Usually love going to bass pro shops because of the environment and the amazing staff but during my visit today I was picking up two t shirts after looking around and Maddie H at check out snatched them out of my hands at check out and was very rude to me during that short bit of interaction. Didn't say hello, didn't ask me anything, took my shirts and rudely handed me my stuff by sliding everything across the counter.. Being in retail myself I know that you should be overly friendly and helpful.. asking the customers if they found everything, saying hello, ask them about their day, that's not what I got from this young girl. She was short, rude, and VERY unprofessional in my opinion. If she is that miserable she shouldn't be working register. She should be thankful she has a job and not take her horrible attitude out on her customers. I will be back, but management should definitely take this up, because people like Maddie H make it an unpleasant experience for people who love going to Bass. I haven't been this overwhelmed with excitement since I went to Disneyland. Immediately upon entering I was taken back by the decor, fish tanks, waterfall and life like animals on display. I spent two hours in here, I wanted to see every inch. The only bad part of the experience was the lady at the fudge stand. She was not a happy camper but the delicious fudge made up for it. Stood in line 25 minutes and then he tried to tell me he couldn't help me because they were closing in 45 minutes. The older I get, the more I resemble Larry The Cable Guy, so I guess it should come as no surprise that I find myself clothes shopping at Bass Pro Shop. I've been to other franchises of the chain and have always marveled at the sheer scale of this retail operation. Probably ranks up there as best place to hide out and loot during an impending worldwide zombie attack. I was drawn here by their advertised sale on polo shirts, which were a great value at around $13 a pop. Of course, these were the lowest quality of all of the polo shirt selection on hand, so I just bought one, but I threw down a little extra cash for some other better-quality shirts. I liked the color palette they offered, unlike my experience at other retail clothing outlets where the color schemes are tailored to the youngest generation of hip-hop wannabes who apparently can't work enough lime green or pink into their wardrobe. I even bought a "performance fabric" T-shirt for working out in. It was so light and breathable, it felt like wearing an air drape. I'm afraid I can no longer hang with a ratty old cotton T-shirt for my gym togs. It winds up a soggy mess in the bottom of my gym bag anyhow. Now I have wicking technology, antimicrobial, bitchin' synthetic fibers righteously keeping me cool. And the prices were quite reasonable if you avoid some of the overpriced items. And any trip to the Bass Pro Shop is bound to be a window-shopping adventure. I mean, where else can you have access to all manner of sporting goods, durable outdoor gear, and barbeque accessories? They even have a restaurant in the store, which I am told has a decent beer selection. That's for another visit. I always allow at least 2 hours even when I know what I'm going in for because I end up looking at a few other things while I'm there. This store has two levels with so much to look at. I will never use their gun department for an FFL again. Not only did they let my FFL expire, lied about notifying me, they refused to give me the shotgun after 30 days of the FBI not notifying them. Which by law they can do. So now we are shipping it back to Palmetto and we'll start the process all over again only this time with a real gun dealer instead of a bait and tackle store. They don't answer their phone, worst customer service I've experienced in a longtime. Using AZ Guns and they only charge $20 for an FFL whereas Bass Pro Bait and Tackle charges $50. read more

I bought some bullets for my guns and some cleaning products for my bullets and guns. Everything was really well stacked on price. There is so much to purchase here from Bear spray to camping gear. Fantastic selection of STUFF. I'm not an hunter but I think the display is interesting. The big aquarium is neat for checking out a few of the various kinds of fish that inhabit the lakes and streams of our country, but it's kinda hard for me to actually tell em apart. They have a good clothing selection for men and women as well as some good deals on the off season apparel. Bass Pro Shop also provides seasonal activities for the entire family. There's the target for adults and kids upstairs. A great selection of camping supplies. Grills, dehydrators, coolers, smokers, meat grinders, fishing supplies, traps, just so many different things. Due to the corona virus they had a line formed and were following guidelines required, it moved very quickly and efficiently. Was grabbing ammo and comparing prices and it was going off the shelves fast. Nearly a month later I was finally contacted and told the manufacturer said there is nothing wrong with it so therefore bass pro will do nothing other than refer me to a gunsmith that I can pay, even though their own employees had attempted to fit the proper caliber into the barrel. The person who called, from the gun department, repeatedly asked if I had test fired it & then why not. AFTER being reminded that the ammo would not load into the