    Ahi tuna on a salad.
    Ray N.

My friend Kathy lives in Redlands and so I was excited to go on Yelp to look for a restaurant in her town. My first time in Redlands California about 30 minutes from Rancho Cucamonga. I loved the name and the reviews and the Falconer of Redlands was even better than advertised. Food - 5 stars - the fried calamari was stupendous. Fried just right and good pieces of the squid seasoned perfectly. Good sauce and lots of lemons requested. The Ahi Tuna over the salad was a really nice sized portion with delicious fish and a healthy green mix including edamame. Kathy loved her Sea Bass. The fun menu also features a nice selection of steaks and some cool and familiar British pub grub. We did not drink any alcohol and our fun waitress Yvonne kept checking up on us for my frequent requests for extra balsamic and lemons and soda refills. The top notch service was great and we were not rushed. We sat downstairs in a nice area by the bar. It was not too loud. The entire staff seemed really chill. Heard some music playing upstairs and saw some customers going up as well.Apparently there is a piano on that floor and they do have Karaoke. Definitely next time. The restaurant/bar is on a Main Street so I had to drive a bit to find free street parking 2 blocks up but it was a fun walk checking out the local mom and pop shops and nice bars with patios. The Falconer was a really nice time.

First time back since the changeover. They did a nice job with the remodel. Kept a lot of the old pub vibe, which I'm glad about. We've got a lot of memories there--drinking with buddies--and it still feels familiar. Just two of us for lunch. We had the salmon and the fish & chips. Salmon was cooked right. Not dry at all. That lemon pepper seasoning (or whatever they're using) worked really well with the fish. Simple, but it hit. I had the fish & chips. Fish was hand-dipped and fried, came out super crispy. Fries... yeah, those are bulk frozen. Still fine, just calling it what it is. Service was very good. Attentive, friendly, no issues. Place was super clean too--and I gotta say, I don't smell the urinals anymore and Paul's not verbally abusing the patrons. I also appreciated the lighter, less expensive lunch menu. Nice option when you're not trying to go full send on dinner. It was pretty empty for a Friday at 1pm, which surprised me a bit. Overall, solid lunch. Good to see the place kept its old soul while cleaning things up.

Perfect for a date night. Ambiance is dark and perfectly paired with a glass of wine as well with the food. Food was good and the service was great.

Lava cake ( more of a dense chocolate cake , no lava but very delicious )

Formerly the Royal Falconer I am so happy they decided to switch things up and rebrand this amazing restaurant. Our server Lisa was beyond extraordinary and very helpful in our selections and history about the restaurant. I am so glad this restaurant is more family friendly. We visited and reserved a table during their newest magician at the table event. He was absolutely amazing and made my mother-in-law giggle like a schoolgirl. this is an extremely wonderful event that they I hope they bring back weekly as it will draw in customers and was an absolute delight. My husband ordered the old-fashioned note that they also do their ice cubes with an embossed large ice cube which some of the other restaurants do not we love the large ice cubes and the embossment is a nice touch. My mother-in-law and husband shared the burger, which was ample enough for both of them and delicious and I had the calamari which was more than enough for me as a meal. The calamari was well breaded and the cocktail sauce was perfect. We ended up trying both the orange crème brûlée and the lava cake. Both were delicious! We will definitely be here again. The whole staff was just wonderful.

My friend ordered the Salmon entree from when 8 of us ate there a month ago . She loved her meal.

I had been to the old Falconer one over 10 years ago. When the owners bought Falconer they made some changes which I liked. I went to dinner here a month ago and my 8 friends and I loved our food. Last night my husband, sister and brother-in-law went and sat upstairs in the piano bar. It was quaint and loved having the music. Well all thought out meals were one of the best we've ever had. The service was amazing. We will definitely be back again. For the quality of the food , we thought it was reasonably priced.

