticky tables and floor, and sales staff appearance is unappetizing--disheveled clothing and stringy, dirty hair. No hello or even notice of my being there. Last time I was in no ice cream in middle freezer and it (and counters) were filthy. No waffle cones for the THIRD TIME in two months. An employee, evidently evening crew came in front door and looked as horrible as the others, sort of sauntered back to the back room like he really didn't want to be there. Empty tubs still in the freezers that were functional. I was in this store the first or second day it opened. Great. Clean. Friendly. What happened in only a few months? It's Baskin Robbins, so that sums up the great taste of the ice cream. LOVE their Baseball Nut flavor the best. Vanilla Ice Cream with Raspberry swirl, and cashew nuts. Employee was nice, but they seem to be short staffed. The young lady was swamped with customers, and the rest of the store suffered. Tables were sticky, as were the windows and chairs. This is the worst Baskin Robbins ever, I have called corporate but noone cares. The coolers are turned up so they don't have to work too hard to scoop ice cream, I ordered a scoop on a sugar cone and the ice cream was so soft they put it in a cup with the cone on top. They have another entire cooler that is broken so really this store should be call "16 Flavors". Don't expect quality here or to even have your favorite flavor. How do you F$#%^k up a product that is shipped to you??? This store can. The electronic board is never on and we went to buy a cake one Saturday and they had nothing!!! Once we went there at 8PM and they were closing from 8 to 9pm to due inventory but would re-open from 9 to 10pm. This store can't be profitable, they barely have product, rarely make cakes and often dont have sugar cones (a Baskin specialty) . I have called corporate 3 times, always they say the owner will call me....Ha! Never happens. My husband and I went into this Baskin and Robbins last night about 7:45pm. Two couples and one single in front of us in line. Only ONE person working behind the counter, and he was very slow. It was an 80° day, first 80° day of the year. You would've thought there'd been at least two employees working. We stood in line for 20 minutes. People were stepping out of line behind us and leaving. We finally get to the counter and I tell the employee " I want 2 scoops, one nutty coconut and one chocolate chip on a cake cone". He grabs the cone and turns around to the ice cream tub on the counter behind him. It was the nutty coconut and it was very soft and runny. It was not in the freezer, just sitting on the counter. He was actually trying to scoop it into the cone. I told him I didn't want runny ice cream. He said this is the last of the nutty coconut. I told him to go ahead and scoop the chocolate chip and I would look at the other flavors to see what I wanted in place of the nutty coconut. OMG - The chocolate chip was the same way! On the counter and mushy/runny. I ended up getting two flavors that are not my favorites, but after standing in line for 20 minutes I wasn't gonna leave empty-handed. My husband asked for two scoops of chocolate almond on a sugar cone. The employee put his ice cream on a cake cone like mine. My husband, not being one to make waves, paid for the ice cream so we could get out of there. At least he got the flavors he wanted.
