Such a fun time!! Nor and Aaron were such great instructors and our group had a blast. Nor's energy is what made the experience superb and when big birtha came out to play, my group went crazy! If you want a fun time to let out some frustration, learn a new skill, or do something different from the norm, this is the place. They also have great beer/cocktail selections and a few different food options (think bar food). Thank you for taking care of us!!

I came here as a last outing of the night kind of event and I'm so glad that I did. Not only was the venue really nice and clean and open, but the staff made my experience so much better. While they didn't have the food I wanted that they had listed, they did their best to make it right and get me fed regardless. I spent about an hour and a half here and I could've spent several more! Absolutely recommend BATL for your next outing.

1st timers and we thank our instructor Noodle for the great teaching. Great atmosphere. Booking this one hour event was easy and convenient. Happy St Patrick's Day 3/17/26, no food available due to the facility next door's event. No worries here. We had fun.

This was my first time trying axe throwing, so I had no idea what to expect. My friend made a reservation for one hour of axe throwing for a group of six of us. We met up there about 30 minutes before our scheduled time to eat a quick dinner. They do not have food available, but you are allowed to bring in your own food. We brought in quesadillas from Dilla Libre, which is just across the street. After we signed in (and signed liability waivers!) we were given a lesson by a very patient female staff member. She was training someone at the time and they both provided feedback to all of us. They spent a lot of time making sure we somewhat knew what we were doing and explained all the axe throwing games that they have available. I was having a hard time getting the hang of the axe throwing, and another extremely patient and knowledgeable staff member came over and gave me some pointers. All of a sudden, his advice kicked in, and I was hitting the target. Whoo hoo! I would love to go back and try this again. They also have pool tables available and a full bar.

My friend and I came here on a Sunday evening and it was pretty empty which was nice. The cashier/manager of the axe throwing was very friendly and gives an instructional how-to at the beginning so if you've never done axe throwing before (like us!) you'll be set. The axe throwing itself was a lot easier than I thought it'd be. They also offer the option to throw stars and knives in addition to the axes. They also offer food to be ordered and served from the O'Paddy's next door. There are bathrooms and plenty of parking. This would be a great place to come with friends (although it's only 2 people to a lane, there are many lanes). I'd come again!

Nor and Noodle were great trainers! We had a blast with our daughter and her boyfriend while they were in town. We'll be back!!

Nor and Noodle were great trainers and very attentive. Good ambiance, not too busy. Thanks for a great time with our 20 year old kids!

We had a blast here last weekend! Our party of six did the vip package and I'm glad we did. The first drink being included in that package, plus axes, knives and tournament style scoring was perfect! Shout out to David, who is THEE ultimate vibe for a night of axe throwing! We had fun, we learned a lot and we really got into it. Thanks for a great time! CLUTCH!

First time doing axe throwing and this was a great place for it. Very friendly staff that got us started with some throwing lessons. Good options at the bar for everyone.

I've been wanting to try axe throwing for a while and finally had the opportunity to do so. I don't know why I procrastinated so long. Me and my family had a GREAT time!!! Check-in was easy, the venue was spacious and clean. I think we picked a good time to go as it wasn't crowded. We went at 2pm on a Sunday. Our coach "Noodle" was awesome!!! She seemed to enjoy her job. It was refreshing to work with her. She gave us our instructions and let us throw away. We tried axes, knives and stars. I hope Noodle gets her free from this review.

    Mom enjoying the activity

Great experience with axe, and knife throwing. Had time to kill after the game so trying a new activity. Haley and Dan were great at explaining the throwing process for each tool. And let us try throwing some Ninja stars as well. So worth the cost we had a blast. Hope this make its to Northern California in the future.