Tried the new Falconer (August 30, 2025). What an upgrade!! Place still has the British pub look but more upscale and nice high top and bench table seating. SERVICE: Top notch! Very friendly when you enter. They got us seated immediately and were super nice. Our server was very personable and attentive and helped us pick out some great drinks!! FOOD: We started with the grilled artichokes and crispy rice paper shrimp appetizers (very yummy). For dinner we all chose seafood and were very happy with our selections. Salmon and the shrimp scampi pasta we would all recommend! And, their bartender makes some solid cocktails - their cucumber gimlets were spectacular!! We were too full to try dessert - next time ;) If you haven't tried the new Falconer - Go try them today!!

Made reservations for a night out with friends. Love the new renovations, much more restaurant vibe than a pub. The old pub style was awesome, don't get me wrong and the new style is much more family friendly and date night vibes. Really enjoyed the drinks and dinner. Great prices and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning!

Food was good enough but the utensils were dirty and found a sharp metal strip in the Cocktail sauce, it could cut our mouth. The place just recently change the owners; keep pretty much same decor as before but no loud music which was a lot better. Drinks were good. Services were great too.

You must absolutely try this place. It is incredible. Since the new ownership took over, this is one of the best restaurants in Redlands if not the best. The service the atmosphere and the food is un parallel. You must invest your time and money into trying in this place. It is absolutely worth it.

Stopped in to check out the new version of the restaurant. The place was nicely redone and the food was very delicious and so were the cocktails. Hoping to be back soon.

Food and service was good! Server was very attentive, drinks always refilled. Food pretty good

Wine WED is amazing! $100 includes 2 entrees, app, dessert & most expensive bottle of their wine (Daou)!
    Yelsha R.

Really impressed! Between the happy hour menu and wine Wed menu! Manager Kevin was hustling! Bradley was a great server! Cruz was an amazing cook. It's like Tartan 2.0 with Seafood and better prices! I sincerely hope the quality and happy hour menu doesn't go away. Happy hour menu has $15 bottles of Wine and unbelievable food prices. The ambiance is totally different then prior ownership. (The carpet on the stairs is the only thing that keeps the old falconer vibe but kinda throws off the new look, but who cares. There was no background music. I think a solo artist tucked in a corner somewhere would be a nice touch in the future.) Thank you Salamon Family for everything you have continued to do to improve this city while maintaining its legacy. Can't wait to return!

It wasn't super busy at all, but there was no seating in the front, bartender working told us it was open seating... we went to the back and sat at a high top and after sitting there for 20 minutes with no greeting we got up and left. Multiple waitresses walked by us but they were conversing and singing and paced right by us. Even the bartender watched us leave and said nothing. I am usually pretty laid back when it comes to service, I get that hospitality is pretty wild sometimes but we felt so unwanted to be there and to be looked at by staff and unattended did me in. I will say the ambience is really nice in there and I'm sure the food is good. I just will never know.

My introduction to this spot was... memorable. There were a lot of people hanging around outside, and a guy in a Corvette was blasting 90s hip hop like he was headlining Summer Jam. Great soundtrack, questionable volume, and not exactly the ambience I associate with fried fish. Inside, things were calmer. The line was short (a win), and they actually had more fish options available than the Highland location. That said, the Highland fish usually looks fresher. Prices were the same, and I appreciated the posted seasoning levels, especially since I've had to ask the Highland location to tone down the salt before. My order was simple: catfish nuggets for the kids, whiting, frog legs, and fries. Food came out hot in about 15 minutes. The fish was okay overall... a little over-fried, like it stayed in the oil just long enough to develop trust issues. The fries were forgettable, and the frog legs were dry, which hurt my feelings more than I expected. Even the tartar sauce tasted a little off compared to the other location. In the end, nothing was terrible, but nothing beat the Highland spot for me. Between the parking‑lot concert outside and the underwhelming food inside, I think I'll stick with the Highland location since it's the one I'm most familiar with and consistently enjoy. Not a bad experience, just not my preferred Captain Moe's. Overstimulated outside, underwhelmed inside, and reminded that sometimes the location you already know is the safest bet.
