The most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with would not recomend this store to my worst enemy. Took my iPhone 7 in to get the screen replaced they told me it would be a few hours so I left an went home didn't here from them the rest of the day. I called the next day for them to tell me they couldn't fix it and I could either pick it up or they can recycle it... so I go I'm to pick up the phone and the guys tells me "if you really need it fixed we can take it to our other store and they can fix it" I say ok and he proceeds to tell me it will dropped of at other store later that night and that I would hear back in the next day or two. So 4 days go by and I call for an update only to find out the phone has been sitting on the counter all week and wasn't taken to the other store. I got so frustrated I just went and got my phone. WARRENTIES EXPRESSED AND IMPLIED BUT NOT HONORED, I came to get my iPhone se screen fixed and after some run around it was fixed. It broke again, I called to report the problem the manager asked if I purchased the tempered glass screen protector, and if so it has a life time warranty. Turns out I didn't have the right screen protector...So I paid $124.00 out the door. With a shiny tempered glass screen protector, My head hung high knowing that I was safe. My phone was secure. I had paid for the protection I needed from a seemingly legitimate business...Five days later to my dismay i remove my phone from my pocket and not only is my screen broken, but so is the protector! Never fear! I have a "No questions asked life time warranty". WRONG! I went into our local store and was greeted by a smile and walked to the counter. the young man was more than rude when I told him my story. He was confrontational and condescending. I asked to speak with the manager. He said to return the following day and the manager would be available, I asked to speak with the owner and he said "no you can talk to the manager and then if you are not happy you can talk to the owner" I left. called the next day and the Manager apologized and said only the screen protector is under warranty, I explained how I was told (by him) that with this expensive protector I was purchasing a no questions asked warranty. But it turns out the warranty is what they use to sell the product and when its time to honor the warranty they refuse. For my "confusion" I was offered a screen for cost and free labor so the store wouldn't "loose money". Well lucky for them, I'm not confused. They use the words no questions asked life time warranty to sell you, but in your time of need you will be left Holding the bag. SO I CAUTION EVERYONE, when they sell you something make sure to clarify what it is that they are saying because its a shady business with smoke and mirrors. They will leave you high and dry holding the bag. I will never return, I will preach it from the mountain tops, I am not "confused" or "misunderstood" They misrepresented the product. Frank : it's not a matter of fine print. I was told verbally by the manager that if I purchased it would provide a "life time no questions warranty", While I am sure that the fine print says something different. As an owner, I am shocked that no one has said "Sorry for the misunderstanding, I will be sure to provide training to my staff that will ensure they speak clearly about this when selling relevant products in the future.", I'm not asking for you to honor what was "expressed or implied" I am offering solid advice to help your business continue into the future. BUT TO THE REST OF THE YELP WORLD : You have heard it from the owners own mouth You can not trust what the employees say to you. In fact he is encouraging customers to read the fine print on the products and on their website prior to making a purchase. I had a great experience with Batteries plus bulbs. I walk inside I tell them I need a new Battery. I wish I remembered his name but a male with glasses and blond hair insisted that he check the battery first. I told him that I had taken it to Autozone prior and was told that it did not work. He continues checking it as well as telling me about incident he's had with Autozone. He throws it on the charger for a few minutes and tells me that the volts are indeed coming through and he would charge the battery for a few hours and he would give me a call when it's ready. The staff did not only not try to sell me on a new battery but was very helpful in getting my original Car battery charged and up to par. read more

My day started with a thud when I discovered my cell phone would not start up after charging. I spent an entire day traveling around town seeking a remedy. I visited 3 different AT&T stores, the Samsung departments of both Best Buy and Walmart, a phone repair shop, and the AT&T trouble-shooting shop. That's 7 places. All to no avail. At each stop I was told a different and grave story, the phone was a goner, I needed to buy a new one, something called the mother board was "fried", the AT&T folks tried to sell me new phones, the AT&T trouble shooting shop told me not "to invest any money" into the repair of my phone. Somewhere along the way a young man wrote down the name and address of Batteries Plus Bulbs at 1632 Howe Avenue. I walked into the door and was immediately and cheerfully greeted by Vlade. I asked him if the problem could be the battery ( as I had asked at all other stops ) and he said "Let's take a look"! After determining it was not the battery, he said he thought the phone might just need to be "re-set" and suggested we look it up on line. After a couple of promising attempts............viola.........I have a perfectly functioning phone. Vlade is a genius, he looked at the simple fix, and went the extra mile for a customer ! This is obviously a well run and organized business. Batteries Plus Bulbs will be my first stop from now on. I needed a new battery for my iPhone. Scheduled an appointment online and received confirmation by email. Then I received a call asking me to come in an hour earlier to be sure they had a tech. I told them I needed a new battery and the guy seemed to think I wanted a new screen. I clarified the service I wanted and agreed to come in early. When I arrived, the guy at the desk insisted I needed a new screen and I told him I need a new battery. At that point he checked on the computer and then his supply on the wall and determined they didn't have a battery for me. I'm not sure the point of making an appointment, having it confirmed, and telling them what I want if they're not going to have the parts I need. read more

Batteries plus saved me $185 by replacing my cell phone shield ($15) instead of replacing my cell screen ($200). Meggan at the Howe avenue store in Sacramento suggested peeling off the old shield and seeing how bad the crack was (it looked BAD). Before coming in we contacted this location to see if they would be able to help install the battery because we didn't have the tools to do it ourselves. Sarah was able to go over our battery options over the phone and said they would be able to assist with the install. This store is the greatest find! I just came across this Howe Ave Batteries Plus a couple months ago when I needed a lawn mower battery. Matt and everyone else at this store go way out of their way to answer questions and help customers find what they need. As it turned out, I didn't need the lawn mower battery for which I was promptly given a refund. But since then, anytime I need a batter of any kind, I go to this Battery Plus Store. They always have the battery I need and are able and willing to answer any questions I might have. One last comment. . . their prices will beat any other store prices. Very reasonable.
