The wife and I were at the gun counter. We has some questions about a couple items. If they are busy, you have to use the QR code to add your name and wait. We did and waited, and waited. There is a timer that shows how long you're waiting. After 6 minutes, an employee walked by the wife and went to help a man and his son. There were no other names on the wait list. Didn't even say anything to us at all. I also know that those two other customers were there AFTER us. I told myself that when it gets to 29 minutes that we would leave. At 25 minutes, a guy called out the wife's name. When he came up to us we asked what is the purpose of having put our name in the system only to have an employee walked by and not acknowledge my wife at all and help someone else who was there and not on the list. The guy seemed bothered at the other employee helping the others. However, the guy who helped us was very nice and helpful. His name is Remington. Appropriately named for the gun counter. Other than the wife being ignored and how long we waited, we ended up buying some ammo and a red dot site and again Remington was very friendly and helpful. read more

I needed to pick up an item that I had ordered online to the store, and I was surprised at how large the store was. They did have an option to do curbside pick up which maybe I should have done but I took the opportunity to explore the store and look around. Thankfully there wasn't a lot of people in the huge store. Otherwise I would have needed to walk out and do curbside pick up instead. I had accidentally went into a customer service line which might've just been to pick up firearms, but thankfully an employee noticed that I was standing in the line and wanted to know if I was there for picking up a firearm and I told him no, so he directed me to another location in order to pick up my item. The employee was really nice, and I appreciated that he was able to help me out without me even needing to ask him. they have a huge variety of hunting and camping equipment. I saw a lot of fishing poles and kayaks or canoes. There was a large aquarium at the front as well as a Christmas tree where people were taking photos. There were also stuffed ducks and other stuffed animals like bears and foxes or coyotes. At the exit there was a lot of candies for sale. In other areas of the store, there were a lot of clothes for sale, and in another section there were home good items like decorations, and posters. read more

10/23/24 I was denied a firearm . I challenged this and submitted fingerprints to the federal bureau of investigation. On 11/12/23 the FBI cleared my background and gave me an AMD number. If over 30 days passed, a new background check with my AMD number would be needed to process it, if 30 days did not pass, another background check wouldn't be needed. I visited Bass pro on 11/16, and 11/18 before expiration and was told that I would need to speak with Levi or James who was not there in order to pick up the firearm that I purchased . I asked when they would be there and they told me they did not know and told me to look on bass pro site for the email. I emailed the general manager Levi on Saturday November 23rd and he never responded. I even left a voice message that he never called back. I was finally able to speak to Chris, the firearm manager and was told that I needed to call the FBI and get a second AMD number because Bass pro policy is different from the FBI. I called the number listed on my firearm related challenge twice and was told both times that the FBI do not issue 2 AMD numbers, that the store needs to submit another background check and use to use the AMD number that was previous given and that Bass pro needs to read the paperwork. The FBI fire-arms challenged department called Bass pro and spoke with someone named Tyler and concluded that the policy is once an AMD number is given , a new background check should be submitted and of everything came back okay , I could pick up my firearm that o ordered. The FBI department assured me that maybe Bass Pro were confused about how this process works and may need more training on the issue but nothing was holding me back from picking up my firearm. I spoke to Chris again and he told me that he wasn't sure why I was calling back that he already told me that I needed to call the FBI for a new AMP number and that Bass Pro policy is they cannot do a second background without another AMP, even though my certificate said otherwise. I called the FBI again and they called Nass pro for the second time to explain the fire arm related challenge certificate . Bass Pro employees need to be properly trained when someone is denied by the FBI. Not everyone that is denied has a record. No one should be wasting their gas, getting ignored, and receiving false information because workers do not understand the process. I finally received a call from Bass Pro to pick up the firearm that I purchased, which the original that I wanted was sent back and I had to reorder a new one due to the store not responding and giving me false information about their policy regarding devices firearm issues. While picking up my gun, the store manager Levi told me that he didn't respond to me because