I ordered an Affogato with a vanilla bean gelato and a small scoop of the Chai tea latte gelato. The Affogato was served in a small plastic cup with plastic spoon. The small scoop of gelato was served in a small paper cup with an even smaller plastic spoon. Both were delicious. The consistency of the gelato is smooth, as expected. I especially love the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream, which is always delicious. One of the reasons I prefer this Redondo Beach location is their generous portions. They also allow you to choose two different flavors on a sugar cone, which some other locations (like Glendale) do not allow, they require the same flavor. That flexibility definitely makes a difference. Parking is plentiful, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is nice since you're enjoying your ice cream outdoors. The employee refused to accommodate a simple request, then accused me of having an attitude and closed the service window in my face. When I asked for a manager, another employee came out and said they supported the coworker and also refused to serve me. I was eventually served only after being told to "not have an attitude." I only completed the purchase because I had promised my kids ice cream, but the overall experience was disrespectful, unprofessional, and felt discriminatory. I would not recommend this place, especially for families.

When scanning the shops for a caffeination boost, I couldn't stop thinking about the "Over Caffeinated Cold Brew Float" I saw advertised at Moom Maam. So intriguing! I circled back and ordered the indulgent morning treat, slightly skeptical of such a mix. I'm happy to report though that yes, it was a monstrosity to have first thing in the morning but I'd do it again in a second. You get to pick what flavor gelato is in the coffee and I went with chocolate to which they replied, great choice! I agree, it was such a good mix with the cold coffee brew. The gelato was so creamy with amazing flavor, I can't wait to come back and try more off their menu!

Luckily this was one of the stands that had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. Between the language barrier and my excitement for dessert, I somehow ended up ordering more than I planned. The ice cream was good and the Asian-inspired flavors were definitely different from the usual. It didn't completely blow my socks off, but it was a solid treat. I kept thinking a little syrup or extra topping would've taken it up another level. Overall, glad I tried it. Half the fun of these food events is randomly discovering stuff you normally wouldn't eat anyway. I'd probably check out their Torrance brick-and-mortar location sometime and give them another shot.

$4 Freezes, yes please!…read more I've frequented Bruster's Real Ice Cream a few times for their ice cream but it was the first time recently that I tried their freezes. The freeze consist of 4 scoops of their sherbet, sorbet or Italian ice along with a whole bottle of Sprite. Once in a while, Brusters will have special nights when they do $4 freezes and this was exactly how i got to try my first freeze. The freezes are quite the deal and treat for the summer. They are so refreshing and tasty. I chose to get a peach freeze and enjoyed it a lot. My friend got a black raspberry freeze and this was also quite tasty. For four scoops of a sherbet, a freeze is definitely a treat and an indulgence! I think I may have found my new favorite treat at Brusters.
