Around 10 am we got a robo call that our tech was on the way. Adam showed up about 15 minutes later. He was clean, polite, cordial, and incredibly helpful. He gave us tips on how to get the best performance out of our refrigerator and freezer and even gave us his card if we ever have any questions. He was absolutely fantastic! Adam did a good job of walking me through the diagnosis and what things could it possibly be and fairly quickly identified that it was a broken sensor that detects if the door is closed. While on the way out, I just happened to ask if they serviced refrigerators since my new water filter wasn't fitting into the slot. We responded to ensure someone would be home to let the technician in. On the day of the appointment, we got an automated phone call stating that the assigned technician, Adam, was on his way. Customer service is terrible. They have come out multiple times to fix an oven and dishwasher. Came out with wrong part. If you have a home warranty and they want to send these guys out DON'T let them. Now they want me to pull the oven out from the wall even though they pulled it out last time... as does every "qualified" appliance repair company...unbelievable! No appliance company before has ever made such a request. I think it's an excuse because they don't want to do the work. If so, just tell me and the home warranty people. When I contacted Bay Appliance to confirm my appointment time for two appliances that needed repair under warranty I was told that they had only recv one work order and that I had to contact the warranty company again for second work order. While I was contacting the warranty company I received a call back stating they had found my second work order and they would be sending someone out. He claimed he changed a pump - the one he left looked brand new, so now given that was 2 visits ago, and the dishwasher still won't drain, i suspect he didn't even bother. The worst repair experience I have ever had. Our repair tech's name was Vlad B. and he was probably the most unfriendly person I have met in years. He would not listen when I tried to describe the problem and it quickly became obvious that he didn't want to put much effort into the job. Our problem was that our water dispenser in the fridge would work for about 30 seconds but then would make a thumping sound inside the unit and then the water would stop coming out. Let it sit a while and it would start again. It was fine for 10 years and only started this about 3 weeks ago. He pulled out the fridge, noticed the water valve was only 90% open, turned it the rest of the way, and then there - it's fixed now. He then suggested I leave the built in fridge out about 8" from the wall and protruding into the kitchen area. I told him we need to have it back where it normally goes. After he pushed the fridge back in, the cabinet hit on the top of the fridge and wouldn't open. I asked what happened and he said, "I don't know, maybe your house is settling". Really, it settled in the time he was here? It was fine this morning, now it wasn't. He said "it's not my fault - I don't work on cabinets." I finally just asked him to leave the house and readjusted everything myself. And the original water problem, now the water comes out about half as fast as it has for the last 10 years - what a great repair. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU USE THIS COMPANY! read more

Their service guy came out But only after we had to wait 4 days and spent 5 minutes. Told us it was a problem with our circuit panel and left. Waited an additional four days for the electrician to show up. He came out and proved that it was not the panel told us we'd been lied to and left. We then waited all day today for Bay Appliance to make this right, but they did not respond to either us or the company that carries the warranty on our house so we've had to go to another service supplier. At 5 I called asking where the tech was and they said they didn't know and didn't know if he was going to show or not. He finally did around 5:50. They called to schedule a repair a week later. Again, 12-5 window and again the guy showed up after 5:30. He finally did the repairs and as he was leaving he picked up his tools and started walking out. I asked if he was going to pick up the containers for the new parts and dispose of the old and basically clean up... he said "you can just throw them out In recycling and walked out." This is the second appointment that I have made that they have not showed up for. They give you a 5 hour window in which they tell you that they will come. The first appointment that they made not only did they not show up but they did not have the courtesy to call. The next day, they apologized for the lack of communication and said that they will prioritize my appointment for today. I told them that I had an appointment at 1pm and that I could not change the time. They told me that should not be a problem. They gave me a timeframe that they would be at my home between 8 and 12 pm. At 11am today I called the company and told them that I had still had not heard from the technicians and that there was probably not enough time for them to complete their work if they came as I would have to leave at 1pm. The person I spoke with said that they should be there by 1pm. I reiterated to him that I had to leave by 1pm! He told me that they would be calling me to tell me the time when they would be able to be at my home. I am totally frustrated and can not comment about their work as they still have not appeared. It is now approaching 12 noon and I have still have not heard from the technicians. Another wasted morning waiting for people who place no value on their customer's time. read more