typically when people are decked the first time, the FBI does not clear them for a gun. I felt that I was stereotyped to have a record because I am black and that he failed to respond to my calls or email and was another reason that I received the run around and push back that I did. I forgot to mention that I was also told that even if I was cleared by the FBI if Levi felt that I was not safe or will put anyone in harm's way he could still deny me. That comment could have been kept . I will never be shopping at Bass pro again , poor customer service and mediocre communication skills. If I could give zero stars I would! I forgot to mention when I made it to the store, I scanned the QR code to put my name in the queue and Cody removed my name without calling me (I was standing there the entire time) and called someone by the name of Joshua before me. People at the main checkout & fishing section were nice, unfortunately the gun counter was a different story. I got weird looks my girlfriend who was with me at the counter felt uncomfortable and even though the sign in the ammunition isle says 18 for long rifle ammo and 21 for handgun ammo I was denied to purchase .22lr ammunition which was going to be used for my ruger .22 rifle. Not sure if it was store policy or what but the main gun store I go to and Ace hardware allow me to buy all ammunition. I was also told by the firearm store I can legally purchase any ammo if it's being used for a rifle. It'd be nice if I received clarity but from now on when it comes to firearm related purchases I will not be taking my business here. read more

My husband and I came into buy a glock, he has his ccw to add, we met with Sam, and he was awesome. He purchased the Glock and after the purchase he did the background which was a little backwards for us. Garret the store employee came up and noticed my husband made a mistake on the address, studied his ID and started asking a bunch of questions treating us like we were lying. Sam Let us go back and correct the mistake. Garret went in the back and Sam followed. They came Back and told us they can't sell us the gun and Garret continued to tell us that lying on a federal form is a felony, implying that a mistake meant we were lying. So my husband returned the glock and we went to sportsman's warehouse where the employee took My husbands ccw, his info and we walked out with a glock. Garret bases his gun sales off looks (considering we're heavily tattooed), and his own feelings. We will never return and give our business elsewhere. My family and I have been frequenting Basspro for years. While every other retail or service based company is declining in quality and care, basspro thankfully hasn't! Tom and Keith in the fly fishing shop were so very helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. They each spent time with us getting us outfitted and sharing their knowledge. Two great guys! I'm not a hunter. Havent fished in years. Havent camped in years. Dont offroad. Havent hiked in years. So for the past two years the only reason I've gone is to take (free) pictures with Santa. And the kids love all the taxidermy and animal tracks on the floor and the fish. Lol. When I did go I would go to buy ammo and clothing. We were in the area and decided to stop in. This is an outdoorsy store that is a twin to Cabelas. There is no shortage on parking and there are some nice boats and ATVs out front. When you walk in it's like a giant cabin. There's 2 floors and basically anything you need for outdoor activities they have it. They also have a giant tank with sportsman local caught fish which was neat too look at. They have a restaurant spot but assume it's closed temp due to covid. Was having a good trip until the short little boy behind the customer service gun counter had no concept of customer service or communication skills. We waited in the gun virtual line with no issue the first time around, then when shopping around and joined the line again for tannerite. 10 minutes pass and he calls the last name and we raise our hand, he acknowledges us and he said he was going to get a water 'real quick' and be back, 15+ minutes pass and they started calling names that just joined the virtual line as seen on their TV. We stood directly at the counter(no joke 2-3 feet MAYBE from him) and said hi and he completely disregarded us. They started calling names that just joined the virtual line as seen on their TV. And that's when we spoke up saying we still haven't been helped... He gives a little attitude "well I already called Sanchez..." and we were like "yeah we know, you said you were getting water and would be back" and he starts blaming it on his coworker that passed by who had NO idea what he was talking about... back and forth blaming eachother until we stopped them asking to PLEASE get our stuff so we could go. Bless the guy (tall, younger, and who had helped initially when we were looking at guns the first go around) who actually helped us because the little boy not only left a bad taste, but was clearly unhelpful to the other customers asking him questions. The guy that actually helped us was so apologetic, even apologizing ON BEHALF of the other kid. And the bigger problem is that if