HEY! HOW ABOUT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK IT HAS BEEN 6 MONTHS. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK. My cell phone battery died, so I took it to Batteries Plus in Tualatin. The battery they sold me would not fully charge and heated my phone alarmingly. I googled my phone and saw that I had been sold the wrong battery. Now this is when things started to get interesting. My girlfriend had bought the battery on her card and I had paid her back. When I returned the battery she was at work so I had them put it on my card. When I attempted to use my card later that week it was declined. I went to the bank and found that my account had been closed for over a month due to inactivity. I returned to Batteries Plus and asked for them to resolve the matter. They said the bank had the money and they could not do anything about it. They also told me that there was no way to put money on a closed account. Gee, that is exactly what I was trying to communicate to them. Then the clerk that sold me the wrong battery in the first place walked up and repeated everything and said "that that can't happen, your money is in the bank." So, I drove back to the bank and the teller called them and told them that the account on the receipt had been closed since September. (On a positive note, I have found US Bank to be very helpful and understanding.) Now they want me to come back in when the main manager is there. This will be the fourth visit to this store with no working battery (they recycled my old one) and I am out $38.99. At this point the bank has suggested that I file a claim. 1. I want my money back. 2. I have driven out to Tualatin three times now and expect to have to go another time. 3. They treated me disrespectfully and condescendingly in front of my girlfriend and other customers. 4. I had to ask repeatedly for them to look up the transaction that I held a receipt for. Update; they took my phone # and said that someone will call me and mail me a check. A few days later still no call. read more

I've been into this location twice now for harder to find batteries. Although they did have them in stock their sales staff was not very accommodating and their prices were on the high side. I only recommend coming here as a very last resort. read more

I bought an automotive battery (batteries plus Duracell) six months ago, and while doing routine maintenance such as oil, air filter and such I also inspected the battery terminals. The terminals were highly corroded which led me to remove the battery to check for issues and I found a crack in the upper portion of the battery. I took it back to batteries plus Tualatin to see about a replacement (it looked to me like a manufacturing defect), but was told "what are we supposed to do about it, the battery looks crushed?". After this exchange I asked for the managers number and was told by the employee that "it's not like he's going to do anything about it since it's crushed". I left the battery with the terrible employee (I'd already purchased another from O'reilly auto parts, great customer service and warranty). All in all a horrible experience, and it's very obvious they're not willing to stand behind their products. read more

I purchased a battery to replace one in my garage door opener. The battery worked poorly at first and was completely dead in 2 days. I confirmed it to be the battery by replacing it with another known to work well. Of course I don't retain every receipt for every little battery I buy so I cannot even claim warranty replacement. A battery store should reliably provide quality batteries and they do not, and provide replacements when a bad one crops up without expecting everyone to retain every receipt of every purchase made. Sometimes less expensive proves costly. I went along with their heavy upselling and had them install a new phone battery, but I'm pretty sure they never installed it at all, or if they did, it was no good. I had to return, and although they replaced it, I had to waste an hour of my time. Most companies will give a rebate in that situation, but not this company. No discount for my wasted time, and more offensively, not even an apology. I won't be back. If you do go there, beware, they will try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need. read more

Matt at batteries plus in Tualatin, OR saved me a ton of headache by giving me a piece to my motorcycle battery that I lost. He didn't have to. He was well with in his right to say "Nope, sorry. "We don't sell them. Contact the battery manufacturer." And I would've understood as my situation was solely my fault. But instead he let me send him a picture of the part I needed, and immediately CALLED ME BACK. He said, "No problem, I understand how it goes. We have extras and I can just give you one." He empathized with me and listened attentively to what I needed! It's this type of customer service that I feel sets individuals apart in a retail/customer service setting. People who will do extra when they really don't have to. Or people who might give you a piece when they don't have to or they could simply charge you. Bought a cell phone battery less than a year ago. The battery is now going into the red zone within 6 hours of charging. Batteries Plus in Tualatin stated they needed it overnight to "test" it. Next morning they stated it tested at 84% and they only replace it at 80%. They refused to replace the battery. And when I mentioned that they had just lost a customer, I was invited to not return. DO NOT GO HERE!! It is NOT worth saving $30 for their sleazy business. I took my iPhone in for a screen repair because it got cracked pretty badly. It was fine, but after about a week I started having issues and then the screen just shut off completely and no matter what I did I was unable to access or use my iPhone. I brought it into an apple store for a professional opinion, and they took a look inside the phone. Apparently, when Batteries + Bulbs replaced my screen with a Third Party screen, they completely BROKE my iPhone. They had destroyed a screw box and a screw was just floating around inside my iPhone.. Apple was unable to replace the screen. Had to buy a whole new phone, and when I called Batteries + Bulbs to get a refund, they completely refused and said that I should have brought it to them before the apple store. I am completely upset with them, I will NEVER go anywhere other than an apple store for troubleshooting. Steer clear. read more
