It was excellent, just the right amount off good grade ahi with greens, etc. My friends had burgers, one was the plant-based, and they enjoyed their meals plus the dirty martinis. My husband had the rice bowl and said it was really good as well. I also liked the age diversity in the restaurant. We are seniors and sat near a family with kids. There were also couples. I've been wanting to try this place out since they opened. It was a late lunch and there weren't very many guests and only 1 wait staff. Service was a little slow but good. We ordered the obscene poutine with egg which was pretty good and a great place to get it in the IE., chicken and waffles had some corn sprinkled on top, I thought this was the star of the show. The chicken was moist and the waffle was outstanding. (I would ask for the syrup on the side). And the rolling stone salad was excellent. I walked by this restaurant while taking my little guy to the comic store, which piqued my interest. After having a rough two weeks, I decided to treat my kiddos (3) and me to a nice lunch. I have many theories as to why we received poor service, but I will point out the owners were sitting nearby and did not step in to make sure we received the service we deserved. That was highly disappointing as the restaurant was not crowded at all, and we were clearly not being valued/acknowledged. The menu is limited, and the food is lukewarm, underwhelming, and overpriced. We paid over $60 for three kids' meals, an adult plate, and three soft drinks. Not once were we offered a refill while we ate. We were not offered any condiments with our meals. I mean, really, not even receiving the minimum service. I love eating out and enjoying the ambiance, so I do not mind spending my money on excellent service and food. If you are nice to my kiddos, you get a nice tip, but this place did not merit that. read more

This was a very interesting visit at Batter Rebellion. My wife and I tried this restaurant for the first btw in downtown Redlands this last Sunday. I had a waffle and a tuna melt with a couple of bikini blonde ales to keep things interesting . My wife had the vegetarian pasta and topped off my waffle because I was stuffed . Food was pretty good and nice menu of alcoholic beverages to choose from. Funny part was a group of idiots who were drinking heavily and sitting at a booth down the way, demolishing the restaurants pineapple juice and were eating through their supplies. Obviously the restaurant had to apply a small fee and these fools lost their cool and began to argue with one of the gentleman who was on staff. Got decently heated because they were sauced and went on for about half an hour then played hopscotch out front like drunk dummies in public after they were asked to leave. Drink and a show I guess! Guys, if you can't handle the sauce then lay the fuck off lol I will probably be going back again since I live near downtown Redlands. read more

It took about 6 minutes to even get waters and another 20-30 minutes until the food came after we ordered. Wanted to try this place out but knew it might be busy. Called ahead to make reservations to make sure we would get a table. We arrived and told them we had a reservations and they just looked confused. Told us they didn't have anything. We looked around the restaurant and most of the tables were empty. Even though it would have been very easy and simple to push two tables together to seat us, we were seated at a long table where we couldn't even talk to each other. Eventually someone came a brought us water but we decided we were going to leave. When we told them we were leaving, they still didn't care to push some tables together. Went here for the first time for my birthday yesterday. I've always walked by this place and have been super curious so I wanted to give it a try. It's a very mellow place on a Saturday afternoon which was exactly what I was looking for being with my family. The food options were great and everything was delicious! My mom tried the Black Sheep burger, dad & husband got the Glaze burger, my daughter got "whatever" on the kids menus (the owners have to be parents because the names for the kiddo choices were spot on and made me laugh) and I got the Veg pasta- we all shared the poke nachos & EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. No complaints, food was really well done and my 2 year old loved dancing to the music which was a cherry on top! Waitress was friendly but it did seem to take a minute for her to get around to us initially with drinks but no problems with delivering the food and check. Overall, I would really love to come back here for a date night with my husband and try the other food options! This is definitely one of those places you want to try it all because it all looks so good and different! I do wish they had gluten free and vegan options because my body just doesn't react well to those things but the food was well worth it! read more

My first bite found me struggling with a very tough part of the fried bird. I looked at it and it seemed to be a large chunk of fried batter. They accommodated reservation of 8 for my birthday brunch on 12/11/2021. Showed up on time 12pm and they seated us right away and had our table ready. It was our first time there and loved the ambiance and entire service from waiter and food. The mimosa mason jar tumbler was a hit, so good that we order 2. Food was delicious and no complaints. This unique spot has all the makings of a great restaurant HOWEVER there is no consistency and they don't follow their own damn menu. It took 15 minutes to get anyone's attention and another 15 minutes to get coffee. They didn't even have decaf???? We order beignets(which are awesome) but the menu says that they are served with three berry compotes blueberry, blackberry and strawberry. They served them with chocolate????? Never a mention of "we're out of compotes" or anything???? I order the Hashed Out, with the egg over medium the egg was over hard. I brought to their attention and they brought another egg over hard. So in good conscience I can't recommend this restaurant that has all the makings of a great spot but CAN NOT DELIVER!!! Too bad....so sad read more

Wow just wow!!! Went here last night with hubby and daughter we needed a night out. We walked in and easily found a table although it was super busy. We saw two people handling a crowd of about 80 they handled it like pros!!! Very courteous even though they were non stop busy. The food was delish and the drinks were stiff!!!