barrel and that it was literally impossible to fire a gun when the ammo doesn't fit . The lack of customer assistance, the lack of competence, the lack of actually inspecting a firearm by an employee who took nearly 20 minutes "checking everything" in a back room before handing the gun to me when I purchased it & the refusal to offer a refund or exchange on a defective product should result in an suspension of FFL at this location pending investigation & verification of proper employee training Edit: I would like to add that they blatantly lie when confronted. I never received "multiple voice-mails" to "the number I gave the customer service woman". My number was left on a voice-mail, not with a person, and I had no voice-mails. When I told manager to get the call records he offered, he ignored me and changed subject. Also, when I asked for a copy of the records & pictures that were sent to Taurus, I was told I needed a court order. In a different issue my daughter was told by a corporate manager that is not store policy and that when someone says that it means the records do not exist. I also found out; unfortunately after making the mistake of buying at Bass Pro, that my other daughter was sold a "new" firearm with no firing pin. When she tried to get them to fix it, she was told it was her problem . So to sum up.. They sell defective products. They do not provide customer support. They lie. Called to check on the order a couple of days later and was told it had shipped direct to me from the factory, but they could not provide me with a tracking number. 4 days later, I checked my order online and it stated the order was canceled! Horrible experience!! Apparently Bass Pro Shops doesn't like making money or satisfying a customer's needs. I came in to spend $4,000 on a Garmin Force trolling motor in the 57-inch model with a 10% discount that they were offering online. I called ahead to ensure that they had that model in stock because I couldn't find it on their website. I was only able to locate the 50-inch model and obtain a 10% discount on that. So while on a phone call with a gentleman named Brandon, I confirmed the model was in stock and was told I can come in and purchase the 57-inch model with a 10% discount in store using my club card. I had just received a club card a week prior for this specific purchase. Bass Pro Shops often has 10% off days online and in store. Last month every Tuesday in the month of June was a 10% off day in store and online. So here I am excited, I've been waiting years to purchase this trolling motor. It's been a dream of mine. The way Adrian the manager spoke to me indicated that he enjoyed a position of power where he decided whether or not you were going to make a purchase. It was quite frankly disgusting and he should not be a manager there. All in all this is the last purchase I'll be making from Bass Pro Shops. They failed at every point along the way of this purchase. It should have been a simple 20 minute transaction tops and ended up being 3 hours over the course of 2 days. I do not recommend this store to anybody who is seriously spending money on fishing/boat equipment. Go with another Outfitter and check your local shops. This has to be the most bittersweet purchase I've ever made in my life. I mean how often do you buy your dream trolling motor only to have it spoiled by the people selling it to you? We came at Christmas when I was at my wits end that the mall was charging $35 for a picture with Santa. Who can afford that, especially at Christmas? Least of all, who would want to? We ended up waiting for about an hour but I had my kindle and I held out place in line while the boys rode the carousel and played the games. They have tons of shiny new models (boats, quads, razors, etc.) to check out and as well as all the up to date camping, hunting and fishing supplies. There are also large sections of clothes and shoes (upstairs) for every activity with ample fitting rooms. The décor is impressive with wildlife at every turn and the employees are amazingly helpful! I recently purchased a boat (Bass Tracker Classic XL.) The customer service from start to finish was better than expected. From sales to financing and delivery every person I worked with went out of their way. I had some lighting issues on my vehicle and expected to spend $300+ to get them fixed. Instead they walked me out to the sales floor and found a $13 adapter that solved the issue. The one issue I have with BPS is that there is usually a long line and few cashiers. Heard about the holiday photo service Bass Pro Shops holds every year so decided to take the family over. The place is ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE, and they do a really good job of handing out scheduled time slips for photos (so you don't have to wait in a massive line, you just go at your scheduled time). The best part is while you're waiting for your scheduled time, there's a ton of stuff to have the kids explore while they're there. We went drive remote controlled cars with my kids, play kinetic sand, digital shooting range, a built in stream with trout (yes real trout), and a waterfall that's near a glass elevator. It's almost like a miniature resort it's so cool here. If you're hungry they also have restaurants in the same building. All the employees were extremely nice and courteous and won't hesitate to take my family here again. read more
