Everybody lives just around the corner from a Baskin Robbins - like H+R Block they seem to be in every neighborhood all across America. First off, I choose mango - that's a given - I always try this flavor. There are so many variables when tasting ice cream but I try to keep this one variable the same in my search for the best ice cream shop. I am a credible mango expert - and this stuff is good. It can competitively play with the big boys and keep up with the pack. Some swirls of sugary goodness on a beautiful base of plain ice cream to allow the mango to shine through. I look at all the other flavors. Its overwhelming - almost painful to choose. Lots of variety. The flavors are a bit goofy - as they should to be - like a guys tie - a place to let a little creativity flow. I ask for and take a recommendation from the person helping me. I don't remember the exact name but "Gold Metal something or another" is what I'll call it. Chocolate, vanilla and caramel. It was delicious and a good flavor to try alongside the mango one. More about the flavors. That is what this place is all about. They were unique. I think I remember seeing watermelon and cotton candy. You need to try a few. Ask for help from the people working here. They appear to love their job and know ice cream - all the flavors very well. One flavor in the description promises that it will take you for a vacation without leaving home. I don't usually review businesses, however I decided to make an exception for this. It was my daughters birthday yesterday so my husband and I took her to get some ice cream. She saw those mermaid ice cream sundaes online and has been begging me for weeks to get her one so we finally went there! Upon arrival there was a huge line of about 20 people and we expected for there to be a long wait, however, we were able to get inside fairly quickly. After entering the store, we noticed that there was just one girl working at the counter and although she was rushing and working as fast as she could, she took the time to tell us about which ice cream flavors she likes and which ones our daughter would most likely enjoy (said her name was Nicki!) I just moved nearby and have been to this location twice. I've never had to wait, the service has been super friendly, and lets face it... the ice cream is delicious. I got a double toddler scoop of love potion #31 and the chocolate almond on a cone... which is nice that to get a double scoop and not get diabetes. While the quality of their products are just as good as any other BR's I've ever been too the service is just poor. I ordered an ice cream cake for my sons bday last year. Everything looked great until we cut it open and our mint chip ice cream was actually cookies and cream. While not the biggest deal in the world it was quite a bummer to see my son pass on his own cake because it wasn't what he wanted. Based on that and the fact I had the box which said mint BUT wasn't they gave me a discount on my next cake. While almost a year later I'm back ordering a cake for my daughters bday. I made sure to stress the error they made last year as there is no way for me to double check until we cut it. Feeling like I got my point across I paid for the cake and went on my way. When we arrive on Saturday to pick up the cake it was nowhere to be found. They gal behind the counter said it wouldn't be ready until 6PM. Seeing how the party was at 1:00 this was a bit of a problem. The gal proceeded to show me the order slip and said where pick up on Friday had been circled then crossed off and said see. To which I replied while it appears someone made a change. "Well it wasn't me sir" was the response I got...lol. Fair enough, I said. After asking how she was going to resolve this she said "while I can't just make a cake appear". No problem I said. Y'all have two choices get me my cake or I'll just take whatever I decide is appropriate from your fridge. End result, they delivered the cake I ordered to our party by 1:00. This is the worst Baskin Robbins I have ever been to. They truly don't give a crap about their customers. 1. They have never accepted any sort of coupon I've ever presented, including the ones they print on their own receipts!!!!!!! That is just plain WRONG. Today I called the corporate office and filed a complaint about this. 2. Owners are always in a negative mood and I can see them on the "sidelines" micromanaging their employees. 3. The creepy man there (must be Steve, based on others reviews) literally almost forced vanilla frozen yogurt down my infants throat on one occasion after I politely told him several times that my daughter was too young to have ice cream!!! 4. I don't understand why everything I've ever requested is denied. For instance, I ordered the Reeses Peanut Butter sundae which comes with three scoops of the same kind of ice cream. I asked if they could substitute a different flavor for one of the scoops and the answer was no. I've also asked if they could add the peanut butter syrup on my sundae instead of fudge and the answer was no. They are unaccomodating and the customer clearly doesn't come first! The only reason I continue to go back is the location is two minutes from my house and I like the ice cream. But I am so fed up that I am going to start driving to Dublin. read more

I love Baskin Robbin's Ice cream. The formula is great! The problem here is the Santa Rita location... They have the WORST service ever. Where is the owners and staffs customer skills? I have maybe had one staff member be nice to me. Everyone usually has a bad attitude and just doesnt seem to want to help customers. The older guy is creepy, the portions seem smaller than other BR's (just buy kid's scoop - it's the same size as the regular scoop, but costs less), the ice cream is sometimes icy like it defrosted and was refrozen, and (horror of horrors)...THEY RUN OUT OF ROCKY ROAD. i was at baskin robbins cupertino (DeAnza) location yesterday.. i gave them 1 star because older Asian owner is not selfie friendly and asked me to leave (yesterday i had to eat my doublescoop sprinkled waffle cone outside). Updating my review for the new ownership of this location. I was contacted by the new owners because my original review of this location was poor; so-so service, out-of-date signage and they didn't accept electronic coupons straight from the Baskin Robin's app! The new owners seem to know what they're doing. Bringing back popular promotions and training their staff to provide quality customer service are a few of the things I noticed on my most recent visit. Obviously, being contacted by management in an effort to try to turn around a negative reputation created by previous ownership is a positive sign. They really care! Most importantly, they now accept coupons and promotions from the app! The location was clean, fully staffed and I was warmly greeted and attended to when I walked in. Great experience, I will definitely be back, especially in the summer when it's unbearably warm again. read more

We have always loved Baskin Robbins.. We always go there to celebrate joyful occasions in life or just when we feel like having an ice cream. But yesterday, I had a very bad & painful experience at Baskin Robbins, Pleasanton ( Santa Rita Road)  We placed an order and waited 20 minutes to get the right ice cream served, because the lady at the counter prepared the wrong order not once but twice. It felt as if the delay was intentional. While waiting, the phone rang and when the young man at the counter went to pick up the call, the same lady told him that she will pick up the call and made us wait another 10 minutes. Then, she went to help the next customer in line instead of billing us. I had to ask the young man at the counter to help us with billing. I thought of complaining to the store manager but left since a long queue of customers formed while the lady was doing this to me. We had to wait 35 minutes to get 3 scoops of ice cream. And there was no apology offered. The bitter experience left a bad taste. I felt discriminated against and unwelcome. This was the first time we had such an experience at Baskin Robbins and hope we don't have it again. We had gone to celebrate a small personal occasion but the happiness was tainted by this painful experience. Update: I had lodged a complaint with B&R customer service.  They responded promptly and conveyed their apologies.They told that the store will follow up with me within 2 business days. However, the store hasn't contacted me even after 8 days. Hope the store trains and sensitizes their employees better. And hope the employees learn to treat all customers equally. We love B&R but would skip this store in the future read more