you call to confirm if something is in stock, you get someone rude that talks down to you. The service isn't any better as you call their corporate office. I've never been in a Bass Pro Shop before today. It was definitely a larger version of Cabelas. While I loved the size, HUGE assortment of everything from clothing to camping/fishing etc . It definitely likes in the customer service department on my visit. My dad, niece and I came in and wandered around up and downstairs for more than an hour and not one employee even said hello to is or asked if we needed any help. Although I will say the guy trying to get you to sign up for a free trip was working his tail off. Not sure if he works for Bass Pro directly. Hello - I ordered a gun safe online (out of stock at Mesa, AZ) location. This is large order you know, nearly $1k which is kind of a lot for me at least. I bought a tent brand new at Bass Pro Shops to go camping with my daughters. Upon getting to camp site and opening my $800 tent I found a very USED moldy, holes, blood stains, and drugs in my tent. Kodiak tent. It was absolutely insane. Everyone in camp was like in unbelief. See pics. I mean there was no tent pole bag, no tent bag, missing parts, and it looked like it was 20 years old. the entire tent was full of dirt, it had the smell of Meth and was covered in with dust. It was disgusting. The fact that they sold me a tent in this condition is with out words! I returned the tent after we slept outside because the tent was so bad. When I returned it the manager on duty didn't even say he was sorry or even care. Gave me a very small gift card for my trouble and didn't say a word. I was so pissed! Went in to buy a gun holster and needed help in finding one that fit my gun. Stood in line (or at least I thought it was the line since I was behind someone who was checking out). When it was my turn to get help Victor said I need to go make the line. I stated I've been waiting even before a line formed. He then proceeded to the gun holster aisle where my husband was standing and he said to us "it says it on the box so on which one fits your gun". He was very impolite and impatient. First experience with Bass Pro Shops and will not be back. Purchased a firearm online on 08/03/21, was informed it would take 5-10 days to ship to the store which is understandable. After many days pass, I start to call and check where it is, they are unable to track it for me saying they aren't able to see where it is. On the 3rd call, they found the order in the safe, apparently it has been there for a while. This was on 08/21. If I didn't continue to call, it would still be "lost in the safe" and I would never had known it was ready. When I went to pick up the firearm, there was one person in front of me in line and the wait was 45 minutes before I was finally helped. Extremely understaffed hunting section which is the only way to pick up an online order by the way. There were only 1-2 people working in this section and the whole line was getting impatient. I can't believe management thinks this is an effective way to staff that section but that's besides the point, I guess anything to save a little money on employment costs. When I left, the line was ~10 people deep, I can only imagine how long that will take for those in the back. When I got up front, I was told I cannot pick up the firearm because my address on my ID is an old address (which is understandable). I would need to come back with a second form of ID and wait in the line again. Not happening. I canceled the order at that time, no issues with the refund. I HIGHLY SUGGEST you find a different company to purchase firearm or anything hunting related. Save yourself the headache! With bass pro shops, you'll get long waits, long lines, and long shipping time with workers can't help with tracking. TBH this is the first negative review I've ever written, but this deserved it. I can't believe how many things go wrong with one order, never experienced anything like it at any other store. Went to the Bass Pro Shop this morning. I wanted to have a fish finder, 3 bank onboard charger, and 3 batteries installed. The guy in the service department said that they don't do accessory installs on boats older than 2014. I have a 20' Renegade FS 20 in mint condition. He asked if I had a picture, and I showed it to him. He said the labor for the fish finder would be 3 hours. I installed the last one. Took 30 minutes. Batteries were a couple more hours as well as the charger. They must think I just fell off the turnip wagon. I'm a little older now, but I will be doing the work myself. read more

We went there to just browse as a family and this place is the PLACE. No matter what you need, they got it. I was shocked when I saw the upper floor existed after browsing the first floor fishing and clothes for an hour and a half. I talked to a bow hunting salesman and he was the coolest nicest employee. He got in depth telling me and my dad how to get started with bow hunting and the prices for the bows and supplies were jaw droppingly great. I am now 100% convinced to go back and get a bow and supplies because of the great service. The store was super clean and neat, and was such a pretty place.
