n ice cream stand with a man behind it
    Emmalouise B.

Located in the Premium Outlet's this little stall has just opened. It's easy to miss as it is literally just a tiny little stand in the middle of the walkway with one member of staff serving. Shopping in the Outlet's with Family that are visiting this past Friday we stopped by briefly. There are 4 sizes to choose from ranging from $3.99 - $6.99 and are basically Ice Cream topped with little flavored balls of Sugar. Really not my kind of thing especially after a small taste as it was so sweet but they seemed to be a hit with everyone else. The one staff member seemed to be really unhappy and almost angry at being there. I guess with it being 90+ degree's out it couldn't have been much fun though.

Classic old-school soft serve spot with really good ice cream. I went simple and got the plain…read morechocolate soft serve, and it was excellent. The texture is noticeably thicker and creamier than the typical soft serve you get elsewhere. You can tell it's made differently. Next time I definitely want to try some of the other flavors like orange and strawberry. The drive-through line was crazy long, and the walk-up line was long too, but they moved people through surprisingly fast. Definitely worth the wait.

5/5 for the dessert itself. Got a small pineapple orange in a cup…read more 2/5 for the ambiance, the service, and the parking. First with the parking. I was parallel parking and the girl behind me and the audacity to follow me while I was pulling up to start backing up into a spot. She didn't even bother moving or going around while I was waiting for the spot to open up. There's no dedicated parking spots for this place so it's just street parking so good luck. The line. There's no clear end of where the line actually ends so it ends up being a jumbled mess and since there's a drive through, people don't know how to not block the way for the cars to go through. There's kids riding on bikes up and down the streets and the sidewalks so be cautious of what's around you. The service. Once we figured out where the line was, the teenager walked us over and took our order. She was very rude and had zero customer service. We were a party of 4, and after every single order, she would rush and ask "anything else?!" And I really wanted to reply with "and a better attitude" but I let it go. It wasn't even hot outside for her to have that kind of temper with customers. Like yes, it was busy, but you're doing a job that requires customer service. At the end of the day, it's free to be nice

I finally got my son to try Loard's. He loved it! So glad to be able to share my favorite spot for…read moreice cream in this town.

My friends and I stuffed our faces with pizza and decided to walk it off to check out places around…read moredowntown. It was a very hot Saturday and we decided to cool off with some ice cream from Loard's. I have always been a fan since my childhood, butter brickle and peppermint ice cream are my go-to. I had never visited this location before. Walking in, the ambiance wasn't giving me the warm fuzzies like the other well-lit Loard's locations did. It's pretty dim with only one window emitting any light from outside. It still has it's pink and white interior, but it doesn't scream "ice cream shop." One thing that stood out to me was the menu. It appeared they might've updated several of their prices with the edits marked all over it. It just looks tacky, but I understand that making a new sign can be costly. Hopefully in the near future this could be given a nice facelift. We ordered a scoop of ube, a scoop of toasted almond, and a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Unfortunately you couldn't eat indoors so we stood outside the shop and hurried to eat the ice cream before it melted. Would I come back here again? Maybe, but I prefer the Castro Valley location more as it just gives more of the feels of an actual ice cream shop and it's got a pleasant vibe to it.
