    Píkachu ice cream cake!
    Angel P.

This baskin Robbin's recently changed owners, and I met Suj while placing the order for a bday cake for my 3 year old boy. She was so helpful and really tried to help me out with my cake!!! A+ service, and the cake??? Omg it was such a big win. All the kids LOVED IT! The toddlers were all over it. We went with chocolate mousse ice cream with white cake. Asked for lots of sprinkles and they delivered and it was just what I wanted plus more!!!! This is the best, get it here. And the ice cream cake was much more affordable than Paris baguette, and other custom cake places that I have ordered from, and obviously the kids like this more. We left it out for like 1 hour and it did not melt it was great!!! Thank you Suj!! Get your ice cream / ice cream cake from THIS BASKIN ROBBINS THEY ARE THE BEST!

Kids wanted ice cream after dinner. We were nearby this location and came in to get ice cream. It is not the first time we came here. Service was fine and boys enjoyed their choice of ice cream. We were glad this place was open till 10pm as many places closed at 9pm in this area for boba and drinks.

Can someone confirm if it's $34.99 or $39.99?
    Thuyvi M.

Pricing needs to match what is written. I don't mind paying $39.99. But don't tell me that don't look like $34.99 haha. Anyways BR cakes are always a hit with my family. I like that they have it readily available for any occasion. Different flavors to choose from. Parking is easy at this location. Employee could have been more friendly.

Baskin Robbins is one of my go-tos for ice cream cake. There's something about their frosting that just....omg....crack. I love it. I don't know what's in it. But I wish it wasn't just on the swirls and it was all over. Anyway, I digress. Today's Baskin Robbins was just such a pleasant experience that I've never experienced at other locations that I needed to give this a 5-star experience. L O C A T I O N This Baskin Robbins is located in a weird spot in this plaza. I would say if you're coming from 680 and exited Tassahara, turn into the plaza off of of the Santa Rita side versus turning into Rosewood first as you'll overshoot it. There's parking just not too much as it's shared with other establishments in this offshoot of the plaza. I N S I D E There are a few tables inside as a couple of folks were hanging out while I was there. Ice cream cakes are in the back, ice cream and registers on the left. T H E G O O D S I was there to pick up an ice cream cake. They had a good variety of cakes esp. those that are 6-8 person and 10-12 person cakes. Unfortunately no 2-4 cakes which I was aiming for, but hey, more cake for me. There were a couple that did have "Happy Birthday" which I get is popular. I wish they had more neutral cake designs. But I did find one that was super pretty and fit what I needed. Also really glad it was Oreo ice cream with white cake. I guess you could always pre-order but I'm all for a surprise of what I'll get that day. S E R V I C E I've been a few Baskin Robbins. This one I'd have to say was a joy to stop by at and it's because of the worker who was there that day. I wish I remembered her name, but she was friendly, smiling, and helpful. She brightened up my day for sure. I easily paid and they have a rewards system. Unfortunately I was just $1/1 point short from a small scoop. Oh well, gives me a reason to come back. O V E R A L L Yes, it's Baskin Robbins and they're a chain. So when you have workers who just make your experience just a little bit better than your standard, I think it's awesome. She totally made my short trip there great. I'd totally be back to this Baskin Robbins for sure if I am in the area.

    Shreya C.

I got a three scoops ice cream sundae with loaded almonds And hot fudge. That is my usual and I love it. But I am kinda surprised that they are serving kid's scoop in Sundae. I remember the last time when I had it from here it was normal scoop. Not sure it is recently introduced or not.

This place is filthy! Dirty walls, toilet paper in place of napkins, old bananas...just gross.

10p closing time posted on both door and Yelp.
    Kristi A.

Update your hours! Walked in at 930p to a shop full of people eating and no line only to get rudely yelled at by a frazzled employee who yelled at us that they're closed. I proceeded to tell him that the hours posted on the door says they're open until 10p. He told me it's wrong and refused to serve us. Hours on yelp also reflected at 10p closing time. Maybe update your hours on your storefront and yelp to reflect correct closing times. Also, don't yell at people when they first walk in. RIDICULOUS.

I don't typically buy ice cream from stores like Baskin Robbins, Cold Stone, etc, usually just buying tubs from Costco, Trader Joe's, Safeway, or other grocery stores, if at all, but I came here with my coworkers after work since we work nearby and they are open surprisingly late, especially for this area. We were off work before 9:00 and this place closes at 10:00! The ice cream certainly tastes better than the supermarket tubs, and the experience and convenience are cool. Service is quick and it's cool to sit down like a restaurant experience. It was really cold outside and it was nice and warm in the store, a perfect indoor place for having ice cream with friends! We came in on Friday night past 9:00, and the people working were very nice, welcoming, and friendly! I was surprised how busy it was for Pleasanton at night for ice cream in a colder season, I imagine the hot summer days might be much busier!

Literally 4 spoons of ice cream.

Optimistically, I'd like to think it was more due to the latter, but regardless of the reason, we knew immediately we needed a cold sweet treat to cool ourselves off. Or, more specifically, a short walk across the parking lot to get some Somisomi! Much like all of their other locations that I've been to, this Somisomi is pretty minimal in nearly every way - from their design and decor to their menu. However, the latter, in particular, works for them, keeping things simple and helping them get orders out quickly. Plus, it's not like their menu is short on options - from their ahboong and upside ahboong, to their soft serve and taiyaki, to their milk drinks, cold brew, and cold brew float, they have a great selection to choose from. Not to mention how their variety of flavors of soft serve, taiyaki, and toppings allows for a dozens of ways for you to customize your order! While I already had an idea of what I wanted to get before we stepped inside, it didn't take me long to decide on their flavor once I saw their featured flavor. For my UPSIDE DOWN AHBOONG ($7.95), I opted to get their Cookies 'n Cream & Milk Tea Swirl with a Red Bean Taiyaki and Crushed Biscoff Crumbles. Sadly, this wasn't quite as awesome as I had hoped for, but this was still pretty good. Mostly, the taste of the milk tea in the swirl was hard to notice, but I did think the cookies 'n cream side of it was great. As before, though, the highlight of me was the taiyaki (with the swirl in it), as the red bean filling was delicious and I loved the batter - slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Despite how there was a small crowd ahead of when we got in line, it seemed like it only took a few minutes before all of our orders were ready. What's more, the workers here were all super friendly, which is impressive given how they're just constantly churning out orders one after another for hours on end. Considering how I'm so late to the Somisomi party, I'm sure there may still be some novelty to coming here for me, but it doesn't change the fact that I still thoroughly enjoyed my order. What's more, I don't know what the other dessert options are around Pleasanton, but I imagine there aren't many others that are also open so relatively late (open until 10:30pm on Fridays and weekends). If nothing else, this is a great place to head to for some sweet cool relief from the heat! Or the Chubby Cattle meat sweats...

Biscoff Matcha: 6.5/10 matcha w/ a cookie butter swirl, topped with/ vanilla cold foam, biscoff cookie and crumble on top. felt like a good amount of sweetness, got it at 50% for the sweet lvl. wished the matcha powder had a more earthy and strong flavor. cookie butter swirl was nice, would've been great w/ a concentrated syrup to enhance the flavor. Biscoff Latte: 7/10 similar to the matcha, latte has a rich coffee flavor. not so sweet, which i enjoyed. just the same w/ the cookie butter from the matcha. needs more of a strong flavor profile for the biscoff taste. Macarons: 8.5/10 love getting the macarons! we got the salted caramel, fruity pebble, and strawberry cheesecake. they were all great! however, i felt like the flavor didn't shine through for the strawberry cheesecake. highly recommend the salted caramel.
