I've been taking my Mercedes C230 to the dealer for over 5 years. One day, I finally got tired of all those crazy fees and decided to take it to Bavarian. Holy smokes, best decision I ever made! Although the car needed A Service, which is about one hour of labor, Eddie tells me everything checked out fine and he's only gonna charge me half an hour of labor. I also needed an alignment since car was pulling. Eddie then tells me since the back wheels were already aligned. He's again only gonna charge me half hour labor. I was in and out the same day, literally for a third of what I would pay at the dealer for typical Service A and standard alignment. I can't recommend this place enough! Can't say enough good things about this business and the people who work there. I discovered BM after visiting BMW Encinitas who had quoted an outrageous price ($1400) to replace leaking coolant lines for my 2014 BMW 550i. Because my vehicle was no longer under warranty, I had to face the reality of bearing the entire cost for this repair. Naturally, I decided to explore alternative options ..... Enter Bavarian MasterCare. After reading all of the reviews, I decided to set up an appointment. Upon arriving, I was greeted by the shop manager, Wayne and began to explain the situation. Since the car needed to be left at the shop, I left the keys behind with the promise to be informed the following day by noon. At promptly 10AM, I received a phone call from Wayne informing me the extent of repairs. Rather than replace the whole coolant line system, he recommended to replace only those lines which appeared to be defective -- Total Cost $499, almost a thousand less than what I had been told at BMW Encinitas. I really appreciated Wayne's commitment to customer service and integrity. He was super informative throughout the whole process and made it clear their philosophy was to earn my repeat business, not maximize the $ of the repair. I had a starter failure on my 1998 Mercedes Benz in the evening and had to be towed when most repair shops are closed, including my regular shop. I called Bavarian Master Care, based on a previous unrelated contact, and the owner Hamed agreed to receive the tow. He completed the starter replacement in two business days, as well as several other needed items observed during the repair. I was satisfied with the cost and appreciated his efforts to minimize the total cost of the repairs. After picking up the car, I experienced another evening starter failure, and had the car towed back to this shop. The shop replaced the defective starter in two business days, this time at no cost to me. I am very pleased with this shop and the business-like atmosphere in the shop, as well as the effective customer communications employed. My wife and I used to own a BMW 3 series (used to, being the key term--stupid gas prices!) and at the recommendation of a fellow beemer owner, we brought the car in for some routine service. Needless to say we kept coming back when work needed to be done as everyone that works there is helpful and friendly. It's not their fault that anything involving an import is obnoxiously expensive--both the parts themselves and the labor involved--so you can't necessarily point a finger at these lads for their pricing. It was always expensive (another reason we no longer own a beemer), but cheaper than a dealer I'm sure. If you own a Merc, a VW or a beemer, check this place out. This visit was my first to this shop, and it was prompted by coinciding oil service and brake pad indicator lights. Wayne provided such a thorough summary of the state of the vehicle and its timeline of things likely needing service that I wonder how different this visit was from a tune-up. He also explained why he was recommending repairing or replacing certain items and not others, and did so at least three times. I took my BMW 650i into Mastercare after discovering a coolant leak. Fortunately, it is covered by an aftermarket warranty. Not only did they do a great job fixing that problem but they found other issues that the local BMW Dealer had not bothered to mention to me. The car is running so well I can't believe it's the same car! When I picked the car up it had been carefully washed and the interior and carpets cleaned. I'm new to SoCal and recently bought a used car since wrecking the one I drove here from Missouri. The used car I bought was a 2004 BMW and I supposedly got it for a "deal". With only 95,000 miles on it, the seller gave it to me for $4,000. Since that time I've had horrible luck and had to put a lot of money into it to keep it running. The radiator blew and I had to have a new head gasket put in, a new engine, replace the radiator, and replace a few pressure values that were causing an oil leak. All in all, i would say the BMW wasn't a "deal", and the owner sold me a crappy car that happened to be in good condition. My luck hasn't been so good but Bavarian Master Care has been good to me. Since owning the car BMW has been the only place I take my car. I saw tremendous reviews and knew that BMWs required a good mechanic in order to replace the pricey parts. I know they felt bad for all the issues I was having so Ahmed and his mechanics got my work done at significant discounts to me so I didn't have to put so much money into the car knowing how much I got the car for. They've been extremely good to me on discounts and replacing only what is needed, nothing more. They've gotten to know me and my car by name and are timely in fixing it for me. Hopefully, I won't need to be coming here anymore as I just had to come back for another look at the "over heating'" but it turns out that it was just a broken thermostat which isn't anything major. Like drywall screws holding parts on underneath. They also showed how it was in a crash and a few other issues that made it a risk. They advised not to purchase this car.