The food has been…read moreconsistently amazing, and nearly every server I have encountered has been friendly and professional--except for one: Jackie. Unfortunately, my experiences with Jackie have repeatedly left a bitter taste in my mouth, and my most recent experience was the final straw. A very close friend and I recently came in, sat down, and were greeted very rudely by Jackie. She abruptly told us that there was an inspector in the restaurant and that Duke's is a 21+ establishment. She then told us that it would be "fine this time," but that in the future I would need to have an adult with me. For context, I am 18 years old, and neither my friend nor I were ordering alcohol. We simply came in hoping to enjoy some good food. I have been coming to Duke's for a long time, and age has never been an issue during any of my previous visits. I have never been told that I could not dine there because of my age, which made this interaction especially confusing and frustrating. What made the situation even more frustrating was that, from what I could see, there was no clear signage at the restaurant informing us of a 21+ age restriction, nor could I find any clear indication of an age requirement on the restaurant's website. If this is in fact a strict 21+ policy, I believe that information should be clearly communicated to customers before they arrive. Regardless of the restaurant's age policy, there was absolutely no reason for us to be spoken to in such a dismissive and condescending manner. A policy can be explained respectfully, and this interaction did not feel respectful. My friend and I were both so uncomfortable and frustrated by the interaction that we ultimately decided to leave without ordering. It is disappointing that after years of coming to Duke's and consistently having positive experiences, one server's repeated behavior has now made me question whether I want to return. I am leaving this review because I believe management should be aware of how customers are being treated. I have no issue with being informed of a restaurant's age policy, but there is a significant difference between respectfully explaining a policy and making customers feel unwelcome or as though they have done something wrong. I genuinely enjoy Duke's and have had many great experiences there, which is why this situation is especially disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, both regarding the way customers are being treated and the need to clearly communicate any age restrictions to customers.

I sent an email directly to the company (management@mothertuckerstavern.com) on Monday, April 6th…read more2026 in an attempt to have this resolved without posting a negative review. Unfortunately, I have not heard back. Below is a copy of that email: Good morning, We came in on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 and ordered the Two 4 One Bubbles special. This is something we have ordered frequently in your establishment, most recently on March 8th, 2026. Every time we have purchased this, the Wycliff bottles have been $25. This means that we should receive 2 bottles for $25.01 based on the special listed on your menu. When we received the check, we were charged $50.01 for the 2 bottles. We pointed out the mistake to the bar tender who said the price was correct. We informed her that we have come here approximately once/month for the last year and the cost has never been $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She asked another employee to come over and we explained the same issue to her. She (we did not get her name) said she has been a Manager there for several years and that has always been the price. I told her we have ordered this special over the last year and we would never pay $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She refused to adjust our check. I asked her to show me on a menu where a bottle of Wycliff costs $50. Of course, she was not able to do that because it doesn't exist. We generally are very generous with our tip, as we consider this a good deal and the staff is usually great. - I have attached a copy of the receipt. We would like to continue to frequent Mother Tuckers, as we have always had a good time and like to bring friends visiting from out of town. I am hopeful this was an oversight by your employees and a refund will be put back on my credit card for the overcharge.

We walked in and for a Sunday afternoon, it was pretty empty. However, we thought why not, plenty of game day viewing options with all the TV's. It was decorated cute for Halloween and the bartenders seamed to know most the customers. Appeared to be a regulars bar. We sat down at the bar and ordered drinks. I didn't catch her name but the bartender was very friendly and attentive. Right after the drinks arrived the music started. It was so loud! You could feel the base in your chest! We could hardly hear each other talk over the music. Turns out there was a DJ we didn't notice when we walked into the bar. Now, the DJ's music playlist was great. However, it was so loud and played over all the games except they would pause during one of the games once in a while. I suspect they were trying to draw in a crowd but clearly that was not the way to do it when it's game day and people were obviously there to watch the games. We wanted to try something to eat off the menu but only stayed for a drink and left. It was just a miserable atmosphere with the loud music at 1pm in the afternoon. Lastly, we noticed the receipt had a "venue fee" charge. What is that and why? Why are we paying to sit at a bar? Just be aware of added fees charged to your ticket.

I took it as a sign. It was meant to be. I immediately sat down, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and left work behind. The AC came on at the perfect time. While it's not in the heart of Old Town, it's within walking distance. We stopped by on a Thursday around 9:30 p.m. While we were on foot, I noticed that they have a parking lot. Ambiance (4/5): Relatively small for a brewery, but your typical chill, brewery vibes. They have some seats at the bar, some high tops, and a small patio. We sat out on the patio since the weather was nice. The seats out there are a bit uncomfortable, but we couldn't pass up on patio weather. They have free water in the corner which is always a plus so you don't have to wait in line. Service (5/5): The bartender working was super nice. It's always appreciated when servers go above and beyond in providing a great experience. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more in my service experience at Goldwater. He exceeded my expectations. Food (N/A): I already ate previously so no food for me. There was a Mexican food truck in the parking lot. Drinks (4/5): I love trying local brews. At breweries, I typically get a flight so I can try out a variety of beers. This time though, I went with a pint. I couldn't say no to the Sour Rangers. I grew up watching the Power Rangers, so that was all the motivation I needed. An added bonus was that this beer is a sour. Not something you have every day, nor a style of beer that you come across very often. So I had to take advantage of the opportunity. And it was a good one. Goldwater is my type of place. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the area!
