The two gentlemen that work here during weekdays (whose names evade me at the moment; gent with the Cadillac and bald gent) are simply fantastic. Moving to this area has been a really rough transition for me, but two of the first people I encountered were the gentlemen changing out our little sedan's original 2005 battery! A couple months later, our Jeep Wrangler needed a new battery, and of course, I was taking it to these two gentlemen at Battery Exchange! Not only are they friendly, they're helpful and tested things to make sure my old, bad battery hadn't caused other issues that I needed to be taking care of, too. Excellent customer service, friendly gentlemen, and the type of guys that made me not quite so sad and homesick. Nothing worse than a dead battery at 11:30 at night - mobility challenged and stranded!!!! Called for rescue and a jump, they got my battery charged up and said I needed a new battery for the tune of $128...........I took the option of driving for a half hour touring Tigard to charge the battery and would go to Battery Exchange the next day. Pulled in and JJ was there to hook up the car......he checked the alternator - "It is OK - That's good news" he said. He proceeded to check the battery - "That's good to go also". I headed to my dealership and found out that I had a minor electrical problem that I had fixed. Good for me!!!!! BUT let me say this - JJ could have sold me the moon at this point. I know absolutely nothing about cars. I just want to get in the car and turn the key. But he didn't.... I have so much respect for JJ and my experience at Battery Exchange. Thank you!!!! read more

Professional and nice, the battery's are less expensive than every other place I called plus they will test your battery for free, I also had my blades changed and they were half the price I expected and they installed for free. I went in and bought a battery from Mark. Took the battery back home and installed in my truck. It started right up and went for a drive. My mounting bracket was broken and when driving, the battery ended up shifting and hitting one of the pulleys and gouged the side of the battery and ended up spilling battery acid everywhere. So, I went back to Battery X-Change and unfortunately, he was not able to cover it under the warranty. So, I had to buy another battery. But, Mark went above and beyond for me. I could tell he felt back, so what he did was make me a new mounting bracket so that the new battery would stay in place this time. It took him about 45 minutes, but he made it work and he didn't even charge me for it. Thank you very much Mark!! I would highly recommend these guys for anything you need. They have great prices and make sure you leave happy. read more

I have used these guys for years and had good experience and wanted to support local small business. Things have been great, right up to the point of having a problem with a battery they sold me. Bought a very large agm ($$$) battery from them for my truck. When it was pulled from the shelf I was told "it has been sitting here for years, but here you go". I asked about the warranty incase I had problems with it. It had a 7 year warranty and 1 year free replacement. I started having problems roughly 9-10 months after purchase. Went in to have it tested, which they held for a day and came back claiming very confidently that it was NOT the battery. At this point, I start throwing money at it testing everything on truck for electrical shorts, draws, etc. Over $1000 later, zero electrical problems with truck. I go in again, and get told again it is not the battery. So, I am forced to keep the truck on a trickle charger just to drive it and carrying a portable battery jump station with me. For 4 months until it finally won't hold even the smallest charge!!! Finally go in and they are still shaking their heads and not believing it was the bad battery. They give me a pos regular battery instead of the agm one I had originally purchased as a replacement. I was stupid and took it (instead of insisting I get a direct replacement) just to get my vehicle running again. Well, here we are 2 months later, and yup, the pos battery they gave me is already going down and loosing charge. It appears they do not move this size of battery often, so shelf life is what I assume is the problem. The bigger problem though, is all the crap and money I had to go through just to get a battery replaced that they knew was old to start with!! I'm washing my hands of the deal and of Battery X-change!! read more

We bought 6 deep cell batteries for our travel trailer 5 months ago from Battery Exchange in Hillsboro. After several months of use, we had an electrical problem fixed by another company and was told the batteries had been wired incorrectly and the batteries were no longer holding a charge. We were upset so we took the trailer back to Battery Exchange to get new batteries under warranty. We talked to Todd, the manager of the Hillsboro store, and he called Larry, who called us back immediately. Larry had us take pictures of the batteries so he could visualize our setup. He was very helpful and knowledgable and calmed us down assuring us that Battery Exchange could help us out of this mess. Under his care, we had hope and were advised to take our trailer to the Beaverton Battery Exchange where we were to meet with Troy. We were assured that Troy could help us to know if the batteries were truly the problem. It took Troy 15 minutes to discover that the batteries were connected incorrectly to each other and that is why there was no charge. We were on our way in 2 hours and everything works. Not only that, we felt that we had excellent service by Larry, Todd, Troy, and Pat, who was the manager of the Beaverton store. We will buy all our batteries from Battery Exchange in the future (hopefully, not too soon) and will recommend them to family and friends! read more

These guys are super awesome. I had a horrible experience with NAPA Auto Parts who gave us the wrong battery, and the fellas at Battery Exchange helped us remedy the issue. They even helped me gather the evidence necessary to get a refund from NAPA, which was above and beyond what I would have expected. I rarely write reviews on sites like this but they were the best. In fact, I don't recall having a solid, positive experience like this in any auto-related service provider. I definitely won't buy a car battery anywhere else moving forward. read more

I had some battery draining issues with my car. I bought my battery from this place and still have warranty. I took my car there to get the battery tested, battery tested good but I was still having battery issues. Took the car back there a week later and explained my issues to Pat, he decided to give me new battery to assure me that it's not the battery that's causing the drain. If my car die again, I have a peace of mind that is not the battery and will take it to a shop to find the root cause. I'm a satisfy customer and will recommend my friends to go to this place if they ever need new battery, alternator, and starter. read more
